As a current Baruch student myself, I can understand where you're coming from. Long-term planning, while beneficial for some, can indeed lead to significant anxiety for many students. I've witnessed firsthand how this pressure to commit to a specific major can result in choosing a path that isn't truly fulfilling. Take it day by day and see what works for you. I also want to point it is tough to find friends not because of people not being open-minded but from stress, having full-time jobs & workload from classes. I agree with going to clubs in Baruch, they are the easiest way to create connections and find a friend. And hopefully this semester, WE GET PAPER TOWELS!!!!! Great video btw brother!
Hay how r u? I want to do my bachelor in Baruch College but i don’t know one thing, does it require sat exam point? Is it a must? How hard is it to get admitted?
@@AdamPerryyI'm a student transferring to Baruch from Kingsborough with a 2.6 GPA majoring in English. I was 😲 when I got accepted into Baruch and now I'm gonna be serious when doing classwork. I've never experienced Kips Bay/ Gramercy Park before, but now I'm gonna be this fall. As for making friends, I'll be taking that day by day. My name is Jean and I'm now part of Baruch college.

bro this the realest and honest direct college video i’ve come across, everybody in this video made me felt a sense of community 😭 truly relatable and open minded - something i’ve been surfing
@areebshaukat5840 hey ain't nothing wrong with going to a cuny school. It's smart since you save money and you can get a quality education. In fact, my aunt who was valedictorian of her hs and had a 4.0 gpa and a 1590 sat decided to attend brooklyn college just so she can make it easier for her parents financially.
Hey ! I'm a french student , is it a good idea to go into a Master in Finance at Baruch, if i want to become an investment banker for exemple etc ? Schools in france especially for masters are not really beneficial either so im trying for a US uni or business school .
strating with 3.8 for first semester, than 3.7 something, 3.6 for the last one, now I am in the middle of sophomore holding like 3.719 something, dont know why we need that much liberal art for bussiness, cause all the b I got is eng, theater, BLS, Science( I got A in lab but B- in lecture, I am just not good with those text and our Professor is teaching in very oral way, the department should make the lab class and lecture class the same professor) Haven’t take any 3000 level yet, kind of scare on what gpa I would end with senior year, I am seeking for a 3.5, overall… it’s nice, I meet some good Professor I feel like lifetime friend(even thought friend around you might hate them for harsh grading) , some just not good at teaching, some good at teaching but just think differently from you, like you just know you guys are not on the same frequency. My recommend to my self 3 or 4 year ago in high school,is to take the fxxking college now, take all those AP, and fufill those low level course, at least some of them, and get advance on choosing class.
As a Baruch graduate from many years ago, I say that college education and experience really suck. Location saves Baruch. Also, many students hustle like crazy for 4 years. Then, thanks to hustling and location, they get decent jobs and people say that Baruch is great. I don’t regret going to Baruch but if I could afford it I’d go somewhere else.
@@oneofakind9995 Many years ago when price difference between private and public wasn’t as huge as it is now. There are many Baruch alumni on WS. You’ll be in Manhattan. That’s why the location saves Baruch. If you find them yourself, you may be able to get a p/t job or an internship during school year. It’s a big advantage if you don’t care about enjoying living on campus experience. Baruch will try to help but don’t expect much. A private school will do the search for you. Can you do it yourself? Absolutely but keep in mind the effort you’ll have to put in when comparing values and prices. So, if there is big financial aid, I’d pick a private school. Of course, I wouldn’t pay for NYU. Price difference is too big to be worth it.
Which one do you think is better? Stevens Institute of Technology or Baruch? I got accepted to ms in business analytics at Baruch and I’m waiting for Stevens MBA

Probably tried really hard in high school and didn't want to try as hard in college. Not the smartest move, but certainly understandable.

Is it a good college for someone from abroad?
Yes it is
80, 90, 95 GPA?? Wtf is this ? When I went to school, it’s something like 4.0, which is the highest GPA anyone can get
Out of 100. My high school was like that. The whole 4.0 scale was only a thing in college.
Awesome!
