So enjoy your equipment reviews Mark. The thoroughness and honesty are what set you apart and I/we really appreciate that. Props to Dan as well. The two of you are like peanut butter and jelly together.......(perfect). Cannot wait for the next. Gotta love PING
Ping really does just seem to do things because it works, not just for marketing. I like the clean look of that club. I need a 3 wood not a driver, so I’ll be trying them out for sure. Lovely review boys!
I was in work last night so only got to watch this video today. This video is why Mark is so much better at reviews than other youtubers. His explanations into the tech and how it effects the club is second to none and he makes it understandable to a numpty like myself. Keep up the good work!
Working night shift on the East Coast of US, I'd be liar if I told you I wasn't disappointed that this wasn't the first review I seen. Keep up the solid work.
Respect as always. Still beating that drum regarding “strike is king”, and that when it comes to shot shaping, it really is all about the player. Glad you’re sticking at it because it’s no doubt tiresome at times and you probably feel like you’re banging your head off a brick wall. Just wish other pros and manufacturers would starting admitting this also. It’s a bitter pill for many to swallow, but facts don’t care about your feelings peoples. Admirable honesty and impartiality as always, Crossfield.
Never in doubt that it wasn't going to be a good driver it's what ping do. Love what you said about the LS tech one can't beat the last one so not bringing out another one. Honest club manufacturer. Great video brah.
Nobody tests clubs better than you and Dan super fair and comprehensive review really enjoyable. BTW was that a bit of sunshine warming you two lads congrats. And cheers from Norcal
I have a used Ping G5 driver because I can’t afford anything else and it’s perfect. Beautiful sound and performs better than any modern driver I’ve tried.
I used the G2 for over 10 years. Great club. Moved to the new Ping G a couple of years ago. Same distance when hit well but the G is much more forgiving.
If that comment about the LS Tec is legit, hats off to Ping. We need more of that in the golf industry. It's a shame they don't see much of the spotlight on tours and in shops. Great review as always guys!
I have the Ping G400 and I thought the turbulators were going to be a visual issue when I first hit it, just like Dan but....the on course results have more than made up for any visual issue. Now all I see is my ball going on line with my target....😍 my Ping driver!!
As always a great review. It’s what you guys do best. Would be good to see results of a truly blind test where the weights are moved but the user knows not where. Great stuff.
Seriously looking at Ping drivers. I’m still not convinced on moveable weights for handicap golfers. The weight marginally shifts the CG. Its always face/path and where the bottom of the swing is. The sound through the vid sounds amazing and I love the subtlety of the neck. Top notch vid as always!
I like the idea of the 3 set movable weight slots, but there has to be something to cover up the screw holes that aren't being used. I see, water, dirt and grass for days getting stuck in those screw holes.
I agree. The taylormade I have has all those holes. I’ve taken them all out as I’ve become older (not legal I’ve read). But I do have cleaning to do after rounds. As long as I don’t eat with the thing...
Love the channel fellas, arguably some of best reviews I've seen. Keep up the great work! I tested out the the G410+, Mavrik Max, TM SIM, Mizuno ST200, TS2 & TS3 at a fitting y'day. The Mavrik and G410 came wildly out om top with very similar numbers offering me a staggering 55 yards more than my old driver (a RAM I was given last year when starting out). The rest I tested really did not compare, ts2 and ts3 were disappointingly inconsitent for me forgiveness-wise. SIM good but not as much distance as the aforementioned - its look personally less desirable for me. Decision came down to looks/feel in the end. It may have been the lighting indoors but I actually preferred the matt finsish on the G410. Helped me to align better than the gloss top of the mavrik max (and the others) My natural shot shape had been a fade, however with weight in neutral position on ping I hit straight or slight draws. Beautiful to see. Also went from regular to stiff shaft increasing my club head speed from 85mph to 101mph with no loss in accuracy. More to throw at it still which i'll do as I get confident. Review content really helped me get the most out of my fitting session, so once again thanks amd kudos for a great channel. Any vids on gapping between driver and 5 iron appreciated (I use AP1 718 irons atm) Also review of phantom x12 putter..?
