Yes, I frequented many an LA Jazz supper club for too many yrs to count & the indifference of many in these supper clubs was Nasty, to put it mildly, one of these supper clubs in LA's SFV, Bill Miller, like myself was a frequent patron when He wasn't on tour with Sinatra often seated at the main Bar as I was
Michael Chapman: Bill Miller. Yeah. I'm glad I did that Google search when I uploaded this video, only to find out that Bill was playing here and was basically Frank's pianist across the board so, I could, at the least, give him credit for his great contribution to Frank's music. And, I know what you mean. I used to play in a wine and cheese club over on City Island in the 80s. It was brutal at times, with the noise of the customers, the workers and the slamming front door but, I got a song out of it. I called it: "Slammin" Door Blues" ha.
Thanks for letting me know you enjoyed it Sal. I actually got "yelled at" by RUclips for uploading this video and "Just One of Those Things" but, then they posted them anyway. I'm glad since, like you said, classics!
Didn't sing, but did 1000's of weddings and even more cocktail hours - and if I never see a catering hall kitchen again and all the nasty slop in them I've witnessed - there's one for ya, baby! I'll play piano for myself now.
I didn’t like the middle sisters jealous attitude. She just wanted to a show. Not a good reason for a relationship or marriage. She didn’t care about him. I thought he was a little weird and out of place. I love Doris Day!! She sing a lot of beautiful songs. Great actress!! I could listen to Frank Sinatra over and over. He sing some mighty loving and passionate songs. I tell you that was singing and music!! Today don’t know what it is. Every so often a meaningful song comes out♥️♥️😃😁🌹
I love Doris Day in this movie and Sinatra is well cast but the prelude to this scene indicated that he would always be a problematic, proverbial pain, unworthy of her.The script should have had Doris ending up with Gig Young but Sinatra wouldn’t allow it !?
There can never be another Frank Sinatra
I wish I could go back in time and listen to him live😢
