Satisfactory, the game which sees you dropped on an alien world by shady industrial overlords to convert its luscious greenery into cold, hard, yet undeniably satisfying industrial progress, has been one of my absolute favourite games of the past few years.
I already had a LOT of hours logged before I made my first Satisfactory song and I have played countless more since! So when Heroic Replicas reached out to me to create a follow up to my original song to help promote their new selection of Satisfactory replicas and merch, of course I jumped at the chance to dust off the hideous brown corduroy business suit again!
Having seen Heroic Replica's work up close, both their Satisfactory and non-Satisfactory creations are really rather fantastic so it was great to get the chance to work with them on this project! A huge thanks to them for making this project possible and the chance to return to a game I love!

LYRICS:
INTRO:
Do you love the sweet smell of industry in the morning?
Does terra firma fill you with terror versus firm factory foundations?
Have you ever looked at Mother Nature’s splendour and thought, ‘Eugh...’
We have brave FICSIT pioneers nobly shaving off the galaxy’s superfluous greenery
Grinding it down into the fine mulch of progress and refining it into pure ingots of profit
And now you too can join them
Welcome
To the AWESOME shop
CHORUS 1:
The planets and the stars are new frontiers of revenue
And our pioneers bring bargains factory direct to you
Try not to be disheartened by the trees that we consume
Call and place your orders of
Products from the AWESOME shop
INTERLUDE 1:
Violent violet boars on your iron ore?
Carnivorous critters crashing your Caterium conveyors?
Then do we have just the product for you!
VERSE 1:
Every planet features sweet resource veins that you can extract
Sadly, selfish creatures then, of course, make them their habitats
We’ve got a brilliant new addition to your haversack
Thirty thousand volts of pure eviction in one handy pack
Introducing the Xeno-Zapper, just as soon as it leaves the wrapper
Any nuisance beasts giving you any grief just give a brief zap and you’ll see them scatter
Is it cruel? Does it even matter? Deep below, well, we need that matter
It’s a tool with a decent stagger but certain pests need a beefier splatter
The Xeno-Basher is our premium offering
Guaranteed to leave more than a few teeth wobbling
When local zoology opposes remodelling
We recommend them a deluxe clobbering
INTERLUDE 2:
Case in point!
This little bugger clearly needs an excavation of his brain from his head
Oh... He’s uh... He’s brought me a berry...
Nobody’s ever brought me a berry before...
Go on, get out of here!
CHORUS 2:
The planets and the stars are new frontiers of revenue
It’s one small step for industry, one giant deal for you
Leaving deep space carbon footprints in some giant freaking shoes
Wake up babe, new ores just dropped
Now stocked in the AWESOME shop
VERSE 2:
‘Cause it's thirsty work, converting the fertile earth
From worthless dirt to stuff for the twerps on earth to purchase
So, what’s a few birds in a furnace?
Slurp from your new coffee cup, you’ve earned it
Land that’s not wasteland stands wasted
Raze those plants and then replace with
Plating plants, gas excavating
Fracking plans are quite groundbreaking
Flora and the fauna aren’t important when there’s more to sell
Heck, even our chainsaw fuel is ground up alien tortoiseshells
There’s no need to focus on our one-sided war of the worlds
Ripping up the rosebuds as we’re plundering these ores n’ wells
Climate impact? Disregard it, you’re under contract to farm it
Our market share just can’t be spared and you’ve got artifacts to HARVEST
INTERLUDE 3:
NEWS FROM EARTH.
WIDESPREAD CHAOS.
THERE IS NO HOPE BUT FOR ALL CITIZENS TO IMMEDIATELY HARVEST ALIEN ARTIFACTS.
YOU MUST COMPLY.
YOU MUST COMPLY.
YOU MUST COMPLY.
CHORUS 3:
The planets and the stars are new frontiers of revenue
And our pioneers bring bargains factory direct to you
You’ve reached our complaints department, you’re three millionth in the queue
Critics say we oughta stop
But then who’d stock the AWESOME shop?
OUTRO:
It's that blinking Lizard Doggo again!
That’s it, you were warned! I am gonna clobber you with...
He’s brought me another present!
Look, I can’t do it! He’s too cute
It’s a... It’s a barrel of nuclear waste...
Thanks little guy... I could never be mad at you...
Another beautiful song! Your voice is lovely and your growing collection of accents is just perfect. Plus, the cute little stuffed animal in this video is adorable.
Thanks for another great song!

