I agree that it shouldn't have a sequel. Perhaps we can 'pretend it never existed', but I think that defeats the point - if a story doesn't need continuing, don't continue it. Pixar has made too many unnecessary sequels/prequels in recent years and they only do it for easy money. I much prefer it when writers have the guts to leave something alone after it's done.
I remember watching this with my grandma, she'd tell my brothers and I that the intro to this movie was very similar to what happened between her and my grandpa. Only, he passed away instead of her. Now that she's gone I can't help but think of her everytime I see this movie or hear this song. Even her name was mentioned in the film. (Phyllis)

Up has to be one of the most underrated Pixar films. It is humorous and exciting, but it also has heart. The story has an important message for the audience: Life moves on, life is what you make of it, and you can make a difference in the lives of others, regardless of age. The young can learn from the old, and the old can learn from the young. While letting go of the past is difficult, you will always have the memories to hold on to. In difficult times, it is up to you whether you will give in, or stay strong and optimistic, both for yourself and for others.

The first 15 minutes are straight up THE best out of any pixar movie, but after that it sort of turns into a really good childrens movie. For me at least, the Incredibles ist the best pixar movie (even though Wall•E is my favourite)

I love this song so much. It starts out so lively and bouncy and through it it matures but never loses the childish bounce and fun, just like Carl and Ellie. They may have gotten older but the fun and love of their relationship never went away. I never comment but this song is just so amazing.

I was walking home with my crush, when he gave me his headphones and said he's gonna play good music. The headphones were too big for my head. I'm a smol lil bean. So I was holding them the whole time. Then he played this song and it made me gasp since I love it so much. After a while, I took off the headphones and we both talked about how much we liked this movie and how many times we cried during it. Another good memory saved deep in my heart thanks to this song :')

Fun Fact: Prior to the release of Up, there was a girl suffering from (I believe it was) Cancer that got so bad, she couldn't open her eyes. She wanted nothing more than to watch Up, so Pixar brought it to her a few days before it was released so she could watch. Well, so her mother could watch and tell her what was going on on screen. I'm going to let you imagine how heart wrenching that must have been for the mom and the girl, cause the girl died that afternoon.

I just can't put words to describe this movie. I'd just be doing the movie a disservice. You have all the right to crucify me for this, however, it must be stated- I believe that this movie is the best thing that has ever came out of Pixar. Humans are amazing We have so much capacity in our hands, its true we aren't the strongest, the fastest, but we were born with the ability of "Improve, Adapt, Overcome" and that is a thing which stays above any animal, Gorilla, Cheetah or Shark. Many people died to attain what we have today and im thankful i was born in the same generation as all of you guys. We may not know eachother, but as humans beings. _We are all brothers._
My grandpa looked just like Carl. He passed away last year. He was never the same after he lost grandma to cancer. He lost his motivation and will to do anything after she was gone. He was an illustrator and used to draw and paint all the time but never picked up his pen or brush again after her death. He was in relative good health too and I wager he could have lived far longer if grandma had still been around. I'll always treasure the portaits he made for me and my sister every year.
I was in second grade when this movie came out and I cried in theaters in 3-D. This movie made people cry in the first five minutes of the film. It is still my favourite movie. I will never forget that.
That's the magic of Pixar. Who would've thought it would be possible to leave everyone in the cinema in tears with a just 5 minute sequence. At the very beginning of a movie. Without no spoken dialogue whatsoever.

That's the beauty of animation like Pixar. Even though they're a collection of pixels, they feel more real and life like than any live action actor could ever dream of conveying. People today, especially in America, really underestimate what the medium of animation is capable of, and the many untouched possibilities it posses.
I'll never be able to play Borderlands or Halo 3,Reach, and 4 with my Xbox360 buds. They're gone, lost in the memories of my childhood. Nothing will ever come close to staying up hours on end trying to beat the weekly challenges for your credits. or farming Claw for pearlescent weapons. Asking each-other to wait up to grab a snack and drink, use the bathroom or to eat dinner. I'll never forget Borderlands 2 releasing, and going all out during the first couple days. We all kept growing with time and kept to our assumed responsibilities of daily life. Until we never started seeing the notification for when we would go online or play a game. We would never see voice or text messages on XBL talking about what happened throughout our play sessions. We would never be able to say anything again. I should've cherished those moments more than my younger self would be able to actually understand. We were kids, we never thought about those things. I miss you fine people. I sincerely hope life is going on better for you all than it is for myself. You've contributed much to my growth and handling negative examples in real life. You literally taught me was bullying was when I described what was happening to me over voice chat. The times spent with you will never be forgotten. Always kept inside of my heart. Stay strong everyone, and never forget those you shared memories with. When I'm older I'll probably tear up looking back on my childhood thinking where my greatest friends of all are at.

The music brings out the best of emotions out of the movie. I cry whenever I watch it. I think it explores the feeling of loss very deeply. One of the best moments is where the kid gets his badge in the end. When you're watching it with your parents, it gets more special. There re no words to describe the feeling you get after watching it. Wall - E is another movie that did this to me.

This song.... As a child i had a very close relationship with my grandmother because my home life was so bad. We always saw each other on christmas and other holidays times i will never forget. We went to see this movie together when i came out. It was one of the last things we did together. I remember seeing the first seen and being scared that my grandmother would leave me like that. She told me she wouldn't. Two months later as i was off on a family trip we got a message that she had passed because a doctor gave her the wrong medication. This song means everything to me and those i am in q much better situation now i will never forget the time i spent with her. She was my hero with a heart of gold.

You have all the right to crucify me for this, however, it must be stated- I believe that this movie is the best thing that has ever came out of Pixar. My grandpa looked just like Carl. He passed away last year. He was never the same after he lost grandma to cancer. He lost his motivation and will to do anything after she was gone. He was an illustrator and used to draw and paint all the time but never picked up his pen or brush again after her death. He was in relative good health too and I wager he could have lived far longer if grandma had still been around. I'll always treasure the portaits he made for me and my sister every year.

I was in second grade when this movie came out and I cried in theaters in 3-D. This movie made people cry in the first five minutes of the film. It is still my favourite movie. I will never forget that.

That's the beauty of animation like Pixar. Even though they're a collection of pixels, they feel more real and life like than any live action actor could ever dream of conveying. People today, especially in America, really underestimate what the medium of animation is capable of, and the many untouched possibilities it posses.

Nothing will ever come close to staying up hours on end trying to beat the weekly challenges for your credits. or farming Claw for pearlescent weapons. Asking each-other to wait up to grab a snack and drink, use the bathroom or to eat dinner. I'll never forget Borderlands 2 releasing, and going all out during the first couple days. We all kept growing with time and kept to our assumed responsibilities of daily life. Until we never started seeing the notification for when we would go online or play a game. We would never see voice or text messages on XBL talking about what happened throughout our play sessions. We would never be able to say anything again. I should've cherished those moments more than my younger self would be able to actually understand. We were kids, we never thought about those things.

The music brings out the best of emotions out of the movie. I cry whenever I watch it. I think it explores the feeling of loss very deeply. One of the best moments is where the kid gets his badge in the end. When you're watching it with your parents, it gets more special. There re no words to describe the feeling you get after watching it.

As a child i had a very close relationship with my grandmother because my home life was so bad. We always saw each other on christmas and other holidays times i will never forget.
We went to see this movie together when i came out. It was one of the last things we did together. I remember seeing the first seen and being scared that my grandmother would leave me like that. She told me she wouldn't.
Two months later as i was off on a family trip we got a message that she had passed because a doctor gave her the wrong medication.
