The air deflectors are designed to deflect the flow of air flow away from the undercarriage of the trailer and the trailer tandems to lessen the effect of DRAG on the equipment thereby increasing ( somewhat) fuel mileage . They are NOT meant to keep other vehicles or pedestrians from getting under a trailer . AND.. they're made of fiberglass and some type of composite material . I hope that clears it up for the poster 🤷.... juuust a thought...
They might keep a cyclist from being able to ride under the wagon , or a pedestrian from being able to simply pass under the wagon but that would only apply if the trailer weren't moving , but I assure you , THAT isn't what they are there for
