BlueKirby64 Dude, Thunderhead’s Axe is more golden than Death Adder’s. At least in the Genesis version, they corrected that mistake by NOT coloring it Yellow.
And yet his family, Death Subtractor, Death Multiplier, and Death Divider never attempt revenge. It's all good, understandable if after 79 of these things the label of 'creepy bad' feels a bit restrictive. If I may offer some suggestions of endings I always found creepy and bad that you never covered: Bad ending of Demon's Crest, the Yuzu route in Devil Survivor.
As a kid, I always thought the blue bandit enemy in this game (seen at 2:09) was a giant squirrel. He has weird buck teeth and his laugh sounds like chirping noises. I thought the bag was a big fluffy tail.
If possible that Bandai Namco able to pull off a Season 3 of Soul Calibur VI, then I nominate the trio of Ax, Tyris Flare and Thunderhead and/ or the final boss Death Adder as the playable guest characters.
I was thinking the part where you kick the thieves for magic and health. Looking at the footage this seems to be true for the arcade version, but not the Genesis version.
2:17 Oh god! I hadn't noticed this before but the snakes are crawling to that pile of dead bodies that form together to create Death Adder! And when he forms the bodies explode! Look at 2:20 you can see chunks of mutilated human heads and limbs and stuff scattering towards the screen!!
I welcome this change immensely. I really like your perspective on many different endings (I find myself going back to your video about ActRaiser), so I'm looking forward to your future videos!
I think that if you haven't already, you should cover the different endings for the arcade games Gunbird 1 and 2. Those endings range from hilarious to extremely bizarre.
Lmao I died laughing at the part. That was a life lesson for me when I was a little kid. Never played any game on easy mode ever again, cause it felt like I was punking out.
Hmm I'm unsure about the change... I'd rather have multiple series and playlists so I know the theme of the video beforehand. Feels like it'll be a bit too chaotic if you lump all of it together. I mean, I'll watch anyway since you're one of my favorite youtubers, but I still feel like a proper classification of the series would be best. Anyway, great video! Finally I know where do the Mire of Madness things come from!
6:01 You play this game like a BEGINNER i've always wanted to say Mr. X makes a good villain, challenging the heroes at every turn, fighting you in a copy android version of himself, having a badass of a bodyguard in the form of Shiva, possibly destroying a city...insulting your skill at video games, which is above and beyond really
2:15: Actually, according to some versions of the script, they weren't supposed to be snakes (which is odd since you'd think that'd make sense; I mean, he _is_ called "Death ADDER," and adders are a type of snake); instead, Death Adder was comprised of the _maggots that nested inside of the corpses of the 3 heroes slaughtered kinsfolk_ . Metal as all hell, but more then a little disgusting and... intense for younger players. This was because Death Adder wasn't merely an evil warrior-wizard wielding the Golden Axe; he was purportedly a Necromancer (explaining the presence of all the Skele-Lads throughout the various levels) who had been slain before, but who could never _truly_ die, so long as he had his prized axe and so long as he had minions to resurrect him/ supply him with corpses to reconstitute himself from. Not sure if this story is "true," but I've had multiple people tell me this, too many for this to merely be made up, as well as various sites dedicated to explaining localization differences between original Japanese dialogue and Anglicized/ Americanized Dialogue (if it is though, it's probably some kind of creepypasta or urban legend).
i can understand using your most popular series as a label to explore more games as its interesting endings just endings is what i shall call the series as a headcanon from this video forward the etc series
the first time i played this game was the sega version and i remember pass throw all that levels includind the very last boss with the skeletons then i had the oportunity to played again and i coud'nt beat the first boss and i was like "how the hell did i beat this when i was a just a kid?" 😂😂
I always loved it too when video games showed the cast of all the characters in the closing credits. Bonk's Adventure and Super Mario 2 were my personal favorites, and Paper Mario TTYD had shadows of all the characters walking in line, which was both cool and a little creepy.
I could never get past Stage 7. I knew that I was so close to beating the game every time and I still haven't done it. Then again I haven't tried in years. Time to dust off the old Genesis again it would seem.
Weren't you already using the cbe playlist for any endings you want? I have no problem with you putting any ending in there, I'll watch just about anything you post that's videogame related
Have you already done a video like this covering the Shovel Knight series? It'd be really cool to hear your opinions on the endings of the games It's only a suggestion, tho
I played this final boss...yeah, I HAD to save state in order to beat this guy. I went most of the game without losing any lives and I STILL had to cheat a little bit just to beat this jerk... Also, the dragon does NOT insta-kill; it does 2.5 bars of damage, which is still BS...
An amazon, a dwarf and a man in a blue speedo team up to commit genocide against a clan and force the last survivor to play wordball with them afterwards. The last, defeated hero runs screaming into the sunset as the trio of death call down the literal end of time.

Fun fact: the two skeletons accompaning the final boss aren't invincible. Actually, each of them have *twice* the final boss health.

