Fun Fact not in this video: You don't have to confront the Zerg base at all. If you rebuild the power generators (Science Facilities) to reactivate the PSI Disruptor, it just straight up disables the Zerg broods and you can walk in and take the PSI emitter from the SCV that is now defenseless (excluding the various terran bunkers). You can also try to snipe the PSI Emitter SCV as it moves around the map. When the hero units spawn, it has to move to the location of where they originated for them to unburrow (spawn) new ones. It is vulnerable during this time but will attempt to flee if it enemies are in the location so scan sweepers can be useful.
Where did she study tactics? That hunter killer suicide at start hurts my eyes. Kerrigan also has cheats on, there's no way there's this much hero zerg units on the map
@@Remitonov Had the Psi Disrupter not been destroyed, but instead reclaimed by the Dominion, they could have made a Psi Destroyer that reached several hundred light years instead of just an entire section of Augustgrad
ZERG! The very mention of this terrifying race once brought fear to all who heard it. But now we can all rest easy as our own forces now occupy their very home world of Char. Months have passed since our initial confrontation with the Zerg and now Directorate forces have taken control of the planet Char, long since rumored to cradle the malevolent Overmind of the Zerg. Once on the offensive, our highly-trained Directorate forces were more than a match for the beast-like Zerg. Even their fiercest warrior breed could not defeat the greatest military technology in the galaxy. The rebel groups and so called 'Queen of Blades' tried to perform terrorist attacks on the planet Braxis, but they were completely decimated by the brave UED forces. Psi Disrupter is operating to ensure the continued safety of the United Earth Directorate and of all Mankind!

I expected the mission to end right after psi emitter is dropped down, because Cerebrate would use all his drones. :P Looks like he (it?) studied tactics.
What I find odd is that the Zerg use Dark Swarm on top of *your* units, which in the case of attacking Zerglings and Ultras I can understand, but in lack of their presence, the enemy Defilers may still use DS on your troops, effectively giving you cover from their Hydras, Mutas and Guardians.
I like to think that the UED, with the complete control of the Zerg thanks to the Psi Emitter, would have been a great thing for every one, for example: -Creating an alliance with Jim's, Artanis' and Mengsk's forces. -Deafiting Kerrigan and all her Cerebrates. -Executing Mengsk. -Tracking and exectuing Duran. -Joining forces with every one to defeat Amon. -Achieving peace. But ofc one can dream.
@@LamborghiniDiabloSVPursuit Perhaps a clever mapmaker could have you start in the final base and with increasingly dwindling forces you fight the other two Zerg to hit Kerrigan's starting Hive as she's trying to secure them the standard way.
I always felt SO unfair in the original BroodWar Campaign about this mission. Like, as the UED officer first I had a mission to retrieve PD from among 4 zerg swarms, then I had a mission to stop it from self-explosion due to overheat, being hurried by countdown timer. Finally I had the hardest last mission to capture the Overmind itself at Char, all might of the UED forces vs all might of the zergs... The Overmind was enslaved, and with him - all the zergs of that world, now these creatures won't be a danger to humanity as before, but will obey all our commands. The greatest victory. And what then? Just mission #2, and in 5 minutes a small group of dropships casually flyes to generators and drops the marines, cancelling all the great work I did to surpress zergs... Really? So easy?? No planet defence? No scout? No extra generators? 5 minutes to cancel it all with a little group of marines?
the UED captain spent a whole campaign learning tactics from General Edmund Duke "Nukem", and now he's placed his foot on a collision course with Kerrigan's ass.
I played this mission and funny enough, there’s an even easier way to beat it. First, the medic wall. Have them in the ramp and hold position. Make other medics to heal with the forces you start with Next, all you need to do is make the generator. In the briefing, they mentioned that Kerrigan can control since the power generator is down. If you were to put it back online, however, she’ll lose control of the Zerg again. So, all that leaves are the Raider’s and Mengks’ forces, but that is easy now XD
3:45 You just had a cargo ship full of whoop-ass brought down upon you; and I'm guessing your recon squads are reporting that it's being reincarnated and coming back for more, right?
Daggoth will spin when he knows a Hunter Killer is killed by 2 firebats
...and how everything else was wasted trying to climb up a heavily fortified ramp.
...to be honest, it was already weakened and it still got one of them
This is the beginning of the UED Captain's redemption arc!
i give most of the fault to Dugalle to be honest
more like they executed the previous one for screwing so much, and gave command to a new one.
Of course, his prior failures likely led to his demotion several times, so he’s now, like, a Sergeant or something.
Of course, in this time line, Stukov never dies, so he will continue in UED and gives support with his tactics

The power generators are so powerful they generate their own surface, even overmind is unable to do that.
