Hi H Leso! Thank you so much for your kind words and a warm welcome to our RUclips candle fam. Love and light always.
Me encantan tus videos eres muy carismatico todo lo que haces esta padrisimo!!!!:beautiful candles 🥰
I feel like it makes more sense to cut the wick after pouring and waiting for the wax to set. But ive only really watched cotton wicks. So its easier.
Hi Allen. Thank you for an amazing series of videos. First, only a hobbyist BUT wish to gift my family & friends the BEST quality items. I have been making cold process soap for over 3 years. And begun my candle exploration. What I’m gently saying, happy to share what I’ve learned and thoughts and also to learn. Candle making is such an art-way too many choices of waxes and blends-makes my head spin. Lol. Yet I remember feeling the same when I started soap. So so many oils etc. would you ever consider creating a beginner series similar to what Katie from Royalty Soaps did for her tribe? I would never dream of asking you to share your proprietary blends but maybe ones which you started with-ones that offered solid results? I’ve watched so so many videos BUT your style and way to deliver information is so lovely and easy to follow.
Regardless, a new subscriber and fan! PS. I’ve used CandleScience for over 2 years and super love them. Also, a new relationship with 16/17! All my best. G.
Hi RT! Thank you for your comment. I’d absolutely consider making a beginner series, and I have already made some videos intended for first time/new candlemakers. Have you found those? Let me know what else might be helpful. Love and light always 🌱✨
This was so fun to watch, thank you for sharing! Would you ever do an asmr version? I loved all of the pouring sounds. 😂
Hi Jasmine!! I am so glad you found this enjoyable. I would definitely consider it. Love and light always.
I am always over pouring candles so I bought a 1 oz ladle- game changer!
Hi Nicole!! What a great idea. I just may invest in one of these too!! Love and light always.
Those jars are very beautiful and your work is amazingly beautiful. You can leave the plastic bags on the vassals when you are pouring the wax, because, that prevents the spillage from getting on your vassals . You can get a pistol funnel to help you.❤
Hi Regina! Thank you so much for your kind words and helpful suggestions. Love and light always 💛✨🌱
I’ve used wick stickers for ages and they’re so much easier!
Hi Shvdowbox! Thank you for your comment. I have had trouble with them staying stuck in higher meltpoint waxes. May I ask which company you purchase yours from? Love and light always.
Hi Alan: I’ve been testing and researching candle making for a year now and just came across your channel. So glad I did, I love your background music and your whole vibe. Especially your fragrance reviews, the expression on your face when you fall in love with a scent is priceless!
I have one question. I also have a cricut and was making my own dust covers with just scrapbook paper and the paper was getting spots of grease from my 464. What paper do you use?
Also, I know you like everything snow, check out Snowy Evergreen from Bulk Apothecary. OMG, I made a bunch of candles with that scent just for my own personal use for this Christmas! Keep on being you and making dope content! 🥰
Hi Tara! I just use a plain cardstock from amazon. I should have it linked in my description box as well. It can get grease stains so I always print extra.
Enjoyed your video ❤
Do you have a video on how to make the candle dust covers for the candles?
Its genius that you are using a brewer pot for making beer. I was like that looks almost similar to what my guy and I home brew in. But I won't experiment in his...I have a presto pot. But right on for using that
Allen, I love your content. I have been thinking about buying a Cricut for making dust covers. Would you consider a how-to video one day for making those? 😊
Great suggestion!
Do you make your own labels as well as your dust covers? What program do you use?
Hello lovely, thank you so much for sharing love your videos xxx
Absolutely, Julia. Love and light always.
Thank you for always sharing. What size wooden wick ate you using?
Hi! Those are 0.4 series 0.5” woodwicks. Love and light always. ✨🌱
What is the point of the glass stick for the fragrances?
Hi Alan, thank you so much for helping candle makers. I do have a question regarding the 76 coconut oil. I did go on soapers choice and they sell it in bottles, cubes or pails. Since I am just starting to test, I was wondering if this oil is liquid or semi solid. How do you store it, I keep my home at 73*F-74*F can I store it in the fridge so it doesn’t melt, or does that matter? Thank you so much again, Kindly Deborah
Hi Deborah! Thank you for your comment. The oil is a solid form but will begin to melt at 76 degrees. I store it anywhere in my home that it climate controlled. The fridge is certainly not necessary in my opinion. If it does melt a little, it just re-solidifies and does not seem to effect it one bit. Love and light always!
New subscriber here!Love your channel! Nice vibe, awesome music, inspiring and very educational!
Can you tell me the width of the wicks you are using. I am having such a hard time deciding. I haven't made my first candle yet, trying to get all the supplies. Well thank you again Earthglow! You Rock!!!! Love & Light to you as well!!! ✌
Hi there! These are .04 series 0.5” width crackling booster wicks from Makesy. I’d recommend starting with their wick guide for wooden wicks and testing from there
These look so beautiful What temperature do you pour your candles ?
