This video describes in detail how to build an APC, including how the 555 chip works, how the astable and monostable circuits work, how to put it all together, & a demo of the finished product, both standalone & plugged into a Line 6 Spider IV 75W amplifier with awesome effects!
To help you get the most out of this tutorial, I've posted the slides and the narration transcript at my blog site here:

Happy Tinkering!
I've been struggling to get a working 555 model going and succeeded with this! Thanks! :D
This is by FAR the best APC how-to video out there. You are very stable, and actually explain the theory behind everything. Thank you for a great video
This was really helpful, Puneet. I've built a few kits but have been frustrated because I didn't have much idea what was going on, so I thought I'd try and take it back to basics and learn some simple audio circuits. APC seemed like an obvious place to start, but nobody really breaks it all down for you the way you do.
Thanks.
This has really helped thank you very much for making this.
Nice video sir, one of the few every bit is explained.
+Pedro Forastieri Thank you! You are very kind.
