- Why did I sell my Ducati Scrambler to buy an Electric Chinese Bike?
I sold my 2016 Ducati Scrambler Sixty2 for $4,800 which was $200 more than I paid for it a year ago. I bough a new Sur Ron X Black Edition which with tax and shipping was about $4,800.
In this video I tell you why.

Real honest video, no kidding... Cheers to the new almost silent bike!
Electric vehicles are the future and ironically the past. Street cars in New Orleans have always been electric since the early days; one of Dr. Porsche’s original designs was an electric car driven by two motors on each of the front wheels. The new Teslas are very very fast with a very quick acceleration. The technological challenge that has been there for some time is the batteries and their effect in the environment, production wise and then the disposition after their useful life is over. Electric is the future but there are still these challenges to overcome.
That's pretty cool.
At first, I thought it sounded kind of expensive, but after I thought about it, not really.
Neat!
Thanks for taking us along, and Woof to Walter.
Good choice!
Great video 👍🏾 I have both a Scrambler Desert Sled & Sur Ron but I would never consider seller my Scrambler.
I am surprised. Really haven’t seen one in action. Very impressive. 👍🏻🇺🇸
That's nothing, her climbing ability's are extraordinary
Thta's a real motorcycle ;-) most fun I ever had on 2 wheels
These electric bikes are very cool! - I am thinking about getting one - or maybe an electric motor for my regular bicycle. My concern is safety; many do not have brake lights or turn signals, yet they can go very fast and it is tempting to use them on a highway, like a motorcycle . So, I commend you for using yours in bike lanes and off-road, and I assume you are wearing a helmet!
I bought my Sur Ron from Luna like three years ago or more. i still have a big hang up about riding it in public view. I got to get over that! Where is your favorite trail ? I am in Long Beach.
That’s awesome and now jealous
I love the freedom you guys in the states have.
Where I live, when new tech arrives, the politicians are climbing over each other to make new laws to restrict.
Bikes like the Suron for instance, can only be ridden on private property or MX parks.
Haaa that is awesome men 😲👍🏻
I wish we could ride this where I live
Be safe, now no one can hear you and they never see you.
Badass!
This makes me feel better about mine... would they let you register it to be road "legal"? They wouldn't let me do it in maui 2 years ago but hopefully things change I been seeing a lot more of these on the road. A lot of dirtbike trails in the mountains here though so that's been worth it.
Some people in CA have successfully registered them, but I don’t think it’s necessary. No one seems to mind me riding it everywhere. Just don’t be a jerk and you’re probably fine. At least that’s the way it is where I live.
@@Jerod_Helt I think I just got scared when they wouldn't let me register it and told me I couldn't ride it on the road. But I see a lot more now. Youre right just gotta test the system I guess... thank you 🤙🏽
This is funny. Motorcycle is actually what the Sur Ron is. Why? Electric MOTOR. where is the known motorcycle has no motor. It has an engine. Miss named. Lol fake motor cycle which is actually the real motorcycle. Not combustion two wheeled vehicle. Yes. I am LAUGHING. good vid though.
25 miles ?
maybe when you are going 45mph constant yeah but you can get 60miles you just gotta go 15miles an hour or 37 Miles when going 28mph
👍👍✌️
💯 P r o m o s m!!
