I know Helloween will play in front of an estimated quantity of 300,000 people, but they will play on 22 sep. on the second most important stage which starts at 2pm, this is the opening order: Andre Matos, Destruction, Krisium, Helloween and headliner will be Sepultura, so they have a good place in the show. The main set that day has Slayer and Iron Maiden at night.
Here in South America, people love Helloween, in fact we are really, really crazy about metal!!

Love this version, this DVD is my favorite! I am planning on going to NY to see them (I'm in MA), I am spending big bucks to go to Iceland this summer and probably will be broke, but I'm getting tickets anyway because God knows when they'll be back.
Thanks! Yes, I'm REALLY excited to see Helloween on this tour! I really respect EVERYONE who has been in Helloween, I think they're all great in their own ways. Obviously Kai wrote some of the best Helloween songs. I like Gamma Ray, but for some reason they never quite resonated with me as much. I get lots of requests for them, and older Helloween, but...I just love this Brazil CD so much! I LOVE the Unisonic record too! I'll probably do some of that someday.

I wonder how Helloween will be billed at Rock in Rio? Could they be headlining? That would be INCREDIBLE! Doesn't seem possible from here though, in the U.S. they seem to mostly play clubs! CLUBS!?!

True, they are great in their own ways, I also followed most of the bands that all those members created later, like, Gamma Ray, Masterplan, Iron Savior, now Unisonic great stuff!!
I normally can´t decide about Helloween or Gamma Ray, but I think by a bit I like more Gamma Ray, because of Hansen compositions and voice. But Helloween is the father of power metal, no one can take that away, Deris does a great job and kept Helloween strong after Kiske left, those first albums with Deris are great.
Congratulations, one of the best versions of this great son... the atitude that you show when playin guitar its great too.... :p ... (my ingish, no is so good scuse me)

Awesome job on Helloween's number one song. Man i never get tired of hearing this one. i have been working on their song Nabataea. i couldn't find any tabs for it, so i had to figure it out on my own. i think i have it down, it sounds ok. The song is in C#. But maybe you could do a cover of it sometime so i can see how you play it. Anyway great job man, i really enjoyed this.

It depends on the song. Usually I can transcribe in a sitting or two, couple hours. Others take years to crack the code, you know? But that's how I learn. Usually what happens is, I learn the song, then I forget it over night, then I have to learn it again the next day. Then I play it for a while, then I get bored with it and forget it for a couple of years. Then I have to relearn it, which doesn't take too long. Then I might spend an hour, to a couple hours trying to nail it down for youtube.

Graham Ferguson glad you got tickets in time! I got a concert notification through the venue myself, I almost deleted it, but “Helloween” caught my eye & I opened it. I was so excited and since no friends/family are into them (except my cousin who I dragged to NYC to see them in 2016), I had to shout it out to my fellow fans on the Internet, lol! Yes, September is perfect and the venue here is not far away, so it is perfect!

Yeah, I can tell you guys really love your metal! I really enjoy watching you on my DVDs! :) People in North America love metal too, but it seems different up here somehow. People like different bands, not as into Helloween or Maiden. I'm kind of an oddball I think.

Thanks, I'm glad to hear you've enjoyed it! I haven't learned anything from the new album, but I do like it very much. You're probably better off figuring it out on your own, TABS are usually pretty worthless if you ask me, especially when it counts. Maybe I'll watch YOU and see how to play it!

Thanks for watching! The gear that really makes my sound is Jazz III picks, EMG pickups, and Marshall amplification (or a really good simulation of a Marshall.) You also need a Tube Screamer or a Boss Super Overdrive. Any guitar that is set up right and has EMG pickups will sound pretty awesome in my experience. I like my Dean and Ibanez stuff because they have thin necks, 24 frets, and are highly playable at the neck joint.

Greetings Argentina, thanks for your nice comment. I don't have tabs for any of the songs I do, I never use them. Tabs are garbage. All you need is a good pair of headphones and a phrase trainer, and you can do it by ear just like me.
