Amazing job Will & I really like this vehicle.
I have a 19 Murano and I agree that the CVT is the weak link in holding it back performance wise. It's been extremely reliable so far at over 71,000 miles. It's V6 might be the only one sold that is still port injection and not direct injection. Also no cylinder deactivation or annoying stop start. Overall I would definitely recommend!
I agree! I have a 15 Murano with 90k and love the ride, comfort and Bose audio system. That CVT I hate, it is the one thing holding this car back and why Nissan is still doing this does not make much since on a V6. They do it for fuel economy I guess but if I wanted that I would have got something smaller. This Car would be a beast with an automatic transmission. Waiting to see what the 2025 model brings!
@@johnplatt9518 A lot of car design has to conform to govt. regulations. Get rid of those, & we'd have way more awesome vehicles on the roads.
My family just picked up a 24 SL model. Its actually pretty nice. No huge screen on the dash, has a V6, not very expensive, and the CVT seems fine in normal driving.
Always a good job Will on your rewiews! Is there drive modes on this model? Maybe if they had a sport mode that would make the cvt ratio better? Also would you recommend the murano over the rouge? I’m looking at both like 1-2 yrs old for better deal compared to a new one.
Thanks Tony! I tried many different things but wasn’t able to change the drive modes or ratios. The gear selector didn’t even have the button on it for “sport mode” like some of the other CVT Nissan models unfortunately.

It’s possible the Murano will switch to the same 9 speed transmission the Pathfinder uses in 2025. Due for a pretty big change I believe. Will be interesting to see the 25. But this is a decent price for a v6 engine!
Hopefully with that 9 speed they keep that tried and true 3.5 V6. Last I heard, it was going to be a turbo 4 banger. I hope not!

Imagine Buying a nissan like this, I am waiting for a redesigned murano because the Murano we have now feels very dated still having the cd player. Who the fuck uses CD players in 2024? Extremely old and dated
