Disclosure: I do the editing for Mark's podcast. But one reason I wanted to join the team is that Mark has been producing almost exactly this same review when a new driver comes out for about the last 10 years. That's not a slam: if you're buying a major OEM driver, you're getting a good product, one that *might* be incrementally better than the previous year's model, and one that is likely to be within a standard deviation of all the other major OEMs' drivers. It's not to say that there isn't a better or even a best driver *for you*-go get fitted! It is to say that, if you're watching a review on RUclips of a new driver release and the reviewer is either touting it as utterly revolutionary or trashing it as garbage, it's more likely than not a ploy for attention than it is a review. Good review, Mark. I share your admiration for PING no-nonsense approach to this game.
Hi Mark, top vid as usual. I wanted to also add….much kudos to you for showing the SFT version (I’m a 7 hcp and it’s what I play). Most of your competitor channels don’t do this…and it comes across as being a bit “golf snob” like…so well done you. Ping drivers are a mile ahead of the rest btw.
Bought the 430 10 K last year, will not change it. It really helped me to find more fairways. Well my last driver(s) was from 2008. Mizuno MX 700. Have two of them. Also fantastic drivers. Very forgiving and underrated.
As always, great content, Parfield! I think the question on whether it’s worth the price or not is hard to answer. Yes, it’s quite a chunk of change- especially if you get fit or a different shaft! But the cost is what so many of the manufacturers are doing, so apparently it’s worth it to them because people are buying. I think the used club market is a spectacular way to go to clubs. On this driver, I think for paying it makes sense to kind of stay relative to where they’ve been at with the driver, because they’re so good. I’d still tell people to buy the G425 because it’s such a great driver. I just tell him it’s loud, but they can get over it. I think that when the G425 came out and all the other brands were saying that it was pretty much the unicorn driver-meaning, it ticketed all the boxes a driver can-that spoke volumes for how good Ping had made their drivers! I don’t think I’d want them to stray too far from that myself Thanks Mark! Now go beat up Lou a little bit 😝
Hi Mark, Great review as usual. These PING drivers' looks remind me of either the G30 or the G drivers. I still have a 2016 PING G LST and it still performs. One thing about PING you know what you are going to get.
Lovely looking club.... but as a prudent buyer, this push toward carbon crowns is a huge turn off. Carbon is *not durable* compared to titanium. I won't be buying anything this season. If it's not a full titanium build, I'm not interested.
Great review as usual. The bottom of the club is definitely an improvement. The top… Well, if you like a club that looks like someone drove over it with a tractor and left a tread mark on the top. I guess it’s OK. But in the last 7 years, you’ve reviewed a lot of drivers with Similar or even better results. Now those drivers can be bought for a whole lot less. This driver in Canada is $1000 taxes in, no thanks. Don’t need a driver, but if I did, I would buy a previous generation driver 2 to 7 years old for a fraction of the price and save the money to play the game.
I still have a G in the bag with similar colors that performs beautifully. Hasn't changed my interest in the new Cleveland Hi-Bore as a future option. Need to try the latter at $399--maybe wait for a deal. Price of these new drivers, and just not Pings, is getting scary. Shouldn't AI make things easier and therefore cheaper? My G just looks good and finds fairway with roll out--blue Alta shaft from the what's AI days. Thanks for letting me watch you swing their new ones--again. ;>)
I’m a scratch golfer, Cleveland hi bore is both something I would normally look at but loved the shape so bought one to try it. It is now in the bag, spin rates are mid 2000’s, distance is great and I’m finding so many more fairways than the LS models I normally play. Shame none of these creators give the lower cost drivers as much time as the big expensive brands, I guess most golfers buy because of name not performance which is crazy.
The turbulators are cool they set themselves apart so they don't look like a cookie cutter driver like everyone else on the market. Pair that up with an incredibly well-built hitting driver and you got a fairway finder.
We all should be hitting 350 yard drives no matter your swing speed anymore from all these Manufacturers ....LOL \ I have watched where the G400 is still outperforming , all of PINGS latest drivers! If I was wanting a new driver I would look for a Ping G400 on Ebay in the specs i wanted !!!
Ping make great clubs but never liked the turbulators and never change much except the colour and price. Will wait for the new Wilson’s in February which should be £100 cheaper.
I'm still using G410 max, and I cannot find a reason to change it, that's the problem with ping the older gear is just to good, I won't change it until I break it, their clubs especially drivers are just so easy to use, I'd probably only gain a few yards so to shell out nearly 600quid is just not worth it
@@MarkCrossfield seems like the exact same clubs as previous years with a new colour way. I actually have a ping driver fit for tomorrow and not very excited about it.
575 quid wow , sorry too much money shame they haven’t ditched the busy looking turbulators just look crap to me. It does seem as if they’ve fixed the hideous sound of previous models.
I buy used or the old model when they mark them down. Way too much to spend on new drivers and at this point I think it is more marketing than innovation.
Shocking price for a club. The golfer always gets hurt in the pocket. Beautiful club but it’s becoming a joke now for clubs. I can’t afford anything over 300 . Sad .
The 10k was only released 6 months ago, if they released the 10k 440 now people who bought the 430 wouldn’t be happy either. It was a no win. It will be released in the middle of the year each year form now on unless they choose to miss a cycle
@samuelknott5586 At the least, Ping should be up front about if/when 440 10k max is scheduled. Makes you very cynical about whole MOI thing, esp as 440 max has less MOI than 430 max.

