Bowling Planet has returned from a 3 week hiatus! I haven't made a solid schedule yet as mentioned in the video but I hope this video makes up for the lost time!
I really like the moment at 7:25 Belmo acknowledging the challenge of bowling pdw. Whether you like him or not, you cant deny his talent over decades of bowling at a professional level.
2:36 that doesnt even sound like a celebration scream. he looks like he is in a movie like X Men origins wolverine where his wife died and he looks up and screams
That's great😂 you know there's bound to be some bowlers that legitimately don't like some of their rival bowlers. Kinda like the whole Belmonte-Rash rivalry, you get the feeling it's not an act for the cameras.
Forgot all about Brian Voss, he can be quite the energetic guy when fired up. Also I was expecting to see Ciminelli's "Redemption Baby!" and Barrett yelling after winning the World Championship. But either way I enjoyed the video.
Thank you for putting up these vids, I grew up in junior leagues bowling idolizing these players and was fortunate to have Randy Peterson and Doug Kent as my coaches when I bowled in the juniors at West Hollywood lanes .thank you again
The infamous [ 8 pin ] Left by Randy Pedersen vs. Ernie Schlegel !!!!!! I thought Ernie showed poor sportsmanship, because Randy needed that for title and rolled a great shot and got screwed with that infamous 8 pin!!!!!!
What's awesome about all of these clips is my coach on lessons Sunday mornings discouraged lane courtesy as a way for us to focus on our shots. Initially it felt weird walking up on the approach on Chris and Linda Barnes but like true professionals, you're in the zone the second you set your fingers in the ball. After a few times it felt kinda cool just getting my ball wiping it, setting up and destroying the pins realizing CB was right next to me and left a solid 10 :DDDDDDD Won't lie the Barnes are some of the best people you could ever come across and getting compliments from both of them on my style and accuracy when I was debating going Pro was all I needed. Sadly we moved the same year and bowling became too infrequ
Mikey Mendez absolutely. And god forbid you crossover and Brooklyn. He gets pissed. But then celebrates when he does it. I’m glad i dont see him on the tour much making shows anymore.
i remember going to the us open way back in early 2000s when i was maybe 10 years old, and all i wanted was a pdw signature. he didn't make it far on the stepladder so just booked it immediately. luckily his wife is cool and gave my dad some signed card. i got everyone else to sign the commemorative bowling pin besides pdw smh
I saw so disappointed when I finally saw PDW because I thought that meant I was near the end of the video. A bit naïve, in hindsight, considering he was naturally half the video 😆
Just for fun: (If "In their Prime", Exact Clones were possible): Bowling Clone: Pete Weber. Basketball Clone: Bill Laimbeer. Wrestling Clone: "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan. Baseball Clone: Steve Garvey. Auto Racing Clone: The late Elzie Wylie "Buddy" Baker (Asphalt) and Billy Moyer (Dirt). Football Clone: A Plethora of Cheerleaders (Female). Fantasy Island Clone: Tattoo (RIP). Edit: Male Prostitute: Fred Garvin. Daredevil/Entertainer: "Super Dave" Osborne (RIP)
And this is the difference between the decayed underpaid bowling culture of today and the honorable, respected and "rewarded" players from the Golden Age of bowling. Can you imagine the great Don Carter or Dick Weber screaming at the top of their lungs after a win or shouting at their opponent during competition to unsettle them?
In the early days of Holman, supposedly tv ratings were lower if he was on the show. It appears johnny king was the ernie schlegel of his day. Except he would physically bother you, for example, by putting ashes in your thumbhole. In his autobiography, Carmen Salvino has some strong words about king. He may have used the term cheater. Today’s players are encouraged to act the way they do. Even gentleman Norm Duke gets into it. The screaming does seem a little “over the top.” Exception; when Tom Daugherty needed two pins to get 100. :)
Hi everyone! It would be greatly appreciated if you would consider supporting my channel here! www.buymeacoffee.com/bowlingplanet
"Your back, but I'm still here" has to be one of the greatest comebacks in the history of the sport.
Bottle bitch is up there for me
@@j-j8984 ehhh idk
That’s a good one, too!
These guys are dweebs.. as well as the announcer. There's nothing great concerning their outbursts except the level of immaturity.
That split was awesome
7:30 “HE AIN’T GETTIN HIS FIRST ONE AGAINST ME! NO WAY!” is outta control lmao
THAT’S RIGHT BABY! THAT’S RIGHT!

oh hey carson

What is "it" that we "wanted" that we "got"?
@@brianwu2697 It was a reference to comments that Belmo made that he wanted to bowl PDW so he could beat him for the tournament.
Chris Barnes saying "you're back? I'm still here" absolutely killed me😂
The best 😂
Corniest shit I've ever heard
*AND I LOVE IT*
Hahahahahahha great line 😂😂😂

When I get on Tv, I’m gonna come up with something unique. Like: Cowabunnga!
“Let’s go!” has gotten too popular the last 5 years. Need a new one.
Hey remember Weegee
That's all they can say, lmao. I mean, do you expect Sean Rash to go "TAKE THAT YOU BOTTLE BITCH" every telecast he's on?
I really like the moment at 7:25 Belmo acknowledging the challenge of bowling pdw. Whether you like him or not, you cant deny his talent over decades of bowling at a professional level.
No, Belmo seemed to be mocking PDW in my estimation.
I’m pretty sure they were teammates that game
@@nothanksnoname7567 it was a doubles event. They were teammates.

7:18 Belmonte and Weber, absolute hype
Gotta love it
I just found this channel. Bowling is more exciting than I realized, you just earned my subscription
Thank you so much!
2:07 I love the fact that his yell was directed towards Johnson's celebration. You can tell that Barnes is really in his game then
Riley Powley after the clip cuts out in this video i think Barnes actually walks by AJ so close that he shoulder checks him a bit lol
@@stratocaster0842 Barnes 100% shoulder checked him. It was glorious.

@7:29 is my favorite. "He's not getting his first one against me!" LMAO
6:05 "I looked up "INTENSITY" in the dictionary and I saw a picture of Pete."

Who do you think you are?

I looked up "asshole", and it was a picture of Pete.
Love Pete or hate him he's a legend and a great one at that
How about when Randy Pedersen got the worst break in PBA history? His opponent went wild
I would say that one is quite repetitive
Schlegel himself deserves his own video, he was the worst player to ever step foot into the tour. Talk about a complete lack of sportsmanship.
Then the guy was like I dont believe it he said it 20 times and ran across the bowling alley
@@dylanchapman5517 He was the embodiment of a fucking 5 year old, am I right?
Yeah, this needs more Ernie Schlegel and Marshall Holman. Schlegel beating Pedersen might be my favorite PBA moment ever. #fortheoldpeople
I love how Pete has his own category lol
Prather practices his spilits. Either that, or he needs a lottery ticket A.S.A.P.
I wanna know who put the golden horse shoe up his ass.
5:03 "BOOM SALAD BABY COME ON!"-Dave Traber's famous last words
