Nral of the Templar, by your actions you have severed yourself from the mercy of your brethren. You refused to destroy the Soviet worlds as was commanded. You have questioned time and time again, the sacred will of the Conclave. And you have abandoned your Homeworld in its darkest hour. Most grievous of all is that you have allied yourself with the blasphemous Red Ones, and learned to utilize their profane powers in tandem with our own! What say you, oh fallen Templar?
'I represent what is greatest in us all. What could you possibly know about Judicator Aldaris, dark one?' This is the way of true Judicator. What a gigachad.
Aldaris VA is so good even his AI form outclasses everyone else. And this mission finally makes sense instead of being a tragicomedy of errors and misunderstandings.
Well, they had to insert at least one obligatory mirror match mission in every campaign. :P Also Kerrigan was stuck in the middle of Protoss army on Shakuras, why they didn't execute her for interfering is completely beyond me.
@@agiar2000 only the greatest actor could manage to make a stubborn dogmatist like Aldaris who constantly make dumb decisions sound so epic and awesome. He is the antagonist players love to hate while deeply respecting his personal vibe.
I figured he was just with Raszagal on Shakuras, so after a while he realized she was acting fishy and proceeded to investigate her. What the evidence for his accusation was, I guess we don't know, but keep in mind that Aldaris in some ways is sort of a Protoss Inquisitor. He and whoever else survived from the Judicator caste probably have a lot of experience investigating suspicious Protoss.
Maybe he was following Raszagal and Kerrigan, 007 style by sneaking around and eavesdropped on their communication. Or he extracted it from Raszagal's mind. I don't think he had any hard evidence like tape with recording, though. He just knew straight away that whatever Kerrigan proposed, it wasn't worth it.
I think he showed the biggest character development in the series, going from a type of bigoted inquisitor focusing more on stamping out heresies instead of paying attention to the bigger picture, to someone, who is willing sacrifice anything, including his own reputation to do what is right. This makes him mirror the choices of Tassadar who is also called betrayer for trying to save their race from Zerg. Unlike Tassadar however, he doesn't succeed. Dark Archons do reference him in SC2 as "betrayer, betrayed". Despite everything he had his heart in the right place and knew that trusting Zerg was bullshit, SC2 writing will never convince me otherwise lol.

I'm digging this alternate Aldaris. Instead of simply acknowledging his noble sacrifice, he seeks to follow in Tassadar's footsteps by doing whatever it takes to protect his people, even if it costs him everything. Also that RA2 briefing is a surprisingly nice plothole-filler. Now, we take care of Traitor Kerrigan!
Zerg? Is this some kind of a joke? If you've got ants in your pants call an exterminator, I'm on vacation! - duke (Carville), to a (nameless soldier) jim raynor over the phone
I was surprised to see that aldaris's forces actually are quite helpful when i played this mission, it was fun. PD: a funny thing that happened that time was that the base on the right was always under siege so it had fw troops, by the time i was eliminating the last enemy forces i saw that while the right base was in a decent form, the left one was not only in perfect condition but it had like 40 archons that were just standing there doing nothing
This POV made me realize how depressive was inside Conclave's lines while we were fighting desperate along side Zeratul, they weren't passing great times as it seems.
It's probably just me being obsessive, but it bugs me a little to see the orange Protoss depicted as being part of Zeratul's forces here. The Auriga Tribe has always been loyal to the Conclave!
Aldaris: Sends evidence to recruit the Executor. Also Aldaris: Doesn't send it to Zeratul and Artanis. Me: I think Aldaris just likes killing his fellow Protoss.
UED campain is getting closer and closer, and these first few missions will go really badly for them. However there is one mission, one that UED would be better off if it failed. The one you kill Stukov in.

There's already another mission where you played as Aladris and his Khalia followers open revolt against Fleet of Matriarch. It's called, "Revolt in Shakuras" Available in Moddb.