Great point on sound being preference for everyone for difference manufacturers. I think you learn to have a certain feel/sound of a good shot as you progress. And that company’s “sound profile” becomes what a good shot is to you. So when you hit something else, a good shot just doesn’t always inspire confidence because the sound is off. And considering how different a Titleist Driver and say a PING sound that makes total sense. Like for me... I learned with a R540xd, then R7 TP superquad, then PING Rapture and now M3. Do PING and TM feel natural and “right” but others I struggle to know what I did if I base just off sound for the most part.
Another great review. And another great club from Ping. I agree that the dragonfly is better looking after getting used to it, but this is still very good looking. Ping is a class company
I have been hitting a M6, I just happened try the G410 plus. The G410 is hotter and much more forgiving. My drives were 15-18 yards longer than the M6. I walked out of the golf shop as a proud owner of the 410 plus. My longest drive in the booth 281 yds. With consistent carry of 240-250.
I tried one out today and hit it pretty darn good. I actually think I like it better than the Taylormade M 6. The adjustment system on it is pretty smooth and works well. Seems solidly made. Very high quality construction. When Ping does something they usually do it correctly and well. This one is a winner. I will be using it tomorrow too. I just might keep this one. :) Spider Dubiel
I agree with you Mark, the G400 is a better looking club than the new G410 series. I like the dragonfly look as well. The Ping version of a "sliding" (not) weight track should be useful in fitting golfers though.
Your just so competitive Mark🤔 in the semi rough and Dan being the Gentleman he is says yes that is classed as fairway, so that’s the match all square 😂😂 very enjoyable lads.
A brilliant review guys....lots of good info in there. Sliding weight seems like a good idea; would love to try it. Like you Mark, I really like the Ping ethos. 🏌🏻♂️🏌🏻♂️
"Gets a bit TM'y." PUAHAHAA!!! Twist my face, this was some interesting side bars about golf tech in general. I like Ping drivers in general. They're not "thuddy" by any means, but works.
Sorry you'll have to take my G400 Driver from my dead cold hands!!! Not a big fan of swinging weights. Great review. However, just got fitted for the G410 Irons and WOW... There are awesome. Can't wait for your review on them.
They used to put a liquid resin or glue in the port to change sound to a more thud.... called it hot melt...I think. Also used to add a little bit of weight in the right area for different players.
great vid, just got fitted last week , collecting next Tuesday, loved it in the lab, keep up the good work, stay safe, any advice on a senior graphite shaft for utility 3 iron?
so all in all for performance and value it's Cobra F9 so far this year for me! Let's see what new mizuno bring to the game. More Dantagnan and Parthos tesing please :)
What you think Dan- is the 410 and improvement on the max? I’ve always liked the max and I’m thinking about buying one on sale now that the 410 is out :)
Solid testing and honest review without any hype about a new release of another driver on the market! I like that a lot! Question: Why should I buy that new g410 to replace my old G400 then??? Any gain through new Inventions from Ping? Will the adjustable weights save me from that sometime horrible miss to the right?!? Is it Longer, or tighter Dispersion ... Can’t see the point ping is making, as long as they make the most forgiving and playable Drivers in my eye that suit the best for my hacker swing (hcp 9.9)
Far too expensive for me, but a great open honest review... love how you tell it as it is..... G400 max will hopefully be cheaper now.... never buy anything until iv'e checked your reviews.... hence my latest irons... 716 ap2
Great work lads , as a brand Ping make great stuff ....if the golfer is good enough to use it correctly. However I do understand why they have done the moveable weight because they need to sell products like any other company although I feel they put a lot of thought into their products. Keep up the good work guys.
I literally watch a few other channels do a review on this club and can I say wow. You Mr. Parfield have the best channel by far. I feel cheated when I watch any other channel just the miss information. #makegolfgreatagain hahaha
Interesting idea, but eliminating 16g would reduce the swingweight to where I wouldn't be able to feel the head during the swing to get a consistent strike.
Weight is adjustable not sliding. I like how it goes along the far back so it is still as far back as possible for MOI. I also like how tabulators frame the ball.
