- 2022 BMW X3 M40i LCI G01 I retrofitted the OEM BMW M double rib gloss black kidney grille. It makes a drastic difference against the Alpine white paint and fits the mirror caps now.

Great video! Seems simple enough. Kind of strange what BMW did with the LCI grill colors. Used to be the 30i had chrome, M40i had Cerium Gray but now it's switched. I just traded in my 2020 M40i for a 2023 X3M a few weeks ago. I got the non-comp so it also has the chrome. I don't love the chrome but don't hate it either. TBH, I preferred the Cerium on my M40i. Literally everyone swaps to black so it's kind of nice to be different. But good to know in case I ever do feel like changing the grill.

8:25 how did you just remove the center part with the camera hole? I don’t want to replace or take off my grill. That center piece got damaged
You have ti take off the grill to get access to the clips on the back. It’s pretty easy but without taking it off it would be pretty challenging!

I think you will have to turn on the car. Leave the vehicle and come back inside and it'll work

Just plug and play. No coding needed or adjustments.
Skip to 3:45 to get to the action. This 12 minute video should have been maybe 3 minutes long. 1. Pop the clips on top of the grill. 2. remove the camera from it's clips and install it on the new grill. 3. line up the new grill with the clips and push it on. Three minute video, maximum.