Between 135-145 Fahrenheit
Aww your candles look beautiful. My candles are not responding well to wooden wicks. They’re unpredictable. Are yours consistent or depends on the FO? I get nice size flame and mouth pool. But the candles don’t always smell. I use soy#10. Any advice?
it really depends on the oil!! and even then the wooden wicks are much more inconsistent overall.
How did you make the dusters. So neat
I actually designed them in canvas and cut them with my Cricut ✔️
Hi Allen!!!! Question??? Do you like the wooden wicks? Which do you prefer the wooden or cotton wicks? Hugs from Colorado 😊
Oooh that’s tough!! I often get annoyed at the inconsistency of wooden wicks but overall would still say I prefer them just for that flicker and crackle. BUT for business purposes, if asked to choose only one, I’d go with cotton because you can be more much guaranteed a consistent candle and they’re more user-friendly.
@@earthglow thanks 🙏 for your response
Love the Jazz you always play Have you heard Gato Barbieri. Ruby Ruby album? It’s cool
Thank you so much for this video! I have a question. You have two pitchers. Do you divide the ingredients evenly between the two pitchers?
Do you melt the coconut oil and divide it in half? And pour into pitcher with soy wax? The same with the beeswax? Do you melt it evenly and pour into each pitcher?
I put them all in the Digiboil at once. Hope this helps!
@@earthglow Thank you. It does! I really love all your videos!
@@earthglow Youdont get worried that the beeswqx will clog the digiboil spout?
Is it a good option to blend just Soy 464 & Coconut Oil 76? And is Coconut Oil 76 the same as Coconut Oil 76 RBD? This is all very new to me and I'm trying to find a natural coconut wax that will work, it's kinda confusing. I'll definitely try the bees wax at some point but trying to keep it as simple as I can. Allen, your videos are such an amazing resource and I really appreciate the effort that goes into them, thank you.
Hi Aaron! I would recommend experimenting and testing and seeing what you like. Do keep in mind that both of these oils are very soft and the 76 degree coco will cause your 464 to have an even lower melt point which will likely make shipping and farmer's markets in the summer challenging. I'd recommend also blending in something like beeswax or a viscous paraffin or palm wax to raise the meltpoint.
@@earthglow Thank you Allen, I really appreciate the help. I'm in Canada and it's difficult to find some of the wax's you have in the USA. I'm trying to do my own coconut soy blend rather than relying on pre-made blends where the availability can be hit or miss.
Music a bit TOO LOUD for your voice at times. Great video. Your candles look GORGEOUS AND LOVE YOUR LABELS
Thanks for the feedback!
I would love to start a candle business
Do you put all of your waxes. The soy, beeswax, coconut oil in the digi boil?
Yup, all at once :)
You’re a genius.
you're kind! forever a student here :)
How many ounces are these candles? You've done an amazing job ❤️
Hi Jacquie! These candles are 8.82 oz fill, including the wax and fragrance but I fill them pretty high! Love and light always.
@@earthglow ❤️
Beautiful
Thank you 😊
hi so i got these same black matte jars from candle science. should i fill them up to the 8.5oz fill line
Hi Jessica! I fill these jars with exactly 8.5 oz (wax+fragrance). I think this produces a nice finished product with a dust cover. Love and light 💛✨
@@earthglow so if I measure 8.5oz it won’t overflow
@@ItsJessie915 It would depend on the density of your wax but I think Candlescience’s recommendation of 8.3 oz is a good starting point.
@@earthglow I’m using coconut apricot crème wax from Maksey
@@ItsJessie915 I’d recommend 8.3 oz total (that is wax+fragrance) to start and if it looks a little low, you could always go up to 8.5. 💛✨
What about a concrete cinder block to put it on
Hi Kathy! I think this could certainly work but might scratch my quartz counter!! Ha ha ha!! Love and light always.
@@earthglow yeah... That would NOT be good! Lol
What is the purpose of the coconut oil
Hi Patricia! Feel free to check out this video where I outline the purposes of each ingredient
ruclips.net/video/Bsi1GOy2Jos/видео.html
Hope you enjoy! Love and light always 💛🌱
you should get a pancake dispenser it will sabe your life when pouring your wa
Hi Jessica!! YES, someone else was mentioning this too in the live chat. I promise, though, this was a spill record for me this year. Ha ha ha!!!
It looks like you need two people almost!
Hahaha I wish!!!
Hello allen, love your videos but you really need to kill the music can't hear what your saying
Hi Jennifer!! Oh no, I am sorry if the music was a bit too loud for you. I'll turn it down a little next time. Love and light always.
I have had so many issues with wooden wicks, they just won’t stay lit! I’ll try again🥴
Yah, they are pretty finicky.
Beautiful candles, I really like the containers. What is this wax mixture made of that makes the candles so malleable? Regards
I've got a whole video on how I formulated my wax blend. Let me know if you're having trouble finding it :)
whit that machine can make thank u cards and stickers? thanks
There are a number of different ways to do this. You can even get perforated paper on Amazon and just print in your regular printer and then split the paper.
