I was getting ready to order one, then I started watching videos about carbon wrapped barrels acting as insulation holding heat in. What are your thoughts and have you ever done any testing on this subject. I've seen alot of people on yt talking about it but can't find anyone including manufacturers testing heat build up compared to steel barrels or if there could be enough build up to take away the annealing.
May I know if replacing the trigger with a TT Diamond with affect accuracy, like ruining the factory calibration? (btw is there a way to sell the removed factory trigger, or is it just $$ gone in the trash bin...)
The Modern Precision Rifle comes with a Trigger Tech trigger already, so there is no issue replacing it with an upgraded model if you want to. Just get a Trigger Tech designed for the Remington 700, Brownells currently has these on sale: bit.ly/3hvy2tC. And you could sell the old Trigger Tech. It is a more basic model than the Diamond, but would still be an upgrade to a factory Remington trigger.
This is a complete rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor. Christensen Arms announced this week that the chassis can be purchased separately for the Remington 700 footprint.
You could either buy the complete Christensen Arms MPR Rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor. Or buy a barreled action (action and barrel) chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor and buy a chassis directly from Christensen.
@@AdventureColorado yeah I'm more of a bench rest shooter so I need to probably get it broken in a little more and then see what it's like. 1.5-2lbs would be better for my use.
You're right, if you are mostly target shooting, lighter would be preferable. I think 2-3 lbs is a good idea for hunting, especially if you may be shooting with gloves on.
@@AdventureColorado I have the 5-25 mounted in vortex pro series rings medium height. I have about 2-3mm of clearance from the front rail and 56mm objective.

I haven't done any testing on carbon fiber barrels. Since this is more of a precision rifle I try not to let the barrel get too hot.

Have you looked at the Tikka TACnA1? I’m looking at the MSR or the Tikka TAC A1. What do you think?
I've heard good things about the Tikka rifles, but I don't have any experience with it myself.
Mike Purdy i live the tikka the only thing is it super heavy compare to Christenson
does the butt of the stock adjust vertically? I see it expands for LOP but does plate slide up?
No, it adjusts for length of pull as you mention, but you can’t adjust the buttstock up and down.
Which model of the atlas bipod is on this gun?
I started out with the basic 6-9” model with a picatinny mount, bit.ly/3IUaNGT, then later upgraded the mount to an Area 419 Arca mount.
Is this compatible with a 6.5 Creedmoor barrel assembly?
This is a complete rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor. Christensen Arms announced this week that the chassis can be purchased separately for the Remington 700 footprint.
@@AdventureColorado So what all would I need to use this chassis with a 6.5 CM? I'm a gun noob when it comes to this.

Just got mine today and it breaks at 3lbs like clockwork every time.
That's a good weight for hunting.

Hi... may I know the brand and model of the scope ring? Thank you
They are Vortex Precision Matched rings. amzn.to/31Zk1uT
@@AdventureColorado What height do you recommend? I'll be mounting a PST GEN II 5-25x50
I have the PST Gen II 3-15 and used medium height rings. The 5-25 has a 50mm objective, so you probably need to go up to high rings.

@@SkinnySkinch Good to know, the medium height rings should work for the whole PST II line then.
how many inches is the barrel?
This is a 22” barrel. I believe it comes in 24” and 26” as well.