As always great review boys very thorough are you going to continue reviews without giving their cost I ask because I have often test and purchase clubs based partly on your reviews with your belief positive or negative on the club and how the cost is relevant to the performance, I can get cost myself just curious bras
no point, I work in a golf store as a fitter and honestly the rails on callaway or tm are a bit useless, I don't think i have ever had someone hit it better with one of those set to a little bit draw bias, it is almost always all the way in draw/ fade, or neutral. Everything g you add to make a weighting system moves weight away from where you want it, ping made theirs as bare bones as possible because they care about making a club that performs, not a club that is marketable. Lets say they added the option the put the weight a little in the heel, and a little in the toe, 100% of golfers playing that club would see a performance decrease, not a large one but still a performance decrease. In return maybe 3% of golfers would actually be fit into having the weight in one of the new spots.
Im kind of opposite as well with the weights I still have a Mizuno JPX850 driver. I put the weight back and fade setting and hit a draw, if i put it back and draw i hit a fade. but if i put it fade setting the strike just feels better off the face to me, and less twisty at impact.
Have always wondered what type of tee you and Dan are using in the video? Love Ping as a company. Couldn't seem to hit the G400 Max but love their irons and wedges.
Great review, you and Dan are a dynamic duo. It appears Ping wanted to have a slideable weight but maybe ran into time constraints in putting this one into production. Have a feeling the 420 will have a lip and a slideable weight. If that’s not the case why put what appears to be a track ? Why not design it with 3 open slots ?
G400 max best driver of last year for me improved my driving no end. Never gamed ping driver before that. Think the 400 max still has life in it yet so will give this one a miss but another great ping stick
Puring golf shaft's marketing jargon suggests that not all shaft's are made perfectly straight and round. As a result, the potential for inconsistent strikes due to shaft twisting and bending causes inconsistent strikes. Have you tested these claims?
Just being devil's advocate, but if you point a flashlight at the wall from 1 inch away, then pull back, the focus spread of the beam widens the further back you get. This is the best analogy for MOI that I can think of. So if we take that into consideration with the moveable weights, does that mean its a bigger movement than your description at:5:00 because the "moment" is further back?. Just for conversation sake. Because I've hit this driver with the weight moved from the heel to toe and its quite difficult for me to turn over in TOE. Yes player overrides, but a significant amount of weight in the toe helps inhibit the player from overriding. But if I purchased this driver I too would leave it in the middle.
So, am I right in thinking no weight on it at all would then make it spin less due to cg being moved forwards and go faster due to being lighter making it hit longer :D Seems like Ping new what they were doing not having the weight stuck in a sliding rail :D That configuration might even beat the LS tec?
Their driver is a bit high spin for me but based on company integrity I know where my next clubs are coming from even if I don’t hit it as far. Well done Ping
Would you recommend this, I've got the ping g ls tec fitted with the tour 65 shaft. I am looking to upgrade and am not wanting to leave ping. I have the callaway rogue sub zero that I like but not as much as my ping. Is it worth upgrading this new or the g400 series worth checking out ? The money difference is noticable but is the adjustable weight worth that big a upgrade
Get the feeling that Mark should be wearing a white lab coat (w/FJ logo) when he talks about some of this stuff. 👨🏫 DEFINITELY want to test this one. Was going to look at the Cobra, but may put that off until I can hit both. Will shafts with the G400 adapter fit into this new G410 head? Seems there are a few more settings options on the hosel adapter.
The thinking man's golf club review. Lovely job chaps, have watched all the other reviews of this club but you always discuss topic's other vlogs just don't cover.
Can't wait to test this in Feb :-) Just sad about the name, G410 doesn't seem to mean anything and only sounds like a small incremental change from the previous G400.
Great in depth honest video Mark and Dan!! Keep up the good work.
PING for the win!!!
So enjoy your equipment reviews Mark. The thoroughness and honesty are what set you apart and I/we really appreciate that. Props to Dan as well. The two of you are like peanut butter and jelly together.......(perfect). Cannot wait for the next. Gotta love PING

