At first I felt similarly about this episode, but as the season goes on it becomes much clearer how it ties into the greater themes at play. “It’s just a story” is a key line. This season is definitely a little out there, but it’s also definitely my favorite. I can see why some people rank it low in comparison to other seasons, but in my opinion 3 has the most interesting themes, aesthetic and build-up.
I disliked this episode when I first watched it but it definitely had ties to the feeling of she feels about herself, world, and changes her outlook on people. It reminded me of Marg in the Fargo movie when she meets her old friend that lies to her which motivates her to go back at Jerry
@@TheJazzper1970 there’s not much ever created better than season 1-2, but 3like 4 had its fantastic moments. Season 5 also had its highs and lows i guess. It’s how I felt about LEGION season 2 when I first watched it but it grew on me with every rewatch, it’s just that season 1 and 3 were soo good! We definitely got soiled with some good tv
This entire episode is actually foreshadowing, but most don’t pick up on it until you watch it again - what happened to Thaddeus is what VM Varga is currently doing to Emmit
The first two Seasons merged theme and character really well. This Season struggles with that in more ways than one and I'll point out when and how it does. I feel like this episode took a break from the most interesting stuff to focus on themes that speak for themselves that don't require Gloria's trip to the other side of the country.
Defo the weakest of the season. We got to know the policewoman's character better though; she's likeable. And the next episode more than makes up for it with the return of Lorne as the narrator. And Varga's post dinner 'ritual'...
Yeah it's not very entertaining, but it's episodes and scenes like this that distinguishes Fargo from the rest. The whole series is not meant for entertainment. A horrible episode for reactions though, no doubt.

Not my favourite episode or season but S3 gets sh*t on far too much. All in all it's very good, just maybe not quite as good imo as S1+2.
this season is by far the most rewarding on a rewatch, a lot of ambition on the writing side of things

I can help 🙂
The robot had traits of both Thaddeus and Gloria Burgle.
This episode is the Mike Yanagita scene in the original Fargo film. It feels like a strange distraction, but it is thematically very important.
Watch out for those Santas
I love how in season 1 and season 3 we have actors from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.. DENIS AND MAC.
Hang in guys...
there are so many coen brothers movie referances
"I can help" Arby's is a reference to the movie, also in the first episode you missed a reference to the movie, it's not in your reaction video.

Yep. And it sounded like the Varga actor voicing the tall robot who switches off Thaddeus at the end, although he's speaking more friendly.

5:54 Leland Palmer
For the life of me, I still can't figure out why women with Minnesota accents are so damn cute. But they are.
This may be my favorite episode in the show. It’s definitely up there. It’s Fargo’s “Fly” episode for sure, lmfao
Google Fargo and Twin Peaks actor ...
Leland Palmer, Laura's dad. Great actor.
A throwaway episode. Just introduces a character that is shown later at an important point.

This episode definitely establishes overall themes within the season, but this is absolutely the worst episode of the season and maybe show.
