    We were there this past December. Absolutely loved it. Our stock FJ handled everything without a problem. Can't wait to go back and travel further north of the 395.

      Awesome! So many more trails off 395. I've been going for years and still have much more to explore!!

    Great video! Been through AHs in a rental car and our truck camper, but unfortunately, we did not have our Jeep with us that trip. Need to get back there with the Jeep. And I definitely need to check out that mine!!

      Thanks! Yes.. you'll have a lot of fun exploring in your jeep. If you haven't hiked the Mobius Arch, you'll want to add that to your list too!

    I would have gotten in my truck!! Tilt the seat back and had a heavy wool blanket hoodie wrapped around me. Turn on the truck heater when needed... Next time the diesel heater outlet vent would also be remodeled to fit in the passenger window as my ACE IN THE HOLE...

    Perhaps a sturdier tent in the future.

    • @badroadindustries3250
      @badroadindustries3250  Год назад +1

      Tent was plenty sturdy. One of the guys forgot to put the strut supports in which caused the shell to move with the wind. The other two tents held up great!

    one of the first videos i've seen with those brand trailers. we have one of the earlier models before they switched to tribe name. (used to be tuff stuff) we live right at the top of those snow covered tehachapi mountains. is the stove still the weak link or have you upgraded it?

    • @badroadindustries3250
      @badroadindustries3250  Год назад

      You live in a great place for overlanding! We bought 4 of the trailers and are planning on setting them up to lead adventures and offer them to rent out to other overlanders. Yes! The stove is the weak link and we are planning on upgrading them. Aside from that, we love the trailers!

    And not one set of chains anywhere ?

    • @badroadindustries3250
      @badroadindustries3250  Год назад +1

      Ha ha... I had a set of chains for my jeep and the sprinter. We were having too much fun. Saving them for a bale out if we needed them.

    What type of trailers were those?

    my jeep doesn't even get 16mpg with just me in it and 315s,

    • @badroadindustries3250
      @badroadindustries3250  Год назад

      I know.. I've owned jeeps nearly all my adult life and never saw better than 15 mpg. This new JL has a 4cyl turbo and averages 20 city and hwy.... and that's with stock 35's and 4:56 gears.

    Volume goes up and down between pieces of same scene, very hard to watch.

    why didn't you air down your tires?

    • @badroadindustries3250
      @badroadindustries3250  Год назад

      Excellent point! I've tried that in the past and found that to work in some situations. I found that firm A/T's work best in this kind of snow as they pack in the snow in the tread and give good grip and have a better chance to dig down to the hard surface below. We were also equipped with chains if needed and would have tried airing down but honestly were having too much fun with the winches and straps.

    And that’s why I own a sprinter van!😂.

      Excellent choice of vehicle! My 4x4 sprinter is eight years old and with 150K carefree miles. It's been extremely reliable and proven to be a rugged overland vehicle.
