I just took delivery of my new Kia Stonic GT Line S a couple of weeks ago, towards the end of June, delivery about 17 weeks from ordering in February. I’m quite happy with it so far. I have it in a darkish grey with a black contrasting roof - it looks quite discreet & unobtrusive, which is what I prefer in my cars. I’ve never been an aggressive driver, even with some of the more powerful vehicles I’ve owned over the years (3 litre and 5.4 litre 4WD for example), but even although the Stonic has only a 1 litre engine it is adequately punchy for me, when required, undoubtedly due to the mild hybrid boost.
Really considering getting this as my first car ( age 39 ‘ mature ‘ learner 😂 ) , I do like it in the yellow ❤ I was going between this car and the Citroen c3. Nice review
A wonderful looking suv. I even like that it’s kIA’s old design language (though I love their new design language). I also like that it’s old skool in many ways, for people who don’t like all the touch sensitive buttons. Oh and a handbrake. I wish all cars had a conventional handbrake lol.
I like the spec on that Kia , proper dials, so much easier to read, a handbrake yay ! Don’t want heated seats, steering wheel, keyless entry, navigation, adaptive cruise, etc . All it really lacks is a CD player . Good looking too .
Seems a loveley wee motor, 3 pot thrum! Lots of kit and well built. Is it by only available in manual Ben? Interesting how the hybrid system gives the motor low down torque and boosts economy.
Hi George - the Stonic is available with four trim levels, two engines and two gearboxes (manual and automatic DCT) Totally agree with you about that economy! *A
Did this model have the imt, and if so, how did you find it? Some have noted that with this combination, the clutch is difficult to modulate as it is a 'switch' and 'fly-by-wire'.

No digital dials even on the top spec is disappointing. Alternatives have it beat there but otherwise a nice car
Yes as it’s a jacked up Rio essentially it’s the same setup and typically that’s what the owners want otherwise they go for Niro 😀
