As a Portuguese, you have no idea how this victory felt. Not only because the whole Europe underestimated us but they were hating on Portugal, throughout the whole competition while we were just having fun and screaming unity. It wasn't just those 11 players on the field, it was the whole country. WE did it.

I remember going to my cousins house going to watch the game and my brother would always use Éder in FIFA for some reason when he scored the final goal we went insane, thank you Éder you are truely a hero

This video sums Euro 2016 pretty accurately: Portugal is never mentioned until the semi-finals, that's how much everybody disregarded us until we beat one of the most loved teams (Wales).
Anyway, the video is great, as was the tournament, both in and out of the pitch. However, it should feature some footage of the Portuguese celebrating back home in the famous Marquess of Pombal Square (Lisbon) and Aliados Avenue (Porto).

Goosebumps ! One of the best moment of my life. I'm so proud of my country for hosting that big event. I want to thanks all the foreign fans I met in Paris and Lyon this summer. Even though I was quite sad losing the final against Portugal, the whole tournament was so powerful. I miss that Euro vibes so much, given the current football situation under covid19 pandemic...

The Real Lone Wolf The journey was horrible, come on man. Drew all of their group games to 2 teams that qualified for the first time, and one in 44 years. Then two games which they should dominate and got very lucky in Croatia and a world class goal by Renato Sanches against Poland.
