Hi is there a job in fashion that is kinda mix between being a visual merchandisers and a fashion designer. Like i would love to design and make clothes and design the layout of the store to display them. Aswell as decorating the store and designing how the whole shop looks.
How do you feel about guys going in this field? Are there any advantages/disadvantages or is it pretty even. Thanks for the vid, made me a lot more confident in my choice as a merch major
I believe it's pretty even, just more women choose to do this. But I know several men in the industry right now merchandising! I'm happy this video helped you out!

Whats the best way to get into the industry if you have a degree in biology? Internship? Would a company even consider you as a strong candidate since you don't have any background in the field?
Amber Rapp if you have a degree in any other field, the best way to get into the industry would be through an internship or through an entry level position (think office work/admin work/any position that gives you exposure to the fashion field) and then start having conversations with people about where you want to go career wise. People change careers all the time, so they won't be turning you away because you have a different background. When submitting resumes and cover letters though, link what skill sets and experience you think relate to the position you're applying for.