Head professional at tourquay, fairway hit. Well done parfield.

I used the G2 for over 10 years. Great club. Moved to the new Ping G a couple of years ago. Same distance when hit well but the G is much more forgiving.
G5 & G15 still in my rotation, when I can't hit my SLDR straight.
Still use a 10* G2. Great club and I don't think a new £400+++ driver is going to suddenly turn me into a tour pro 😂
"As the head professional at Torquay Golf club, this is classed as fairway" HAHAHA!
If that comment about the LS Tec is legit, hats off to Ping. We need more of that in the golf industry. It's a shame they don't see much of the spotlight on tours and in shops. Great review as always guys!

I love my Ping G30. It does what I need it to do without sliding weight. But I will take a close look at the 410 Plus!
Another new driver that still requires a good swing...damnit
But golf companies seem to be good to the point consumers forget about that "little" detail 😂
Oh...so that’s my problem..lol.
😂😂😂😂😂👍👍
Gotta love Ping and everything they do and stand for.
I agree
As always a great review. It’s what you guys do best.

Veeg if you’re getting dirt and grass into the backside, slightly elevated part of a driver, i think you might be using it wrong hahaha.
Have u seen the bottom of most drivers out there with all their weights, rails, screws, slots, etc? Clean you clubs and it will be ok...👍
I agree. The taylormade I have has all those holes. I’ve taken them all out as I’ve become older (not legal I’ve read). But I do have cleaning to do after rounds. As long as I don’t eat with the thing...
3 years later, and I still haven't gotten the screw holes full of debris. I play maybe 3-4 times a month (sometimes more, probably more)
PING, and Mizuno, honest as the day is long. Long may it continue.
Love the channel fellas, arguably some of best reviews I've seen. Keep up the great work!

Liked your comment about your swing overriding the settings, it’s what I seem to do quite easily in club fittings, unfortunately!
I always appreciate you honestly and objective ness mark!

More of these videos with Coach!
I'd say the CG is slightly to the heel side of the geometric centre because of the hosel on the heel side adding a little extra mass on that side
Great review Mark & Dan 👍🏻
Nice review master Jedi, “I can feel the CG all around us” 👍
I agree with you Mark, the G400 is a better looking club than the new G410 series. I like the dragonfly look as well. The Ping version of a "sliding" (not) weight track should be useful in fitting golfers though.

I do like the little bit of red to black, its why I liked the nike vrs covert driver. Just not giving up my TS3 driver unless ping gives me one
Another great honest review, nice work. Get outside Dan, work can wait 😁
Hard to not like PING philosophy. Always quality offerings and smart offerings every 2 to 3 generations.
great vid, just got fitted last week , collecting next Tuesday, loved it in the lab, keep up the good work, stay safe, any advice on a senior graphite shaft for utility 3 iron?

Great in depth review. I bought a g400max from Dan and I love it.
Evening Alan 👍

The weight is fixed in three positions to make it Lockey-proof
G400 will be a legend for years just like the G10 was.
Thanks again boys for another solid review. On a completely different note (Dflat) , Mark why have you left UnderArmor and gone back to FJ ?
Can finally afford the G400 Max. I've been anxiously awaiting this release!
Far too expensive for me, but a great open honest review... love how you tell it as it is..... G400 max will hopefully be cheaper now.... never buy anything until iv'e checked your reviews.... hence my latest irons... 716 ap2
Long Long test but very good!
Great review as always guys👍👍
Quality review guys
Nice adjustment able VORTEX🤯👍🏌️♂️
Great work lads , as a brand Ping make great stuff ....if the golfer is good enough to use it correctly. However I do understand why they have done the moveable weight because they need to sell products like any other company although I feel they put a lot of thought into their products.

