A relationship could look really good on social media but in reality be a very toxic one. A relationship that is too public might not be a good idea as the objective should never be about showing off your partner (although you can do this sometimes). It should be to fulfill the needs of your partner and be what your partner needs. Your partner is not the expensive things they buy you or their looks. They are the things they do to keep you safe and the acts of kindness that are small but mean so much. They are so much more than materialistic things you see on Instagram.

My sister and best friend played a huge role in it too, but I mostly understood that maybe we weren’t mean to be together. I couldn’t date anyone for these 3 long years and hardened my heart. 6 months ago, I met a very nice guy and we ended up dating after 3 months… but despite our nice moments, we broke up 2 days ago because even though we became important persons in each other lives, we understood that would be better off as friends (or just acquaintances) and wouldn’t hurt each other (for different reasons). I believe we all deserve someone who can love us in the sweetest way we can imagine and that we will be able to give this love back if we feel and see that it’s the right person for us. But it can mean to have to let go, even if you don’t want to, of someone very valuable at the moment. I’m an introvert too but relationships can be nice when the other person respects your boundaries and is happy to give you space. My partner had to learn that I didn’t hate him because I wanted alone time. I just really enjoy alone time. But I think he gets it now lol. Been 4.5 years ^_^
As a fellow introvert, I feel that way sometimes as well. Eventually I realized it was just a natural reaction to a fictional relationship/wanting what I can't have. Having actually tried relationships, I realize that it will just make me miserable. Even a seemingly perfect committed relationship would eventually drive me insane, due to the commitment itself. We walk alone because it's the least crappy option, no point in chasing something that is unsustainable for us.

But I guess here's some questions to ask yourself: 1. Does she respect you? 2. Do you respect her? 2. Do you feel comfortable with her? 3. Does she feel comfortable with you? 4. One of my favorite things in the world is casual intimacy, a small hand on your back when you're in crowded streets, a gentle kick from when they're sitting across the table, a head on your shoulder, a hand in your hand, a squeeze on your hand when they are walking past you and I think maybe love isn't made up of grand gestures or explosive displays but that it's made up of little things, the little things that say I'm here & I care for you and that your life has intertwined so deeply into mine that there's no need to think, because casual intimacy comes easy 💕

This video came up at my recommendations a few hours after I had a fight with my boyfriend and told him I want a break. The reason? He doesn't express his feelings the way I expect him to. I wanted to hear from him, I expect him to express with big actions. But I cried non stop the 16 minutes this simple and beautiful video about what love really is and how it is in the small things has. This video hit me hard because that is literally how our relationship is, in every single frame I could see us. His way of expressing love is by all the small things on the daily life and I was so wrong for not seeing that. Thank you author for this beautiful art. I need to apologize to my boyfriend now.

I put him on his limit and I lost the love of my life. Everyone outside could see how much we love each other, that was in the way we looked at each other, it was a really beautiful love, but he can't do it anymore and I lost my whole world, my happiness... I've been crying non stop since then and I'm destroying my life because he was the best person I've ever met. This is so painful.... I'm sorry for saying all this stuff to you :(

3 years ago I broke up with someone I loved for 4 years, we really loved each other but we arrived to a point where we couldn’t understand each other anymore and he became selfish and hurtful. So I decided to end our relationship. It completely destroyed me but I eventually felt better through time. Time can heal. My sister and best friend played a huge role in it too, but I mostly understood that maybe we weren’t mean to be together.
I couldn’t date anyone for these 3 long years and hardened my heart. 6 months ago, I met a very nice guy and we ended up dating after 3 months… but despite our nice moments, we broke up 2 days ago because even though we became important persons in each other lives, we understood that would be better off as friends (or just acquaintances) and wouldn’t hurt each other (for different reasons).
I believe we all deserve someone who can love us in the sweetest way we can imagine and that we will be able to give this love back if we feel and see that it’s the right person for us. But it can mean to have to let go, even if you don’t want to, of someone very valuable at the moment. Sometimes we need to learn some things to be able to appreciate sth as good as this or even better…
Idk if it helps you and it’s probably not the words you want to hear/read right now. But I promise that if it’s meant to be, it will. And if it’s not, then something even more beautiful will happen to you both (sorry if it hurts you, it wasn’t my intention…) in the future. Trust in you and your abilities to find happiness.

I’m an introvert too but relationships can be nice when the other person respects your boundaries and is happy to give you space. My partner had to learn that I didn’t hate him because I wanted alone time. I just really enjoy alone time. But I think he gets it now lol. Been 4.5 years ^_^

As a fellow introvert, I feel that way sometimes as well. Eventually I realized it was just a natural reaction to a fictional relationship/wanting what I can't have. Having actually tried relationships, I realize that it will just make me miserable. Even a seemingly perfect committed relationship would eventually drive me insane, due to the commitment itself. We walk alone because it's the least crappy option, no point in chasing something that is unsustainable for us.

We’re not too far away, and her best friend said we’re the same age, but when I was checking her profile on the app I use, I found out she created a lovemaking group a few months ago, prior to us starting the relationship. However, when she was single, she posted some info about her, including how she’s 16. I’m 13, and I’m not sure what to do. My friends have told me that she could just be lying about her age and she’s actually my age, and my best friend, who’s 14 and is dating a 16 year old, said that it’s fine even if she is 16. To further prove her age, when I first saw a picture of her, I thought she was 16. I love her very much and today’s her 16th birthday. I promised her that I would never break up with her, and that if we broke up, it wouldn’t be because of me. What should I do? 1. Does she respect you?
2. Do you respect her?
2. Do you feel comfortable with her?

4. Is she ok with the age difference?
5. Are you ok with it?
