    Ok, enough is enough. We would really rather have these reporters be safe than forcing them to be out in ridiculous weather conditions! You could have remote cameras and have them voice overlay. It’s also hypocritical to insist people leave the area yet have your own staff stuck there.

      Then nobody would watch. Also, perspective is everything. They want to see the real feel in these storms. The reporters want to go. They get hazard pay and top spot.

      @IMGreg.. 12 часов назад +31

      You may be missing what drives some reporters.
      It's the same drive storm chasers have.
      Some reporters look forward to going into the field in wars, storms, and riots.
      It gives them a thrill not necessarily to be there in the moment but as a legacy to talk about in the furniture.
      Do you think Aderson Cooper was forced to go?
      Not a chance. They probably had to catch up with him at the airport on his way down there to say yes, you can go.
      Just to say you were there is why they go.
      Remember live video reporting from Baghdad during the first Gulf War.
      That made careers. It made legends.

    Irresponsible. I know you’re supposed to report the news but you have to understand that when people see you standing out there in the hurricane they think it’s something safe to do. I know you’re going to say you take precautions and you set yourself up so that you’re away from the wind and elevated in high positions and such, but people regular people who just watch the news they don’t know the precautions you take so that you can film live during a hurricane. You give the impression to them that it’s OK to stand out there to stay during a hurricane and nothing too bad will happen. I don’t think you guys should be filmingduring a hurricane, if you truly want to emphasize to people, you should not be here right now.
