Question: When using potrzebujecie in "you need," will it have the same meaning if you leave off the "wy"
Usually, in a neutral way, it will be without the pronoun "potrzebujecie"
Only if you want to emphasize "YOU need" it will be "wy potrzebujecie".

What about 'muszę'? 'I need to tell you something' does not translate 'Potrzebuję ci coś powiedzieć', but 'Muszę ci coś powiedzieć'.

It will be usually "nie trzeba" or "nie potrzeba" depending on the context.
Please when to use trzeba and not potrzeba ?
TRZEBA and POTRZEBA as verbs can be often used as synonyms meaning "is needed". However, here are some differences that can be observed in the usage:
TRZEBA + VERB (infinitive)
"Trzeba" means "is needed", "one needs", "you need", "you must", it is impersonal, and is mainly connected with verbs in the infinitive form.
Trzeba uważać. - You need to be careful. / One needs to be careful.
Nie trzeba tego robić. - You don't need to do it. / It is not needed to be done.
POTRZEBA/TRZEBA + NOUN (genitive)
"Potrzeba" means also "is needed", "there is a need" and is mainly connected with nouns in the genitive case. Also "trzeba" can be used in this case, maybe less frequently.
Potrzeba snu. = Trzeba snu. - Sleep is needed.
Ile potrzeba czasu? = Ile trzeba czasu? - How much time is needed?
NOTE:
"Potrzeba" (but not "trzeba") can also be a noun meaning "a need", "a necessity".
It looks the same as the verb but the meaning is different (they are so called homonyms).
Compare:
"Potrzeba pieniądzy". - Money is needed. (Here "potrzeba" is a verb.)
"Potrzeba jest matką wynalazków." - Necessity is the mother of invention. (Here "potrzeba" is a noun.)

"Potrzeba" może być czasownikiem albo rzeczownikiem. To są homonimy, czyli dwa oddzielne leksemy, które wyglądają tak samo, ale mają inne znaczenie.
Tak jak w angielskim, "need" wygląda tak samo jako czasownik (to need) i rzeczownik (a need).
Można zajrzeć do słownika np. wsjp.pl i wpisać "potrzeba". Tam pojawią się dwa hasła:
potrzeba I (rzeczownik)
potrzeba II (czasownik)
Podsumowując:
"Potrzeba" może być czasownikiem i znaczy "is needed", "one needs". Często wtedy może być zamienne z "trzeba".
