I got some great news today, after a 11 month wait on my order, I've been allocated a VIN number and my new X3 M40I will enter the production line on the 12th March at the factory in South Carolina, with delivery to myself in England, UK estimated, to be 18th May (Only a 13 month wait from ordering!). My car is white like yours, with black grill already fitted and 21 inch wheels, red brake callipers, as that is standard with the package I've ordered here in UK. Interior we have gone with blue M sport stitching on black leather. Only 3 options not fitted, Laser lights (No use in UK with twisty roads!), tow hook and the M Sport Seats (From RUclips reviews, everyone seems to complain about the comfort on long journeys with M Sport Seats) which I've selected to stay with the sport seats that comes as standard. Can't wait, but till then, as you are keeping my impatience in-check, with great contents. Keep-up the great RUclips work, stay safe. Thanks, Pete

And Congrats it’s an excellent sporty luxury SUV and you’ve got a really nice spec too, as far as seats mine is the standard sport seats they are surprisingly comfortable I’ve done 10 hours straight driving and they didn’t bother me one bit. Lasers are a bit useless even tho we don’t get that here in the states

Thanks for this video! I didn't know it was that simple. I have a 2020 M40i but never replaced the grille since I liked the cerium gray. But today I ordered a X3M non-comp to replace it. Will be doing this to replace the chrome grille that comes on the non-comp.
Well, I just also replaced the grille of my ix3 to this one. Honest feedback. I've seen a number of videos where they pretend this one to be easy and simple. It's not hard but not easy either. The top clips are easy to loosen. Then you need to remove the camera module from the old grille. Then try to take out the grille but it's not that easy. You have to wiggle the grille quite a bit up and down, left and right back and front for the clips to hopefully come loose. Just like in another video, I also broke one of the clips but that's not the end of the world. So I broke 1 clip and had to remove it using a flat screwdriver. Installing the new grill only takes 15" to replace the camera module. 30" to align the clips and push/click it back in. Hope this one helps.
@@believ1 Definitely! DIY pains of course. Broken clips, rusted bolts etc. Things don't always go as planned. But yeah good point. My X3M will have the park assist as well so will need to deal with that front camera when swapping the grille.

Tried removing the girl on my 24 x3. Was able to remove the top part but the bottom did not come out. Tried many time and had to push back the oringal. Any trick to remove the bottom part?
great video! have you considered switching the exhaust pipe tip to black as well? it is also part of the extended Shadowline package that BMW doesn't offer for the 30i model.

Thanks for the great tip. So easy. I just took shipment on the x3 msport in alpine white w/ red interior. AWD with Dynamic handling package. Love how it rides and the interior. My one concern is whether the lines of the car look as good, sleek, and defined in Alpine as they do in the metallic colors, like Brooklyn grey. Am I being too critical? What are your thoughts?
I definitely think the lines pop quite a lot more vs my metallic white on my previous car it’s actually so good on the x3 that I don’t miss the lil flicks of sparkles in the paint! Mine is alpine white too and I love it
That's awesome. Yes, I'm always a what-if guy about the car color I didn't choose. If I'd gotten grey, I'd be thinking white! I washed mine yesterday for the first time and damn did it look good in the sun. The new grill will pop even more against the Alpine. Thank you for your thoughts, sir.

It’s really great on gas! I cruise 75-80 on a full tank and got 500 miles from it at 34.7 miles per gallon. Around town my daily work commute I get 24-27 and 400-430 miles full tank
@@randomhobbyist99 for daily drive go for it! It has a good low down torque feel so it never feels slouchy to me so it’s the perfect daily driver, if you want a big of fun and half the gas mileage try the M40i
@@RAMONEAuto Thanks! Yea it’ll be purely my daily/family hauler. My dealership has a new x3 xdrive30i m sport white/black coming in that’s only 49k so I figured it’ll be a good one to jump on. I was thinking of going m40i but I have a M3 Competition Xdrive order showing up at the end of the month as well. Pretty overhauling my whole line up and taking advantage of the appreciation of my current cars.

the center piece of the grill for the camera is interchangeable so even if you got the one without, just swap the piece from your OEM grill onto it and you'll be good
It’s the same exact way except there’s 4 little clips that hold the camera in place, use a small flathead and gently pry it apart so the camera pops out then fit it back into the same 4 clips on the new grill
@RAMONEAuto Is it possible to replace the tetris looking retangular center piece on the grill with one with the camera hole if I want to hook a wire through it for a front camera without replacing this entire grill?
Yes the center camera piece is a separate attachment on the inside of the grill it’s can be removed by popping out a few clips on the inside to swap with the piece to fit a camera
No the bottom aren’t really clips it’s like a groove they slide into once the top comes out the bottoms juts slide out since it doesn’t have a locking clip like the top ones

For the 2022 model year BMW decided to give M Sport lines some of the same body kits as actual M spec cars, that means if your grill as an M badge from the factory, it would have the M side mirrors as well like an M3/M4. I have a 2022 X3 myself with an M Sport package with extended shadow line trim. I wouldn't go out of my way to make it look like something that it's not. But hey, it's your car so it's your decisions.

I’m gonna powder coat them soon being that it’s a lease I’m not so jumpy on too much cosmetic mods but I’ll do them when I get the brakes painted

There’s no clips in the bottom! It’s just grooves that click into place once you remove the top clips the bottom slides right oit
