Perfect. This is exactly the next thing I want when I'm building mocs and adding detail to my city. I was working on this type of thing back in the early 2000's to make waterslide decals for model rockets with mixed results using my own printer and "decal" paper but in the end I had to outsource big custom vinyl stickers and it was pricey. One would think with the technology available today everybody should be able to make custom vinyl stickers.
A pro tip, consider a "bleed", it means you have to add an oversized color area, that way when you make the cut, it have enough tolerance and will not show any white area
The pressed steel building reminds me of the ford plant inside greenfield village. Nice-looking build. Great orange color to it. Being able to make your own decals will be awesome.
Thanks, trying to do vintage looking things. I also plan to mess around with railroad cars in the future and want to add markings and such to them as well.
Daryl, This single video is got me really excited because making my own stickers is something I have always wanted to do. Please please please make more videos with a lot more detail as to how we can go about doing this ourselves. I know you want to sell stuff but I know there is a few of us that would really appreciate how you go about doing custom stickers.
Excellent video. How have you been able to get the color of your stickers to match the color of your legos? I am using the official hex code for the legos when they print, the colors aren't very close and don't look good. Thanks for any help! Cheers!
There is no simple answer is it all depends on the finish you want and the type of printer you have. But its sticker paper and I use both matte and gloss finish for laser printers. The paper needs to match the printer type otherwise it causes issues.
@Bevins Bricks World ouch. May be worth it down the road, but that's a big investment. I'm stoked to hear you're going to sell sets though. Super looking forward to picking up your stuff.

Very cool stuff Daryl. Funny how we go from hating stickers to making stickers😂
Thanks buddy, Lmfao yeah, I still love brick built. But for my new Direction and realism. Stickers are the only way I can get there.
@@BevinsBricksWorld INDEED they do add a lot

Absolutely, just takes a bit of time and patience to learn the software and machines. This cutter was on sale for 220 which to me was a good price.
Great video Daryl thanks for the info 😁
Thanks Nate :)

Thanks so much I appreciate the tip.
A treasure chest full of info.. Can't wait to see more.
Thanks, still trying to learn tricks of the machine. But I have high expectations :)
Enjoy🎉
Awesome
thanks buddy, Happy Easter again to you :)
@@BevinsBricksWorld thanks.

Was a pretty common color brick back in the day. Old Ford buildings usually had green glass frames also.
You’re incredibly talented Daryl! Nice work man!
Thanks so much, Merry Christmas
So cool, going to create some great detail
Thanks, trying to do vintage looking things. I also plan to mess around with railroad cars in the future and want to add markings and such to them as well.
To cool Daryl just to dang cool.
Thanks
that was great! hadnt ever seen such a machine before. learning sothing new everyday!
Always fun to learn new things
Awesome buddy. This I am sure will take your Moc to the next lvl. Can't wait to see what all decals you design up.
Hey Dave thanks
I love this man, you played a part in getting me into city building and converting my city into MILS plate.
There addictive once you start :)
Cool idea
😀
Living the dream!
Amazing video! Super cool!
Thanks
can wit to see more stickers soon
Nice , looking forward in seeing the stickers on your web site 👍
Thanks, hoping to start listing stuff by Sunday.
Nice looking machine. My wife has a cricket machine it cuts vinyl and stuff for her craft stuff
I was gonna do the cricket but with this having a scanner and not needing to be attached to a computer and cloud I like the ease of use more.
@@BevinsBricksWorld oh, good thinking Daryl

Still need to learn it all myself first :)
This looks awesome! Another option to consider is the print then cut option with a Cricut or similar cutting machine
Didn't Like Cricut due to everything having to be done thru their website
Found you on TikTok and I am glad to subscribe 😊❤
Thank you so much
New toys are always great. Can't wait to see the jump in quality this might bring. Just stay away from STAMPs please. 😅
No stamps :)
That’s awesome man. I keep telling my wife we need a printer for LEGO stickers.
To print you can use any printer. I'm using my laser printer
@@BevinsBricksWorld copy that
what material do you print the stickers on and what's your printer ?
I print on vinyl and I use a brother laser printer.

Just a lot of trial and error, but typically I dont try and match them.
What kind of sticker paper are you using?

I would really like to get a sticker printer to improve the look of my city.
You can print stickers with any printer just need the paper
@@BevinsBricksWorld ah okay thanks
Cheers Daryl I have been thinking about custom stickers, need some for my moc. I may have to shoot you an email. Great vid thanks for sharing
They are a real pain so far lmao, but I'm still learning the software and such
Is there a machine that will make print pieces?
Yes but those start at around 1000
@Bevins Bricks World ouch. May be worth it down the road, but that's a big investment. I'm stoked to hear you're going to sell sets though. Super looking forward to picking up your stuff.
Yeah I'm not messing with printing parts until I see how I do with my current investments
@@BevinsBricksWorld that's smart
