Say hello to my new mic! It’s surprisingly good for a budget Amazon mic lol. Also I’m obsessed with the quality of my photography camera. I’m using my Canon R6 instead of my Sony A6100. I used it in my recent home decor video as well and I’m loving it!
The people that run a booth the NorCal Renn Faire also run a Dickens Faire around mid-November to mid-December. It has more steam punk but it's pretty cool for an indoor event with a dance floor.
@@cpt_eleanore haha yeah and I think I was bamboozled because usually kids costume pieces are crap quality but these boots felt nice 😂 so I didn’t suspect Halloween costume at all.
Wow your thrift stores are treasure troves ! I'm jealous, where I live there is only a charity shop which isn't bad but finding this type of aesthetic is definitely more difficult lol.
I am SUCH a sucker for Mossimo bags, and did not actually know they were from Target - I find them almost every single time I hit up the GoodWill bins, and absolutely have a habit of snatching them. That green one was fantastic
Got myself a blush pink blouse and skirt thrifting today- both everyday fairycore style and for medieval fairs later in the year. The Robin Hood festival in Nottingham is a great one in the UK
Do you think you’ll still make some skirt hikes and such for another show in the future? I vaguely remember it getting mentioned in a previous show but I can’t remember which lol
I might try to make a few today if I have time. I have a few belts I can recycle and I have the rest of the materials so let’s hope I can get it done!!
I always love a good belt. Unfortunately, sourcing plus sized ones can be a pain. I wind up using too small stretch belts to fake an empire waist on various things.
Idk about anyone else but I’m not “concerned” with what brand something is when thrifting (unless it suggests the quality) but I inform people what the brand some pieces are so that if they are searching online they can be more easily found since a lot of online secondhand shops only list by brand and not by style. And in recent years some specific brands have had collections that have lots of pieces that are easily worked into Renaissance and fantasy costumes even though they’re “contemporary”, which is useful to know since a historical costume piece will be a lot harder to find secondhand and a lot more expensive brand new. People who are new to dressing up might be less inclined to invest in those pieces and those who are on a budget definitely can’t. So it’s more informational to make things accessible.

Know where I live it's very hard to find stuff like you do the only time we can do that is if it's October and it's Halloween 🎃❤

Ooo I’ll have to check that out!!
My favourite part was when you said the Anna (Frozen) cosplay boots were a “cultural thing” 😂 love the video though I promise 😍
Omg hahaha 🤣 oooops - shows how much I know about frozen - which is nothing 😂
@@DressMeUpScotty to be fair, I only know it because I’m friends with a lot of Anna cosplayers. But it gave me a good laugh!
Tbf they were probably meant to look cultural from Anna's part of the world
@@starlite156 Good point!

As a Sacramentan I recommend eco thrift in citrus heights, renew in roseville, dollar thrift in citrus heights and Antique trove in Roseville

Mossimo has some great stuff! I love that backpack, I was surprised it didn’t sell at the show!
Pretty sure the "cultural" kids boots were Anna's boots from Frozen lol

Knox Rose is at Targets. I'm drawn to it naturally.
