Ok this is really good. I’d be worried about those blades coming off since it’s only being held onto the motor shaft with glue, or the wood breaking if you accidentally catch it on something hard but the build is super simple and looks pretty effective. Nice work and thanks for sharing. I am going to replicate my own version.
This might be the most unsafe thing I've ever seen in my life. Jesus. Segmented blades? No shroud!? Glue!? Hose clamps on slit PVC!? Please, viewers, if you build this, be careful.
Lets be real though anyone who makes these to actually use is a moron. You wouldn't make it 5 feet before you cut through your own wires. But i still think it's an awesome project.
A great idea, please allow me to add a suggestion. The shaft of the motors support the weight of the unit. They will fail quickly. I suggest you support the wheel in a separate axle and then gear or belt the motor to the wheel shaft . Great work.
@Astra Racing Also this is NOT radio-controlled... and the current design is the one we're talking about, not other possible designs. Disabled/elderly people who have trouble walking would not be helped by this... unless their lawn is only a 3 foot by 3 foot square, and they used their wheelchair/crutches etc to get them close to it. LOL. Maybe you did not watch the whole video?
Thanks for the inspiration! I'll recycle some card boards, card boxes, and use white glue to make an extreme light weight grass cutter similar to this. I want that by dragging it sliding along the lawn and it will collect those cut grasses in the box.
Hi Navin, I really loved this video. I think you were extra creative with the piping but there was (as far as I can tell) real originality and innovation in lots of places including the wiring. Thanks for sharing!!
Many safety ponderables but fact is a great idea : There is no clean battery powered remote RC controlled/ towable lawn mower for smaller enterprise on the market Everything is petrol engine. Well done

Mr. NK am really happy with the project but to make it more attractive can it be self-driven coz all am looking at with is the trouble one takes to tap the battons and standing over it otherwise its very excellent
Very good project to do in our home, cheap materials and something very practical. The only adaptation that could be made is to cover the blades a little for better protection. but in general this is very good.
Great invention! I think I would use a weed Wacker wire to cut the grass so I don't have to worry about razor blades lacerating people and pets when they inevitability break off
Add some clear plexiglass covers on all 4 sides and you have a shield to protect from kick ups and accidental blade loss. I don't know how but I would imagine you could use a rasberry pi or an arduino board to make this truly remote controlled. Include some way of raising and lowering the blade height.
love those old silent movies.. ugh! How do you expect it to stay together with no glue? Glued blades to motor OMG! LOL!!! Back in the 50's when wired remotes were a thing, I loved my "remote" controlled car... For about 15 minutes. What a character!
I recommend a few things that might make it easier “1 instead of using battery use 2 6s lipo’s” “2 use a esc with those batteries” “3 use receiver and transmitter so you can get wireless long range” “4 use servo’s”
we are making this machine for our project but troubling in this project that motor cannot take load please tell me what i do right now .... please help me and reply of my comment ....

Dude, this is amazing! Great job. I was looking to do something similar and you just broke it down to the simplest possible terms. Thank you!

@TheTrblesm I was thinking the exact same thing lol. Snap blades? Wow!
I imagined how one of the blades comes off and cuts the leg. Or removes someone's scalp :)
Imagine if the computer or phone you typed that comment on blew up on your hands…. What a stupid comment you make ….
From where you got the tyres
How did this mower turn out? How well does it cut the grass? Is it running every week?

"Remote controlled lawnmower." As he builds a death contraption wich has poorly soldered wires running all over the lawn.
The thing I love about D.I.Y. Projects is that no one will ever actually need them, for instance this.

Оболдеть ,вот это золотые руки!!!
I like it when u actually used the tools u make.
What is that attached to motor mouth at 2:23 can you please tell
From where u brought those wheels for the motor. Am in need of this kind of RC brush cutter
This guy really like PVC pipes.
Nice video clearly showing all the parts. Adding a cover around the blades would improve its safety
Thanks for the inspiration!

Really, really nice, bro. But why the repost?
looks dangerous.. but not sure why.. jk its the snap blades that have NO GUARD please don't use this
Agreed, but in the next design iteration i hope this guard can be incorporated
The title of this video should be "A FATALITY WAITING TO HAPPEN IN YOUR THE YARD."
What motors did you use.
Sir can u plz tell me were you get those tyre..... Plz
Making a weed trimmer from a wheeled suitcase would be useful, because suitcases are easily available and cheap. Hope you try that in the future.

Tether control is not really remote control, you may as well have a set of handles and push it.
It is remote controlled. do you remember the old remote control cars that had the wires attached. He never said radio controlled.

Remote Control is tethered, Radio Controlled is radio control which is no wires. It literally says "radio" in its name it's not tethered.

bro no offense but if one of those blades hits a rock that could take out one of your eyes just use different blades

Use cable instead

sir can u give the specifications for this lawn mover for making it in my home?
Can you give the equipment links for buying??
FYI this is a great idea, the only tweak should be the spinning disc with the exacto blades that can spin backwards if it hits contact.

Could prob just use bigger motors and regular push mower blade 🤔 You hit one rock and them segmented blades gonna be in someone’s neck
Are these snap blades? At high speed?
Blades that are ment to break under high pressure spinning very fast?
Smart!
How much money do you on spend this gadget

How many mm pvc pipe is used?

Sería tan amable de decir dónde consiguió esos motores ?
Very good video!

How much?
Why are you using side shaft
Better you use transmeter to make it wireless
Can you broadly explain how much equipment you used and how much power they contain