👍👍
i love the colour scheme, a throwback to the original ping g

6:25 we all know you’re talking about Taylormade there 😂😂 LOVE IT!!
Yep another superb driver from Ping, they just do fantastic drivers. I have the 430 10k and it's so forgiving.
I just got one myself my goodness I wish I hadn't waited best driver most accurate I've ever owned
@@Ducebogies Very pleased you are enjoying your new driver hope it helps get your handicap down this year mate.

The price of drivers these days are just crazy. Well...I have 2 years to think about whether to get this Ping G440.
Just get an older model. They're pretty much all the same, aside from acoustics. I had a G30 for many many years.

Great for those looking for a new driver upgrade. The G430 had similar positive (rave) reviews from the RUclips influences when it was released.
I have G430 LST, been great for me
You seemed to draw the Max easily. I hit them at a fitting event and loved it. I'm buying one.
G430 10 k really helped me…you had same numbers as the 440… 🎉 so reliable
The 440 max is the ping core model, not the 10k, the 440 10k is coming later in the year.
Yeah, not enough change in comparison to the 400,430, great review Mark.
Great review
Well done for hitting the SFT. Other reviewers don't.
Great video! What’s your current driver and would you ever switch? I’ll go to try these out tomorrow and I’ll try not to buy the LST!

Still have 400 max. Hits great. But I may need to have a yew test swings.
Nice camera angle at the 2 min mark.

Difficult to improve on perfection! Not cheap but it's a great product. Is the shaft adapter the same on the G440 as the G430?
Yes. Same adapter since the g400.
@@samuelknott5586 No, they changed it but a 430 adapter will still fit in the 440 head and vice versa.

Mark when is ZXi driver review?? Impatiently waiting 😊
Today 3pm
@ that’s the stuff Mark. I’m hearing big things from the Srixon this year.
@ the speeds will shock you
Will the previous adapters work with this free hosel design? The adapters since the 410 were able to work with the 425 and 430 drivers.
I have the G425 driver
Is it your mic set up or does it seem like Ping has calmed down the sound a little bit?
Ping make great clubs but never liked the turbulators and never change much except the colour and price. Will wait for the new Wilson’s in February which should be £100 cheaper.
Played a430 and traded it for a Qi10, more distance with the taylormade

The obvious thing missing from all of them is any ability for fitters to adjust weight front to back
They look so much like the 2016 Ping G driver to me
Clubs have gotten too expensive over the last seven or eight years
I’m still rocking the g400 max and these look very much like a g400🤔
I game the 425. Not sure any of these new generation are worth me parting with 500 plus of my own money for. Maybe the 10k but I haven’t tried it.
G10 vibes
Still using the Ping G400 Max. From my point of view it would be hard to beat that head. Definitely not worth the upgrade at this point.
Is it really any better than my Ping G30? Really?
Straight 'FLIGHT" Technology
Haha yes.
@@MarkCrossfield you always say straight fit 😂😂 quite funny!
@ for me I will keep saying it because straight “flight” is just silly.
It’s Fit for me. 😉😂👍👍
@@MarkCrossfield seems like the exact same clubs as previous years with a new colour way. I actually have a ping driver fit for tomorrow and not very excited about it.
What you need to know is the 430s are half the price.
Why just not wait till 10k max in a year like last time really poor by ping not releasing all at the same time
It’s hard enough paying your green fees, and trying to pick up the new equipment, it’s just far too expensive.😢
575 quid wow , sorry too much money shame they haven’t ditched the busy looking turbulators just look crap to me. It does seem as if they’ve fixed the hideous sound of previous models.
Ridiculous price when you can buy a set of irons for the same price price as one club

Shocking price for a club. The golfer always gets hurt in the pocket. Beautiful club but it’s becoming a joke now for clubs. I can’t afford anything over 300 . Sad .
Pricing is ridiculous BTW. I would never spend that kind of money on a new driver. I would prefer to buy an ex demo for half the price.
I think they’re too expensive. It’s not a Ping thing it’s an industry thing.
$860 🇨🇦not in my bag
Great review thanks Mark. Just wondering if you'll ne testing the new Srixon drivers in the near future?
10 year old driver just as good or bad depending on how you look at it.
That crown looks cheap, 430 looks better.
Same old same old with a new pretty face. Same performance as previous gens
And the 440 10k max is ....... Gone AWOL. Another annoying lack of sync in release.

Will there be a 10K model later in the year!🏌🏼🏌🏻♂️
Yes. July/august
