Great video! One thing I could add is to mention is that vinyl lattice expands and contracts quite a bit on larger panels with temperature changes so be sure to allow a bit of space for these size changes especially pre drill holes for the screws larger than the screws used and cut the panels slightly shorter than measured or you will see the panels bowing quite a bit in the hot summers.
Thanks for the tip. If I have a large vinyl lattice project I'll be sure to get a finishing blade and give it a try. This project was just a couple panels needing cut and the oscillating tool made it light work. Thanks!
Good tips, maybe alumnus or stainless gutter screws will work. I’m heading out today to fix a lattice with no idea what it’s really going to look like until I get there. I have an oscillating tool, so definitely bringing it along
The best way to cut any vinyl product is with a circular saw with a fine tooth blade turned backwards. That's how I cut all my vinyl siding with a cutting table. That is if your doing long straight cuts of coarse. That being said, i love those oscillating saws, lets you do work and get into places no other saw can. Good job
Thanks for the tip. Whenever I will have a larger vinyl lattice project, I'll be sure to try it with a smaller toothed blade. Since this one was a small project of a couple panels it wasn't a big deal to use the sonicrafter tool and made it easy to cut.
Great Job Bro!!! Know I know how to do it myself!!! I didn't think about how good you can make that channel secures it or makes it looks so crisp like ha. Now I have to change my plans to do it the right way but thank you for your vid man!!
Hey good job but I used my hedge/branch cutters. Easy peasy! Not power operated, just hand power and was as simple as 1-2-3. I’m 61 and my long branch cutters , Bypass pruners!
Great job and tips.👍 You can also turn your circle saw blade around backwards and cut it without problems. It works on plastic siding also. Thanks new subscriber liked 👍 hello from Kentucky mountains USA
That I'm not sure about. I'm sure an air powered staple gun would work but not sure about a hand powered one. If you want to attach a screen then possibly look into using 1x2 wood or plastic to use as a border frame for the screen to "pinch" it in between the lattice and wood. If you only used staples to hold the screen then it could lead to the screen being torn easily and could come out wavy looking. Maybe look on pinterest for some ideas.
It should still work by installing it to the hollow vinyl post, if you think about how to install vinyl fence panel to a vinyl post it gets screwed into the hollow post. You will need to make a frame to hold the lower and upper sections of the lattice then also attach the frame to the posts.
Yea you're right! I didn't have the correct screws with me that day of the repair. I had to go to the hardware store to get shorter screws so they wouldn't stick out on the other side. I got 3/8" screws with a hex head that are rated for outdoor work. They would be the type of screws used for aluminum/ gutter work.

Five minutes of your video set me up perfect. Thank you
Thanks, glad it helped!
Circular saw with a finishing blade works very well too and is much much faster.
I've used the circular saw hundreds of times without any issues
Thanks for the tip. If I have a large vinyl lattice project I'll be sure to get a finishing blade and give it a try. This project was just a couple panels needing cut and the oscillating tool made it light work. Thanks!
Thanks for this video! The oscillating tool worked perfectly for me to cut lattice for my porch enclosure. Much appreciated!
this was a huge help - used your ideas today - worked awesome with the multi too w/round blade like that. THANK YOU
Cool I love my oscillating tool. So many uses & it's easy to use.

Awesome video
You did a good job explaining things. Thank you 😊
Thanks for sharing, I hadn’t thought of using my multi tool.
Great work.
Good video. I used a plywood blade on my circular saw for that years ago. It seemed to work good with the small teeth.
Thanks for the tip. Whenever I will have a larger vinyl lattice project, I'll be sure to try it with a smaller toothed blade. Since this one was a small project of a couple panels it wasn't a big deal to use the sonicrafter tool and made it easy to cut.
I am intending to cut it with a jigsaw
Great tip! Thanks for the video.

Thanks for that tip Corie, I'll have to give it a try next time I have to cut lattice.

Thanks for that tip. I'll have to try that next time I have a lattice project. Thanks for commenting and subscribing!
very helpful...we have been struggling with skill saw...melting the vinyl...
The oscillating tool makes it a cleaner cut for sure. Thanks for watching!
I have an angle grinder. Can I use that?
That might be a bit overkill and melt the lattice. Maybe try it on a test piece first to see how it does.
Did you use the grinder? I thought of using one also.
Do you know of a staple gun that will go into the vinyl lattice?
I want to attach a screen

What size channel are you using and what screws to attach the channel to the wood frame?
The size channel is whatever Home Depot carries. They only had the one size channel. The size screws I used were an 1-1/4" exterior deck screws.
super helpful!! thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
How do you do it if you want in between vinyl posts that are hollow?

Jig saw works
Nice video but Im on here for cutting vinyl lattice only not the whole project but thank you.
built decks for a few decades , always used a ok or better circle saw blade and never had any issues .

can you do a tutorial please of how to install the lattice underneath your shed?
I didn't install the lattice under the shed. I'll take a look and see if it's something I could explain how to do on camera.
I use a grinder.
Must show how you do it!

thanks for the info, now i know what not to do
Dog, u didn't show the screws going in???

Most easy? 🤣
