I have been thru many spots along I-17 in AZ. There are many RV's, motorhomes, vans etc that stay all summer in one area. I had rangers come after me in Camp Verde (I cleaned a huge fire pit that had nails, screws, glass and some sketchy other stuff). I tried to take bags of ash to the transfer station, but they refused to take it. I lined up about 15 bags at the site. A ranger came by asking when I was leaving? I said Today. He said he has my truck on camera. Hmmm, ok. I told him I cleane the big pit and explained about the transfer station refused to take it. He said 'No problem, I'll pick it up on my way back down. Thank you for cleaning it up'. I got stopped by FS law enforcement as they got a message from the ranger, that I just left a pile of ash - about 18 bags. I told LE about ranger conversation. They said that ranger didn't pass That Part on! So they are criminalizing those of us trying to clean up, yet, the ones who Make the messes, and stay all summer in one location, go un-noticed? I don't get it! 😢 Confused!
Not surprised RV sales are dropping with the poor quality and ripoffs. Thank you for your take on this issue. I will stick with my Forest River Cardinal which I feel is better built. Even with a few issues cropping up after 18 years of use.
The economy is not tanking. Inflation is down to 3%, gas prices are way down & the fed is getting ready to start a series of interest rate reductions. Sales are down because of poor quality & many people no longer work remotely since the worst of the pandemic is over.
@@susanvanhorne1619Oil prices almost always fall during recessions and we are at a 3 year low. Consumption growth is 1.9% (below average). Unemployment rose to 4.3% up from 3.5% a year ago. All this to say I think the economy has decelerated considerably and it needs to level out soon. I hope it does! Recessions suck.
Jason thank you so much for this information on Starlink and the people who caused a fire. And the recalls Ford and Rams are having. And the changes with the FMCA. Thank you Jason! Say hi to Abby for me.
Can we get truck manufacturers to test and work out any "bugs" before putting them up for sale? We are doing their testing and product development and paying good money to do it.
Thanks for another excellent new recap. We really like our StarLink Mini. With our Mini Unlimited Roam, StarLink sells two mobile mounts. Are these safe to secure the mini antrenna while moving? Will the mini antenna withstand mobile use? I can’t find the answer. These constant changes are what happens when there is one service provider.
I bought starlink when it first came out, then with all these increased fees and changes in the plan etc etc. I canceled my plan and returned the dish.
I live in Palm Springs CA and I have been looking for any NEWER reviews of Starlink testing in the extreme heat. We regularly hit 118 to 121 during the summer months and not sure how well it will do. Do you know of any testing besides from Starlink
RE: Starlink….I can’t seem to find information on what happens when you go to Baja for 3 or 4 months which is over the 2 month limit. Do they charge by additional GB used?
@@tomburke1960 theoretically it will stop working, though they have yet to enforce it. It’s not a money thing - it’s a political thing with the different countries they negotiate with. It’s assumed by many that they will begin enforcing it now, but you can change your address to Mexico I believe to solve the problem temporarily.
At Ford, quality is job none. Their recalls are out of control. They need to do something about the camshaft delamination issue in the 7.3. I'd like to see the day that RV dealers are not "pleased" with the show. I think they write the copy before the show starts.

Thank you for reporting the "big picture" on so many different aspects of RV'ing. I appreciate all of the info!
Thanks so much for keeping us updated Jason!!!

The economy is tanking, people are racking up credit card debt. It is no wonder RV sales are down.

Right. Not one can seem to turn out a product that’s ready for prime time and none of them are immune
Stellantis quality. awesome.
50 feet x 50 feet??!!! Wow. Glad it was able to be stopped before it took over the whole campground!! - Michelle

Thanks Jason. Always great info. Any idea regarding Starlink for ROAM in motion, do you need the HP antenna or will the standard antenna work too?
Standard will work, too
Where's the Homecoming Ralley Information?? Not in the description...I have my glasses on....😂
It was hiding at the bottom for some reason. I’ve moved it up right below the description. Thanks! 🙌🏽 -Abby

Moronic to use gasoline to start a fire.
