NBA Live 98 (PS1) Intro Video

- This is one of my favorite intro videos from the entire NBA Live series. It was recorded with some generic dvd recorder and published with Windows Movie Maker's "Straight to RUclips" option. The quality has turned out pretty good when I've used this before, so hopefully it will remain that way.

I'm probably biased because I used to play this a lot, but this really is one of the best intros to anything ever

mali when the grizzlies were in Vancouver. and the toughest team out west was Seattle with Gary Payton. the Cavs had nobody and and the Knicks accually made teams fringe at the fact that you had to play them
Joseph Reese The cavs had Shawn Kemp, Terrell Brandon and Bob Sura back in the days so it's was a pretty good team

It's amazing how a clip like this can in the space of a few seconds immerse me in such deep moments or feelings of my childhood and touch my soul so deeply.
I remember this intro used to make me super excited to play. lol And Michael Jordan was player 89. lol

98 NBA live intro! Unbelievable intro start-up to a game. The music’s just crazy through a top end quality stereo.

Arguably the best intro to an NBA game...but well deserved, since it was the real NBA...
had to log in and say thx for this video. have to agree with everyone else, this has to be the greatest NBA game intro. The Pippen and Sprewell dunks still gets my hyped. Seeing young Kobe dunks from the dunk contest was cool too.

NBA Live '98, the only video game that I bought and never end up playing. Everytime I watched at the intro, I had to switch my PC off and go out and play real basketball. The video is pure DOPE !!!
Grant hill was unstoppable in this game. I always played with my home team. Man I miss childhood

used to always get hyped just watching the intro. The Pippen dunk always got my 7th grade ass outta my seat every damn time! These players are so skilled and talented, that whoever said we done with the 90s is a bronsexual who just wants to discredit Jordan, lol

I miss the old NBA Live. It was so complete considering the technology back then. Nowadays it has become a cash cow.

You had to create Mj back then and it worked well, it was easy with the appearence and all, as if the NBA crew new that people are gonna make him, but they couldbt officilay because they didnt have the rights

Sadly, this was not the dunk, I will keep trying to find it. From the 96-97 regular season.
the graphics were not very good, but the reality was cool, many could not do the throws from above! as it was in real life....super game!!

Licensing. He was separate from the players. 2K buys his likeness separate from the league, and it’s why games have the same problem with Barkley or Jabbar
