1:18 For context this was the Motel 6 roll to riches qualifying. Low count gets eliminated. Jaros was the last shot of the round, at the time Barnes was the low count of 9. That's why Barnes had that reaction. Barnes went on to win the event for $100,000.
There should have been a counter for "YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME".

I have gotten my fill of "are you kidding me" for a while 😂
There are so many "solid" 8 and 9 pins nowadays that I no longer think of it as a bad break. The game has changed so much that my thinking has changed with it. This is what happens with the mix of modern balls, pins, synth lanes and walled oil patterns. Decades ago it was the weak 10 and the 8-10 split, nowadays you've got your eight and nine pins. Hit high flush with insane ball speed and too much entry angle and you've got to live with the results.

Over 20+ years as a leauge bowler (215-220 avg) I've learned you gotta have some luck no matter how much u pack the pocket!
Randy Pedersen always makes a reference to his solid-8 that cost him a tournament everytime a righty leaves one.
I was curious if you were going to find clips from this year's Tour Finals. EJ had a foul and 2 count, or 2 count and foul. Not to mention AJ Chapman's 2 count and miss

I've been victimized by that 8-10 split more than a few times. Flush pocket, and it's basically a stone 8 with a flat 10, but on the same ball. It just absolutely sucks.
On the 8-10 split (7-9 for lefties), the 5-pin generally goes in front of the 8-pin (9-pin for lefties) signalling a weak hit.

I've been bowling for 4 1/2 years for various leagues. I'm not the world's best bowler (I average between 95 and 100). However I have learned during that time that if you hit the head pin more often than not you will end up with a split or a 9.
You are absolutely right. Aim for the six pin.

It's so frustrating to jump around different providers and payments to watch bowling. If any viewers want to watch something other than what's on their cable, it's an awful experience. We need exposure and collaboration between orgs, not competition and exclusivity.

I went bowling once. I had a fun time. Unfortunately, my girlfriend Misty, was more insterested in drinking draft beer during our experience, and got very drunk and puked on the bowling lanes. The bowling lane guy, kicked Misty in the head, and hit me over the head with some bowling shoes. Thank you.

The 7-10 by Scroggins is much worse than any other 7-10 because the one of Scroggins couldn‘t be more flush than that
Pocket 7-10 splits are a really bad break.
