I was bowling Pete Weber for the U.S. open title in 1998, and i left a 5-7-10 in the pocket. PDW only needed 7 to beat me and he threw a guitar ball!!! I was receiving my $100k check, when my Alarm clock woke me!!😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
@@jf5618 So Walter's 8-10 wasn't a bad break? Come on man...Dick Allen also had a pocket 7-10...but it says "and mistakes" in the subject of the video....not just bad brakes...
Reminds me of golf. You think you have your form down, then the lanes change (oil and such). Kind of like golf when you think you have your form down, then the weather comes into play. And in both one move the wrong way or timing while doing your form can throw off your game for that hole/frame.
How can you leave out the original 10th frame disaster. Del Ballard in 1991. I remember watching that live when I was 14. First time I ever saw a pro throw a gutterball at a full rack on TV. I was completely shooketh.
With this video published in March of 2018 I am disappointed that the Ryan Ciminelli fail versus Jason Belmonte was not on there despite it not being a win or lose situation for him
I tell something about bowling: you can’t hurt yourself by physically hurting yourself, but you can hurt yourself with bad breaks, but if your Ryan Ciminelli, you can only hurt yourself with ringing/solid 7 pins
I saw a match on the TV where a bowler missed the same ten pin conversion early in a match, then disputed he was distracted by someone coughing or something and they gave him a re-do and then he converted it. That's bush. Also 3:44 - 3:48 ? Whiff.
I've met him before and he actually is't a bad guy. He was so happy because he thought he was done. I would be that happy if my opponent left an 8-10 to give me the title, even though I would feel bad for him.
Del was so awesome about it, went over and picked up his bowling ball and left the building, not a word said, then he made a commercial for tums and joked about it.
10th frame is a buzz kill even for me theres no.mark in my 10th frames bowling can be fun it has it's ups and downs it takes years and years of practice to find your mark and it takes more time to stay with your mark
Did you see how far that ball deflected after it hit the headpin? His release was off even though it hit the pocket. Either that or the headpin weighed 8 pounds...
@@djbigsmooth470 Everything has a reason to an extent, but suggesting any pocket shot should leave an 8-10, it just doesn't matter, it's purely unlucky.

is hank the one that said loser?
My dad was there live and I remember the telecast like it was yesterday, damn time flies
"He just lost the tournament!"
"You do NOT see reactions like that [You KIDDIN' me?!] from Walter Ray Williams, Jr."
I saw this match live and when Waller Ray left the 8 - 10 my jaw was on the floor
Looked like a good ball going in. Walter Ray really had a terrible break on that one.....

He hit a guitar? That's a first!
I didn't know we were allowed to use guitars as equipment now. 🤣
You had me in the first half not gonna lie
Ciminelli did have a hell of an attempt tho...
Yes but it was so close it almost just added to the "bad breaks" part.
The only true bad breaks here was Ryan x 2

Mika's missed 10 pin is truly tragic, but I just love hearing him curse in Finnish.
Bowling looks easier than it actually is to play.
agreed
Well ........ yea.
@Geoffrey Lee
: More like a thinking game.

Mostly mental than physical
The Physics of ten pin bowling are both fiendishly straightforward and cruel.

once again, the recommended page has brought us together
That 7-10 at the beginning is enough to make someone cry. He almost had itttt

That is the whole reason that they all throw hard and straight down the middle. You are 100%.Correct!!! I felt bad for Del
Del Ballard dumping it in the ditch needing 7 on his fill ball continues to top the list
1:22 "Fuck Mika" felt bad for him on that shot.
Started with a video of an ibex climbing a dam and now I’m here
Well..i was recommended a leopard chowing on a Pumba somehow and then this...
@ 0:42 Seems like Norm Duke is chanting a spell which allowed him to win US Open #jokes
“Oh my god that’s a loser!”
When the Finnish bowler misses the spare, that look on his opponents face is priceless.

A sad finish for a sad Finnish bowler.
"OMG ITS A LOSER, HE JUST LOST" I lost it too! Hahahaha
Mika, were you trying to hit that ten pin on the fly?
that last shot hit the pocket and STILL GETS A 7-10!? Now that is BS!
frenchfrey65 it happens
frenchfrey65 it was a little low
You have to see the mess he made of this match BEFORE the split to truly appreciate the horror.
ball deflected
@@Ace_v120 that's what too much spin and not enough speed will get ya!
He got close to picking up that 7-10 split
I know how some of these guys feel. I miss spares all the time, when there's 9 pins left standing.
@ 2:30 funny every time LOL 😅😅
Walter Ray, strike to win, 9 to tie, hits pocket and leaves 8-10 to lose by 1. OUCH
thestime by two, if he hit one of the pins. Doubt he made the spare
*OH MY GOD THAT’S A LOSER* 😂😂😂

I can't imagine the pressure bowing on TV and also the lane conditions since they ha e different oil patterns

Glad to see the pro's are no exception 🙄

Thanks man
I was hoping to hear Ernie Schlegel react like a maniac on his opponent’s miss.
“NO! Oh my god, that’s a loser!”
Almost Pepe his pants.
How many chances does he have at 46? Norm Duke is 54 and he just won 2 tournaments.

This is not Nam. This is bowling. There are rules.
I remember watching that Mika one live. Gutted.
Good to know the bad breaks that happen on league night happen to the pros......
I love at 1:22 "fuck, Mika".
To much pressure for me, I got a gut ache just thinking about it.
Anyone here after Neuer made the 7-10?

And you're not done yet!
Mika missing that 10 pin still hurts to watch.
Those ten pins are very difficult for me.
Hermanus Lemmer You’re just a sucky Bowler
most games ARE NOT lost in the 10th frame...they are lost in the first 9 frames
0:15 "fuck..." I can litterally see him die as soon as he threw it
Taking that last shot in the 10th needing a strike or two. Is very hard even in a regular league the weight of the team is on your shoulders
Patrick "Corky" Allen has no class. Showing up the Great One with his Schlegel impersonation.
I've met him before and he actually is't a bad guy. He was so happy because he thought he was done. I would be that happy if my opponent left an 8-10 to give me the title, even though I would feel bad for him.
Ok
Mark haugen was celebrating too.... at least Duke showed class when he got a gift.
You can't really compare them. Mike Haugen bounced back from a 56 pin deficit when Mika only missed a 10 pin.
Drummer.Bowler I didn't realize that but it still comes across as celebrating your opponent missing vs you performing well.
Half of these pissed ME off

Bowling is that type of sport..
As a bowler myself for me I fee more pressure in the 9th usually than I do in the 10th.
