Hurricane Milton kills 4 and leaves 3 million without power as storm's trail of destruction revealed

- Hurricane Milton crashed into Florida last night - battering the state with destructive 120mph winds and flooding.
The "catastrophic" storm has already claimed at least four lives as it brought misery to an area still ravaged by Hurricane Helene.
Devastating flash flooding is causing chaos in the Tampa Bay area, with up to 16 inches of rainfall.
More than three million homes and businesses have been left without power.
And at least 125 homes have been destroyed after Tampa Mayor Jane Castor's grim warning houses would be turned into "coffins".
Four deaths have been confirmed by local officials in St Lucie County, with multiple others rushed to hospital after the hurricane spawned at least 19 powerful tornadoes.
Milton has sparked 126 tornado warnings in Florida - the most ever in a single day.

My roofs made of slate not paper, and guess what? It’s still there and will be for years. I thought they said everybody who stayed was gonna be killed by this bit of a storm.
I cannot understand why the stadium has a canvas roof in a hurricane prone region, I also cannot get my head around the fact that in many states, timber frame houses are built, knowing they are hurricane and tornado hot spots. Its INSANE.

I lived on Oahu Hawaii for years. In 1991 i experienced Hurricane Iniki. Gnarly brah. I saw an 8 footer 2×4 stuck halfway through a telephone pole. 40-60 foot waves breaking outside the boat harbor breakwall where i had worked. Wild man the force it also lifted my little Honda cvcc car into the right lane as i was trying to go home.

We should be celebrating that it calmed down from the initial category 5, not use it as some weird ass "u wrong".
