That is terrible about the affiliate income that shut down. I worry about that as well with affiliate income. I am going to focus a lot on my own digital products for now and have the goal of getting into mediavine too. I will do affiliate income but I don't want to rely on it. But I get it, nothing is guaranteed and income will fluctuate. Congrats on a great year even with some of the dips.
Thanks so much. Yes, I had no idea they shut down the affiliate until I looked the other day! Oh well, I have to move on. That's great you're going to focus on digital products and getting into Mediavine! Great goals for 2024!

You did well based on what Google's been doing to those who completely rely on SEO. Sad about the closed affiliate program, but as you said, that's the way to grow/pivot.

Just one question - do you have further analysis about affiliate marketing income or even a rough idea as to which content type/platform contributes the most to your affiliate income? Is it your RUclips channels or your blogs?
I'm asking this because I've been planning on affiliate marketing and have already started my blog. However, I'm shy/uncomfortable with video content, so it's difficult for me to get on RUclips. I'd highly appreciate your response on this! TIA. 🙏
Most of the income from affiliate marketing come from Share a Sale products! For RUclips, make sure to list your affiliate products in the description for each video. This helps. And if possible add them to your emails or the reviews you created to your weekly newsletters!

Thanks! My service based blog made money within a few months ($1k). I do freelance writing for SaaS companies. I then did coaching and once I didn't have time I decided to convert what I was telling them into a course. That generated me income. I later started Twins Mommy I detail my income journey for the first 10 or so months there: twinsmommy.com/successful-blogger-plan/
I have not made any money. This year I have started working on my blog,even my aim is to earn through affiliate income, I have questions such as how we can use ads on all the blog and youtube video? How to do planning for my blog post and videos as well(I being a solopreneur I always have short of time and proper planning as I am doing all housework and taking care of kid and my paralyzed mom). But since from last money I want to earn for my mom and my survival. I am searching for how to do planning, I can make 2-3 hours for my blog and youtube everyday. I am thinking of planning blog posts and videos. I am getting confused whether I should first concentrate on affiliate products or write normal blog posts, should post on blog or do youtube video. If you can guide please do. And even I want to earn my selling amazon products and other blogging products including yours. You are one of my favorites. Hi Smita, thanks for the questions. I am compiling questions for a future Q/A so I'll add them there. But for the Google adsense, I don't do those. I think you can apply early but not sure? Google Adsense isn't worth it in my opinion and would rather wait for Ezoic or She Media and even Mediavine.

Even I want to create didgital products such as planner or printables and sell on amazon or etsy. I am not getting time for it. I think first I should concentrate on affiliate product promotion of other bloggers or blogs.

Have you checked your consolidated Amazon affiliate earnings? You've probably made 10-30% more than they don't report in the regular dashboard for international sales.
I did consolidate all my blogs for that yearly total. Is there another way to do that?
