You guys were wondering about their mic checks/rehearsals. There are a few videos of them doing mic checks and it just sounds like they're performing. Some fans who have been to them joked it's a free concert before the concert

Ko Woorim IS Basso PROFUNDO. He comes down to E1 and has a very wide vocal range. He and Cho Mingyu (tenor LEGGERO, who can also reach extreme heights) both have master's degrees in classical singing and, apart from the wonderful timbres, are top notch technicians. But the other two members are just as accomplished. Kang Hjungho (2nd from left!) ) takes on the actual "soprano" part in this group. He also has a very large vocal range and can switch seamlessly from the highest to the lowest pitches. And they are perfectionists in the best sense. Everything is discussed and worked through down to the smallest detail and they practice VERY intensively. Otherwise you cannot reach this level of harmonies.

From left to right, the members are: Ko Woorim (classically trained basso profundo), Kang Hyungho (rocker, countertenor- had no formal vocal training), Cho Mingyu (classically trained lyric tenor), and Bae Doohoon (baritone, musical actor). They have so many more stunning performances, including "Bohemian Rhapsody," "Time in a Bottle," "Maldita Sea Mi Suerte," "Sound of Silence," and "Scarborough Fair"!

“Je suis Malade”, now a french classic, was written by famous French singer & songwriter Serge Lama together with composer/singer Alice Dona in 1973.
This is based on his own experience and he was the original performer, hence some lyrics are a bit male-oriented (eg my mother leaves me, whiskies, I pour my blood in your body, …).
When Serge Lama had a dinner with Alice Dona and told her about his obsessive love that was leading to a road block, she came back home and compose the music in a couple of hours.
The morning after, she presented him the music and he wrote the lyrics in … 20 minutes.
Serge Lama was the original performer in 1973, it started to be promoted on the radio, and the song was brought to fame only when, a few months after, Dalida covered it. She was an absolute mega star in France, another emotional powerhouse, and this song resonated very much with her own feelings. Her success with this song transformed it into a french classic, and started to make it famous abroad.
But it is Lara Fabian that really made this song a very popular song in many countries with her cover in the mid 90s.
At that time Dalida had already passed away, but Serge Lama was (and is) still alive. Dalida and Serge were two inspirations for Lara, so she sent an audio copy to Serge of her version. She was unknown at that time in France but he was so impressed with her vocal skills and her emotions rendering that he invited her in France to sing it as a duet. Lara also had made some subtle changes to the song that gave it even more power.serge and Lara became good friends.

is legendary internationally and has attracted many artists to do a cover, even from non french-speaking countries.
The most recent ones I am aware of are from italian singer Giulia Falcone, from the korean singer Choi Sung Hoon or from the korean band Forestella.
Lara is used to perform the song very differently in each of her tour and for instance this 2003 version is even more dramatic

Actually, the counter-tenor is the one you said was a lyric tenor. He is the last one to come in. Ko Woo Rim is the first one to sing. He is a basso profundo. Bae Doohoon is a tenor (theatrical), the 3rd one is Cho MinGyu (Tenor leggero) and Kang HyungHo (Countertenor/Rock)
The Bass, Woorim, has a vocal range that goes from D1 to G4. (At least what I've heard him do). That range, plus his timbre definitely classifies him as a Basso Profundo, though the group rarely utilizes him in that way.
The Countertenor, Hyungho, has a vocal range from C2 to C6! (Again, just the range I've heard). Which tosses him firmly into Soprano range.
They really have the most amazing bookends for just the perfect group.

As to Basso Profundo's, I choose Avi Kaplan.
Classically trained. The Los Angeles Opera House presented him with an offer but he chose to be the bass for Pentatonix.
He chose a solo career a bit over 7 years ago.
He is a singer/songwriter but he has chosen a genera of Folk, country and western....
He is also a an overtone singer. His range is over 5 octaves and you might hear him using any of his octaves in his songs.
It is not unusual for him to awaken in the mornings and live stream a full song or cover a short.