Its the only game i ever bought on Google apps.

@@GrimlanderMG I like to think of it as... most of the planets in the galaxy are dead and lifeless. Why not make the few exceptions match? We call that symmetry.
Can I get an explanation? I feel like this is a reference that was lost on me.
@@chrisj4288 Orson Wells was the director and narrator for the radio play of ‘War of the Worlds’, referenced in a previous line of this song. The radio play caused a public panic as many listeners believed we were actually being invaded by aliens.
@@GrimlanderMG ALSO Rosebud is a reference to his other most famous work
Citizen Kane
“There’s no need to focus on our one-sided War of the Worlds,”
“Ripping up the rosebuds as we’re plundering these ores ‘n wells,”
…This wordplay is so GOOD
Ahh, I get it, Wells wrote the War of the Worlds
@@colonelcorn9500 Not quite. Yes, Herbert Wells wrote War of the Worlds, but this is a double word play.
You see, the movie Citizen Kane was produced by and was starring Orson Welles, in the end of the movie the word "Rosebud" had a major significance. Also, the same Orson Welles made a live play of War of the Worlds on the radio back in the day. So, yeah :)
Plus you've got the character embracing their role as villain. He doesn't just reference War of the World, but places himself in the role of the alien invader with immensely superior technology come to exterminate the local life and plunder the world.
"Critics say we oughtta stop, but then who'd stock the awesome shop?"

Yeah, I keep waiting for someone out there to go “we need a very brilliant and cleverly worded line here, let’s get this RUclipsr as a consultant!”
Referencing 'War of the Worlds', 'Citizen Kane', and of course Orson Welles who had major roles in both. And both directly relevant, what with the alien invasions and the rampant capitalism.^^

Welp, we're back at sinister capitalism once again and it has been proven once again that it's one of your classic themes. Great job once again M. Stupendium Sir !
I fear you might've picked the wrong Satisfactory Stupendium song mate, just saying
isnt that just regular capitalism?
So I'm listening to this song again for some unknown number of replays, and it occurs to me that Stupes is alarmingly good at writing lyrics for dystopian and evil corporations. I want one where they are genuinely good with no ulterior motives and are confused why their reputation is garbage.
First someone gotta make a game about it.
The Dyson Sphere Program in a similar vein as this is actually a pretty good candidate - you harvest dead worlds to make dyson swarms and spheres to provide energy to among other things living worlds.
As a bonus, a dyson swarm can actually be used to make a star last longer than without a dyson swarm by focusing the sunlight back onto the sun to then capture said hydrogen and reduce the mass of the star - it's the ultimate end goal in solar technology. Not quite the ultimate in life extension for the universe, that'd be black hole civilizations.
@@Hust91I smell kurzgesagt
@@user-insaynebokoyt I do like those but The Dyson Sphere Program is another factory videogame on steam with a lean towards the very far future after humanity is all uploaded to computers and features amazing visuals and a generally optimistic view for the future where humanity has conquered the stars and solar power in its most extreme form is the be-all end-all in power generation.
Well, House always wins kinda is. House basically runs a corporation that owns casinos and has a division of manufacturing robots and Space ships. And while he does do some shady things, he's mostly well intentioned and his efforts are to try and save humanity rather than anything nefarious. As he says, he didn't start the fire but he makes a profit sweeping up the pire. Plus unlike Arisaka he actually doesn't have any desire to control humanity or control anything outside of New Vegas. He just wants to find a new planet and have his corporate empire run by him alone to accomplish that goal.
The best way to get people to buy your products is to have the stupendium make a song about it. It could literally be a song about potting soil and I’d still buy a bag.
Literally
The lizard plushies were immediately sold out cause of this song lol
@@triggerhappy4199 I believe it. Who can resist the power of the Stupendium?
The diode with "Chorus" lighting up is just another level of detail.
Didn't notice that, there's also a "Spoken Interlude" light in the bottom right

You must comply by mr. gusty from from fallout 4
2:43 " There's no need to focus on our one-sided war of the worlds. Ripping up these rosebuds as we're plundering these ores n' wells."
God _dammit,_ Stupes.
Is it just me, or does the way Stupes says "Ores 'n wells" sound like "Orson Welles". The other funny part is the "one-sided war of the worlds" thing, cause Orson Welles was the director of the original War of the Worlds radio drama. That was probably intentional, right?

