A lot of people dreams of a lavish lifestyle of fortune and easy living. I would love to just be able to do stuff like this for a living instead of being miserable every time I leave for work
I didn't know you were a saxophone player! I came to the channel for the motorcycle material. I'm one of the rate ones that plays Fretted string, brass and woodwind instruments. I have to say, there's not much that is more fun than playing Herbie Hancock's Chameleon on either Bass Trombone or Bari Sax. It's straight up exhilarating!
Sir !! I LOVE your vids. ;). Cannot wait to see - or hear back about more saxophone works . . . I am trying to re-create an ol' YORK BARI . . . .with nothing more too work with than the bare body . . . ., no neck & yet I want / need to get it playable , circa 1925 Thanks for the inspiration !!!!!
Seeing it work trying to remove the dent I could build a polisher like the cars for cahpisteria I do not know if you explain me well Thank you and cheers you are very ingenious
Good to see you working on a proper sized saxophone. I was impressed to hear you playing the alto after restoration. Are you familiar with the Skatalites from Jamaica? IMHO everyone should play sax in a ska band.
If it had fell near the neck it would have a dent near there, maybe it was a small amount of force slowly pushing it causing stress in the metal causing it to bend to relieve stress? Maybe something else.
Also im not talking about a small dent its like a 30 to 50 pound thing if all that weight dropped at one spot it would pretty much snap the neck area in half and total it.
Your straightening jig is as inventive as it is impressive - well done.
That face at 1:30 reminds me of a friend who had a trombone gig with his jazz band after a night out and about drinking and celebrating. :D
but it was jazz so it was ok he couldn't hit the notes :D
Wow, that baritone saxophone with non-separating neck :)
Ferrees tools makes a straightener just like yours, but metal

You're one cool dude.. Keep up the good work/videos!
Great job and video. Does anyone know what a king like this should sell for in the before condition?

Let's try this one more time without the repeated intro. :)

What you think about using jewelry silver cleaner. Ive use to have silver cleaner a while back many years ago. Love your video man
I've used it which you'll see in the next installment. It works fine.
Interesante 🛠⚒️⛏️🔨🔧🗜🎼🎷⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️
Nice work thanks ! Could you be more specific about the bath step ? What is the bath's composition and why doing that ? Thanks :)
Just some cleaner to help loosen up crud.

Aw, I wondered what happened to Dr. Sax! Such a shame.
Hello, Are modern and vintage saxophone pads same sizes ? and have pads for buy every vintage saxophones ?
Wouldn't soldering a T post at the dent location and using a slide hammer have been easier?
Might have. I've been thinking about trying that in the future.
