Now that I've investigated the Film Never Die kickstarter I can quite understand your anger. It says 'we discovered a gap in the market for a simple-to-use, quality, affordable point-and-shoot film camera' (note the word affordable there, we'll come back to that...). So is there really a gap in the market? A quick check on Analogue wonderland and I found 12 different disposable cameras on there. But the FND camera is reusable! Well, there are 18 different reusable cameras on the same website. There are a few versions of the Ektar camera, for example, and different bundles as well but, as far as I can tell, there are 18 different types. More than happy to be corrected on this.
So, what about price? Well, the most expensive camera on it's own is the Lomo Diana Mini with flash at £90. And what about this new camera? Oh that's just $359 AUS or....£186. So I could get two Diana Minis and still have six quid left. Explain to me how this is affordable when the average is about £60? Because I just can't see it.

Brother you didn’t miss anything not reviewing the new Pentax camera. It’s a ridiculous novelty unit which doesn’t teach the user anything truly associated with the art of film photography. The question is why did they bother.

Just came back from a dream holiday to Japan. I love street photography and it was amazing. However, I couldn't agree more about tourists being rude. Kyoto was the worst. Blocking people and tutting at you for walking through your trash tiktok video.....walking up to geisha and taking photos without permission....it was unreal.

I agree it seems to me that it is a shame that in the past 10 years or so we've lost the consensus and working processes about how film can be used professionally to produce results like no other, it seems now it is seen as a gimmick by photo companies and consumers rather than something actually viable and useful as a working medium

On the widelux 120 model there is also a Noblex 120 available, they say there is even a prototype of a 5x4 inch Noblex in existence.

Both your F6 and FM3a aren’t working? That’s the reason I refuse to buy either. Expensive cameras but no guarantee of service longevity. As you once said in an older Kai video they’re expensive bricks.

Well, i mean both of them are beat to hell and back. The F6 got dropped hard and the Fm3a didn’t like the cold in Hokkaido.

@@japancamerahunter Pentax dropped the ball not offering you the opportunity to critique their new film camera. What is Pentax hiding? I was hoping they were going to offer a FM3a like camera body. Intro film cameras teach little and are quickly upgraded to more sophisticated camera bodies. Are they truly worth the investment.
