    Thank you so much for this I’ve just ordered one in the U.K. and I’m so excited. I was looking at paying the same price as the digiboiler for the 9l (but it’s 16l but the same style pot) one you have but from a candle company so I’m so glad you put this video up I’m so grateful. ❤

    A power surge, or transient voltage, is an increase in voltage significantly above the designated level in a flow of electricity. In normal household and office wiring in the United States, the standard voltage is 120 volts. If the voltage rises above 120 volts, there is a problem, and a surge protector helps prevent surges from damaging your electronics. what matters is the breaker you may have 15 amp outlets standard in most rooms or 20 amp found mostly in garages kitchens bathrooms.

    1000 watt is for when you have if complete full of wax you also need to keep enough wax for you not to get the e3 code the e3 code is for when the level of the wax is to low, remember you bought something that is use for beer making so you are using it for wax so you are going to have to make adjustments so that you don't get the codes for beer making. 500 watts is great for wax but you will need to make sure to keep the level up on it so that you don't get the codes.

    Thank you Erica for all your great videos! Love your generosity in sharing all the information. I’m looking to buy a digiboil and would like to have an option of buying them somewhere in Europe. The ones I’ve found here are for brewing and I’m not sure how different they are with the digiboils which are fitted for the melting wax. Would you have any ideas of the differences? Would the ones for brewing also work for wax?

    • @ItsLeyaMarie

    Should I use a different Digiboil for different waxes? More specifically is the wax going to be contaminated enough to alter anything if I use one Digiboil for a wax and then empty and clean it with alcohol and then use a different wax,then go back to my main wax? I have a wax that I mainly use right now but I would like to test other waxes in larger quantities.

    • @chezlapin9714

      Hello! I am also having the same E3 error. I suspect it is trying to avoid overboiling the wax (what is melted). Any ideas on how to avoid this issue?

      I recently bought a Digiboil after watching this video and having a bad experience with one I bought on Amazon. I almost canceled my Digiboil order after learning about the E3 error but decided to take a chance. I've had it for about a week now and the first time I tried it I instantly got the E3 error. I had set it to 185F and it just wouldn't work. What I do now is I have to gradually increase the heat. When I turn it on I will set it to about 65-75F and then gradually increase it by 10 degrees. I'll give it a 2-4 minutes and then increase by 10 degrees until I get to my desired temp, which is about 172F. Doing this gradual increase has helped me avoid the E3 error so far.

    Hi Erica! Love your channel. Question, I am new to candle making and am struggling with my presto pot. I measure out the wax in solid form but once it melts in the presto pot, I don't have enough wax to fill my candle. Is there a different measurement or any ideas why the solid vs melted wax amount is different?

    • @MemoryBoxCandleCo
      @MemoryBoxCandleCo  2 года назад +1

      Hi! 💙
      Are you only putting enough wax to make one candle in the presto pot at a time?
      Melted wax and solid wax weigh the same, but if you are only putting a small amount in the presto pot at a time, there could be wax residue sticking to the pot which could result in a different weight

    • @morojas106

  • @connieheigel2764

    When measuring the temp on the digiboil, are you checking the temp in the digiboil before pouring it to the pouring pitcher or checking it after you pour into the pitcher? I am having trouble finding a thermometer long enough to measure to the bottom of the tank.

    • @MemoryBoxCandleCo
      @MemoryBoxCandleCo  2 года назад +1

      Yes! I check it was a contactless laser thermometer! (It’s not 100% accurate though, it usually says that it’s 5-10 degrees hotter than it is so I just take that into account when I measure!)
      Ps you don’t need to touch the bottom, the bottom is actually the hottest part so you could just stick the probe in about 1/3-1/2 way and get an accurate result!
