Thanks for another great video Martin. As for the truck. I think Slumberland. Although, come to think of it, that might be better suited to a flat bed truck! 🤣😂
Smashing way to kick off the new year, Martin. The DB5 is such a beauty. I once needed 3 castings in various states of disrepair and another set of doors on top of those to complete one model. Satisfying in the end though. You can be proud of this one. BTW, Golden Shred for me, if the voting's still open. 🍁☕👍
Cheers Andrew, you can quite quickly amass a few of the same casting to get what you need for one . Thanks for stopping by my friend all the best Martin
Lovely job Martin, nice detailing, bit of a fiddle this one, you got there though with great patience, I’d not come across this model before, another one to add to the list lol, beautiful restoration 👌👍😊 All the best, Nick🐸🐸
Cheers nick it's a nice casting but thay tend to have the door cards missing but you could recreate your own.there is also a hard top version. All the best Martin
Glad to see you made it into the Year 2024. Nice job on the little model. Take the little wife for a spin. As for one of the trucks, which ever one do will come out on the top, along with the others after you finish them all.😊
Very nicely done Martin you must have the patience of the gods,... it really did put up a fight towards the end there,.. any how a very nice resto for the New Year,.. thank you.... My pick for the resto truck would have to be Slumberland as I do like to have a sleep in 🤣but I do like you colour combination restos so my pick is the Yellow and Red truck ....👍👍
That turned out fantastic, Martin. Those door cards are missing from my model. I'll have to MacGyver something, when I get to restore it. All the best in The New Year! Oh ya, do the Golden Shred first.
Want to hear a big coincidence? When I started watching your video, it started raining up by me as I heard the rain falling on your shed! Anyway, you did a terrific job cleaning up that Aston Martin….. It looks showroom new!
A weetabix lorry would be good . What a great colour paint . Fantastic job. Your video has taught me something . I have a few of examples of the model and I thought that the engine was diecast metal
that's a fine looking British classic there Martin came out a treat, once had to drive a real one over an inspection pit on my todd never been so nervous , happy new year to you 👍👍👍
Great job pal quick tip for anybody doing a model with lots of parts and no instructions take lots of photos when dismantling works wonders for re assembly golden shred mate
That was a fiddly little fart, but you got it done and looking great! I vote for the Everready, because my Dad drove trucks delivering batteries and other electronics. Wishing you the best and cheers!😄❤👍🚗🚚
Very nice indeed......starting the year in style! 👌🏻👍🏻👏🏻 I remember mine being fiddly to get back together. As for the truck; I'm not fussed which you do, it'll look classy, whatever. I like marmalade though, so my vote is for Golden Shred ( even though the decals probably can't be like the originals 😏) Do you know the difference between jam and marmalade, by the way? 🤭
Thanks very much my friend, now I don't no the difference between the 2 thay are both made from fruit. I do have the full decal for the golden shred, it was partly covered not sure about the rules on that . All the best Martin
Hi mate Happy new year. Really nice job and a very nice and expensive car in real life superb. I think those pointy dome lights on the back are used on a lot of British cars MG, Triumph even Land Rovers. Nice metallic red paint work and good work salvaging those door cards. Lyons swiss roll please I just love my dark blue.😀 Catch you on the next one mate.👍🏻
Great video Martin. Don't know if you're aware or not but the earlier trucks had ridged hubs and the later ones supertoy hubs. Also the casting either of the location which holds the baseplate at the front was different on the early ones.
Ahhh Slumberland gets my vote...maybe because I just need a good night's sleep! Wow, all the parts and pieces this one had...you have a lot of patience and a good touch! Being a "Bull in a china shop" I would have snapped several pieces and probably slammed it on the table! Ha Ha. Great restoration per your usual.
Hi Martin that's no1 done and your away, i hope you've had your Weetabix and charged your batteries as its time for a Swiss roll with your brew. All the best from Ian b & the girls, Golden shred for us.
It's called a DB5 Volante!Imo,Dinky's casting is a whole lot better than Corgi's,which was eventually made into the Bond 007 car(totally wrong.as that was a 5,not a 4,which Corgi's casting is).I have one, with the black interior and it's boxed, valued at £150 in 2023 prices! It was very time consuming, but worth the effort in the end.On the lorry subject, any, although i would like to see the Spratt's done!I'm awkward,as you said you didn't have the decals yet.
I always wince when I see Charlie grockers Aston gets tossed over the side in the Italian job or the E types crushed 😮or when Lorna in her sexy boots climbs out of his car without opening the doors goes up to her flat and he’s with 4 birds 😂😂😂😂classic Great resto mate Mark 😊😊
Another great restro Martin, the Eveready is my choice 👍, 2024 did not start out good for me Martin, I lost my mother on the 2nd ,I will get back to form once I get straightened up, take care my friend. 👋😢
I also offer my usual praise, but you did ask people to let you know which truck to start with, so I wanted to make sure to do that first! As always, your work is exemplary, my friend! @@martindaredare

Now I need to pull my finger out and get on with mine. Super build bud 👍 and thanks again for the bumpers, really appreciated 👌
Thanks Mike, it's not a bad one to do it's just the doors to be careful of.
Great job Martin, as usual. Happy new year 2024. As for the choice, it is quite difficult but I'go for the Weetabix. Hope you'll do all of them !
