I started my online marketing journey/career back in late 2016, focusing on SEO, then moved into Social in late 2017...
Remember what those days were like?
Haha.
Anyway, in 2018 my girlfriend at the time, had a 7-year-old kid that was diagnosed with freaking brain cancer, (he's okay now) and as you can surely imagine, that threw me WAY off course with my career, or any other aspect of my life, for that matter. My marketing career came to a swift halt.
In the very beginning of 2020 I was finally able to get back to business, and as you know, the digital marketing realm so rapidly transforms.
Even daily, right?
I specialize in social for the travel verticle, and at the time had one client.
A restaurant owner.
Well, Covid happened and shut EVERYTHING down, so my DM career was once again completely shaken to the core. I am JUST NOW, within the last few months or so, once again, getting back to business.
Is all of this starting to add up?
Can you imagine how uninformed I have been over the course of these last few years? Everything that I have missed?

I clicked on your video because the background says Best CRM for Freelancers.
However, I was shocked to find its only available for 5 users + (ie a small business).
Each licence is very expensive, so I couldn't consider it any further.
Freelancers need a single user option which is affordable.
Thank you for your video, very helpful and well done! I do have a question. After the client fills out questionnaire HB creates an inquiry. You then send them the email template to book discovery call. HB seems to create an additional inquiry for the same client. Do you also get this and if so do you have a workaround so that I am not getting double/multiple inquiries in my projects tab. Thanks again!

Have you figured any way to collect gratuities AFTER the services are completed? I know it can be done with the proposals and/or invoice templates. In my line of work clients typically won't tip until the service is complete. I have been trying to figure out a workaround with no success. THANKS
Can you set up multiple calendars for different freelancers so a client can click on the freelance dedicated page and book directly through their assigned calendar?

I think sending e-mail/messages from our honeybook portal is super easy and makes a lot of sense, but do you feel like it adds in some friction/confusion on the client's end?
I did a test of this process where I attempted to be my own client from my inbox and I found the entire process a little difficult to navigate.
I have a lot of corporate clients and I feel like they won't have any idea what a honeybook portal is or why I'm sending them out of their inbox to some totally separate interface. Would love to know your thoughts on this!

I’m confused about how to get the client to e-sign a contract. I used one of the available contract templates and tweaked it to be my own but I’m not sure what part of it is considered the clients e signature snd figuring out the proper way to send it to them etc

Does HoneyBook also offer a contact form to be used on your website? How does your client info get stored or input into the system?
Yes, with HB you can create multiple contact forms and using those forms you can put them into a workflow. (ie: wedding client, portrait client, etc)

Hello! Ive been using HB for a few years and I have to know HOW did you get that cute little sparkle into your signature? I feel like that is a big downfall of HB signature section, its so generic. THANKS!!

Is there a way to get around the 3% credit card payment from clients? If you have a $1,500 a month client it takes $45, which I feel like adds up with every client. Suggestions?
Most any payment processor will take a percentage, including alternatives like PayPal, Wave, etc. It is a standard cost of doing business, so I’d just raise your rates to account for these fees. A good accountant should be able to help you out with writing them off too.
Push clients to pay by cash, cheque, or eTransfer. Then in HB you can mark it as paid by cash or cheque.
does anyone know of an alternative for UK businesses?