I like the sound
I literally watch a few other channels do a review on this club and can I say wow. You Mr. Parfield have the best channel by far. I feel cheated when I watch any other channel just the miss information. #makegolfgreatagain hahaha
Great review guys,, Thanks !
I liked the 3 different heads and I like the mat finish. I still question the turbulators, maybe 2 to frame up the ball would be nice.
Be interesting to test what dan said about leaving the weight out, maybe that will move weight forward and make it a G410lst
Interesting idea, but eliminating 16g would reduce the swingweight to where I wouldn't be able to feel the head during the swing to get a consistent strike.
Or even try 2 weights, 1 in the back 1 in the draw or fade setting, would this create the incremental setting between full draw or fade.
Are you going to do the gen2 PXG driver 🤷🏻♂️
Weight is adjustable not sliding. I like how it goes along the far back so it is still as far back as possible for MOI. I also like how tabulators frame the ball.
You can slide it if you want. 😂🙈
isn't LS Tec coming in March Mark?
Maybe maybe. 👍
the ping rep I know has told me probably around july
As always great review boys very thorough are you going to continue reviews without giving their cost I ask because I have often test and purchase clubs based partly on your reviews with your belief positive or negative on the club and how the cost is relevant to the performance, I can get cost myself just curious bras
Could’ve just added more screw holes too, avoiding the ridges for it to slide....would love to hear you speak with ping about it.
no point, I work in a golf store as a fitter and honestly the rails on callaway or tm are a bit useless, I don't think i have ever had someone hit it better with one of those set to a little bit draw bias, it is almost always all the way in draw/ fade, or neutral.
Im kind of opposite as well with the weights
I still have a Mizuno JPX850 driver. I put the weight back and fade setting and hit a draw, if i put it back and draw i hit a fade. but if i put it fade setting the strike just feels better off the face to me, and less twisty at impact.
I think you missed an opportunity here to test it without the weight...
Surely this would move CG forward and reduce spin..
Instant Ping G410 LS!
Think love the looks.
Love my G400 Max.
Looking forward to try the 410.
Love the show btw.
great video. Thx, brahs
Have always wondered what type of tee you and Dan are using in the video? Love Ping as a company. Couldn't seem to hit the G400 Max but love their irons and wedges.
For me, it’s a lot nicer looking now that dragonfly has been hidden. Wonder what would happen without the weight in at all🤔. Great review.
Great review gents
Great review, you and Dan are a dynamic duo. It appears Ping wanted to have a slideable weight but maybe ran into time constraints in putting this one into production. Have a feeling the 420 will have a lip and a slideable weight. If that’s not the case why put what appears to be a track ? Why not design it with 3 open slots ?
Been waiting for Ping to bring out an adjustable hybrid. Waiting for your review on it before I buy bruh. Is that coming soon?
G400 max best driver of last year for me improved my driving no end. Never gamed ping driver before that. Think the 400 max still has life in it yet so will give this one a miss but another great ping stick
you hit the rake, that is comedy gold
Hey mark, can you stuff this one with cotton balls to mute it a bit like the g400s?
Drivers are just looks and feels these days, sticking with my ping g, my fave looks and feel and doubt it will change
Helpful review on Ping's 2019 driver. How about a discussion on shaft "puring?" Is "puring" your club's shaft worth it?
No it’s not
Puring golf shaft's marketing jargon suggests that not all shaft's are made perfectly straight and round. As a result, the potential for inconsistent strikes due to shaft twisting and bending causes inconsistent strikes. Have you tested these claims?
Every single time I have been fitted I will eventually adjust and overwrite the settings. Maybe this is an issue with feel vs mechanical players?
Hi mark what shaft did you have in the ping driver ?👍
Mark when will you reviews the Wilson Staff D7 range?
I won’t I am sure
Lovely boys... any word on a replacement for the G400 Max? I'm not about to change; just wondering :)
Yes player overrides, but a significant amount of weight in the toe helps inhibit the player from overriding. But if I purchased this driver I too would leave it in the middle.
Love Ping for the same reasons. Waiting for LST to hit the used market 😁
Did you get it?
So, am I right in thinking no weight on it at all would then make it spin less due to cg being moved forwards and go faster due to being lighter making it hit longer :D Seems like Ping new what they were doing not having the weight stuck in a sliding rail :D That configuration might even beat the LS tec?
Test the Wilson Cortex please!
Love me some Ping. Do miss the dragonfly tho.
I actually think inverting the dragon fly made it look better.
Mark I notice ya not wearing under armour brah, but footjoy instead and would you swap ya Titleist for the new Ping driver?
DEFINITELY want to test this one.
I like that info on the LS tech! cant' beat it, don't make a new one!
...I wish that was my Hi-Toe! (sorry MC, could not resist the play on words)
Can't wait to test this in Feb :-) Just sad about the name, G410 doesn't seem to mean anything and only sounds like a small incremental change from the previous G400.
