why 195mm roof joists on a permitted development build, and the span is small, and when height is at a premium, unless you've got planning permission?

Hello fella!! It’s because of the length of the roof. I use an online roof span calculator that works out the weight bearing load of the roof for me 👍 Problem is it’s not just the roof under ‘normal load’ it’s taking into account stuff like when it snows? It needs to bear up to all this stuff basically 😁

@@TheHomeRenovationExperts ah nice one, makes sense as I see the joists are running down the length of room!

Why don't put the pir insulation boards before you put the osb on the outside

Hello buddy!! Basically it a lot easier to put the PIR up when you have a surface to push and fit it flush up against. Makes life a bit easier but hopefully I shall be fitting this tomorrow!! :)

I meant put it on the outside like you putting Osb boards than put the osb boards on top you will have continuous insulation and less cutting

@@theetheeyog9878 You would use a lot of space to do that and have empty walls

    • @theetheeyog9878

@@CraveThatCoin this why this country has some of worse buildings practices in Europe you worrying about empty walls😂😂😂 think about the cold bridge on them timber you don't have to leave them empty you could fill it with loft roll insulation they not expensive just incase you worry about cost useless UK builders you lot are only usefull for energy companies

@@theetheeyog9878 Hello buddy! Yeah any height we add to the top would need to come of the inside so a hybrid roof it is :)
