I'm finally glad to see english people that don't modernize an old house with a lot of character already. You guys have a lot of taste.
A home that has not been overly "done up". Keeping it's historic feel, with modern comforts. Josie and Charlie really seem to be the best hosts and have the perfect surroundings for entertaining. Yet you just have the feeling, that when you are there, you feel "at home" right away and comfortable from the "get go".

So cosy. It feels like a home that you could live in for generations. I so hate those cold, all white modern homes that feel more like a store display than a home. This is lovely. I especially appreciate the green. When we decorated our home, I told ,y designer I wanted my home to feel calm and like a sanctuary. She used five different shades of green and I love it. My guests always say they feel so peaceful in my home.
This was so enjoyable to watch because they are clearly both equally invested in their house and what they’ve done with it. I really liked the way they talked about how their tastes have evolved as they have got to know their house, and how they would do some things differently now. They seem to have a real respect for the building and its integrity.
I've been a follower of Josie and Charlie for nearly 4 years. They welcome you into their home with such warmth and Dexter and Dickens are always a joy. Its been fun to watch them grow and change as time evolves in their beautiful home. 🏡

I love that you lived ‘with your dogs’. I have been had by three Old English Sheepdogs, Velcro dogs we call them. Tasha, Megan, and Ashley. I named Ashley after Laura Ashley and she lived up to the name. She’d go into people’s houses and she’d explore very room and closet. She was my favorite and I miss her every day.

Love old homes they shout character and warmth if decorated correctly. The style and colours used are perfect. My own home is pink and green with neutrals. Such a warm and cosy colour combination.