@@Dr.Belububub Orson Welles was the director of a famous radio adaptation of War of the Worlds (referenced in the line right before). Also, "ores" (raw metal) and "wells" are natural resources that Ficsit Inc. will plunder.
"Wake up babe, New ores just dropped"
What a cultured line Sir, many compliments
this one's got some great moments. From the lizard doggo giving a berry followed at the end by nuclear waste, the CEO zapping himself, just how dorky he is. But hands down the best was the alien "you must comply" part. It came so unexpected to me since I have not played the game, so it felt like I just walked into a horror song and I'm digging it.
I'm not sure it was the CEO this time. Marketing Director, maybe?
It's not really clear what role it has in the game either. At this stage of development, Satisfactory does not have any story at all. The devs assure fans that the story is at least drafted, but not yet implemented, as they work on the game mechanics. The 'you must comply' line is happens when you are close to certain alien artefacts, suggesting that they are using some form of telepathy or communications hacking to try to manipulate you into harvesting them, but this is likely something included only as a joke - same filler material, a placeholder to amuse the players until production starts on the story. These lines are in turn a reference to an animal in Subnautica, which uses a natural hypnotic effect to confuse much larger prey (ie, the player character) momentarily while it takes a bite and flees - they play a very similar-styled hallucination in the voice of the game's personal assistant and guide.
I currently have two theories to that part
a: It was a real message and there's some deep lore we don't even know about
b: the CEO was fucking with us just to get more money
either way, it's amazing
The lore behind the “you must comply part” is in game, your in-suit personal assistant gives you tips on how to build your factory. Occasionally you will come across alien artifacts. Many people think that it is still your assistant talking because they sound the same, but looking closely at the artifact you can see it pulsing with light at each syllable. My theory is that they are mimicking your assistant, or hacking it.
To be fair, those of us that HAVE played the game also feel like a bit of horror game when the game does that to us.
Your constant cacophony of rhymes and tongue twisters, even in absence of a backing track or video, are wonderful. With the addition of the rest it becomes quite superb.

He introduced me to Evil Genius II. It was fantastic.
The fact that Stupes keeps improving with every video AND that these songs keep coming at such a (relatively) quick rate is honestly impressive
This is a nice contrast to the songs with the 'you will submitt to corporate opression and be miserable' theme. Nice tune and... flow, loved it, keep up the great work Stupes
This was great! I really like the explosion part!

I LOVE THE UNDERTONES!!! Stupendium you are a legend
Stupendium really just nails the corporate vibe Every. Single. Time.
1:12 Op that's a puppet :D
A matter of factories is my favorite Stupendium video and now we get a sequel?! Absolutely brilliant! This one was really funny and fun to watch. Adding it to my daily list.
It’s so nice seeing you get sponsored to make these! I was amazed at the ores’n wells pun, excellent work as always Stupes!
“Ripping up the rosebuds as we’re plundering these *ores n’ wells*”
It’s simple but I loooove the play on words here!
It's a shame this song doesn't have more views, it's a real banger
Not sure which game it is from but I enjoyed the song regardless, had a particular chuckle at "Ripping up the rosebuds as we’re plundering these ores n’ wells" :-)
Best of luck to you and thanks for the smile.
A sponsorship song has no right to slap this hard!
Yooo it's been years since you made a Satisfactory song I nearly forgot! You've only gotten better at being a money hungry entrepreneur lol, awesome job! The sudden instrumental change in the chorus on "orders of" and "awesome shop" are so fitting lol.

Solid biofuel: Am I a joke to you?
You make it from either plant or animal remains
2:48 That level of pun should be a federal offense.
I gotta say the “YOU MUST COMPLY” part is just as startling as it is in game.
As someone who plays satisfactory you do this game a lot of justice with both of your songs