I'm surprised that the magic using enemy isn't in the arcade game. It seems like the perfect arcade boss to make kids use up their quarters.
Moral of the game? The less clothes you wear, the stronger your magic is.
Ax Battler is wearing less than Tyris Flare, yet his magic isn't as powerful. Explain that.
The real criteria is how close it is to a robe and pointy hat.
@@MrJoshuaSalway1990 male stronk, but the woman isnt allowed to be less useful than men because some feminist will start crying. So they gave the woman strong magic.
Pretty sure it's the other way around. If your magic is powerful enough you don't need armor to protect yourself.
Sound like kars
I’ve been wondering about this: if Death Adder took over Yuria and stole the Golden Axe, why does Gilus Thunderhead have a Golden Axe too?
Probably just got it from the same forge. Everyone knows Dwarves make the best axes.
Maybe he just dyed his axe yellow.
BlueKirby64 Dude, Thunderhead’s Axe is more golden than Death Adder’s. At least in the Genesis version, they corrected that mistake by NOT coloring it Yellow.
I also thought the same too when I played Golden Axe. But then I paid no mind to it anymore.
AngelFan 92 I would probably believe Isynno’s theory on that.
And yet his family, Death Subtractor, Death Multiplier, and Death Divider never attempt revenge.

*WHEEZE*
Ahh Golden Axe, the game where you had magic and dragons and the mightiest weapon of all, the Dwarven charging Headbutt.
Best technique for any encounter in the game lmao memories
My homies and I used to fight over who got to be the dwarf for that very reason lmao
ah yes my favorite arcade:

why is that so funny to me
As a kid, I always thought the blue bandit enemy in this game (seen at 2:09) was a giant squirrel. He has weird buck teeth and his laugh sounds like chirping noises. I thought the bag was a big fluffy tail.
I thought the exact same
The first consolidation of series. I'm so glad you still have content to pull from after all these years. The well of video games may never run dry.
Am I the only one who got used into the git'd music and sound for this game?
I actually thought they were the real sounds
That's so cool that in the arcade version, Death Adder is a pile of snakes that form into a man, cause a Death Adder is a type of snake.
If possible that Bandai Namco able to pull off a Season 3 of Soul Calibur VI, then I nominate the trio of Ax, Tyris Flare and Thunderhead and/ or the final boss Death Adder as the playable guest characters.
That would be absolutely sick.
It probably counts the intermissions as stages too or something.
So the stage 1 intermission is stage 0?
I was thinking the part where you kick the thieves for magic and health. Looking at the footage this seems to be true for the arcade version, but not the Genesis version.
Ah yes, the game where you shouted "brickle barkle" at us about a million times through out your one playthrough
So does this mean we'll see the triumphant return of Lovely Good Endings?
This is probably one of the last games where you would want the characters from it to jump out of the screen and into the real world
Maybe make a new series called "random endings" and keep creepy bad endings as a separate thing?
How crazy and bizarre it is that you could still use CBE to refer to the series
This pretty much marks the ten year point of creepy bad endings, which is why it's kinda funny that it's not creepy bad endings
You know what would make a creepy good/bad ending?
Klonoa: Door to Phantomile. The ending to that is an absolute gut punch.
What about Link's Awakening?
But why this couldn't be as another series?
because numbers.
the name feels so wrong
Why not just go for "Crazy Endings" then? A creepy bad one can be called crazy, and you have free reign over what classifies as craziness, dude
What about lovely good endings?
2:17 Oh god! I hadn't noticed this before but the snakes are crawling to that pile of dead bodies that form together to create Death Adder! And when he forms the bodies explode! Look at 2:20 you can see chunks of mutilated human heads and limbs and stuff scattering towards the screen!!

Imagine how long it'd take these days for credits to go by with characters playing word baseball.
I think that if you haven't already, you should cover the different endings for the arcade games Gunbird 1 and 2. Those endings range from hilarious to extremely bizarre.
6:02 I see what you did there XD. Very clever

Man it’s pretty crazy that the series is changing after 10 years... will the playlist name be changed to?
Why do Golden Axe's endings remind me of Contra III's endings?
Getting the Streets of Rage 3 treatment again, huh? Good thing I don't play on easy.
Lmao I died laughing at the part. That was a life lesson for me when I was a little kid. Never played any game on easy mode ever again, cause it felt like I was punking out.
The Arcade version of Altered Beast also has a weird ending, where everyone was just acting for a movie, and their faces are censored.
Hmm I'm unsure about the change... I'd rather have multiple series and playlists so I know the theme of the video beforehand. Feels like it'll be a bit too chaotic if you lump all of it together. Anyway, great video! Finally I know where do the Mire of Madness things come from!
Yaaay new ending video!!! I hope you had a great christmas and new years, thank you for all the awesome content, love your channel

6:01 You play this game like a BEGINNER

I believe the nighttime stages where you're kicking the crap out of the thieves count as levels, that's why you see the odd numbers.
Dear git, what is your opinion on the dragon quest series, and which ones have you played if any?
Dam just after i finished my breakfast
God i love your content. I started to watch when you just got out your Waxworks video
I can see where etc came frim
Honestly it’s very impressive you were able to make 78 videos before expanding you topic a little.

The next one for good endings should be 'Celebrated Best Ending'
Yo holy shit I remember playing this on my Sega and getting stuck at the area with two skeleton -looking armored warriors
Is this how Sonic for Hire began? Characters jumping out of their game and making a new life in our world?
I agree with Git here, Death Bringer SUCKS to fight.
I faced that boss and I know that it's hell fighting it. I still have it recorded.
Lub Lub is evolving
I know Sega loved to do interesting roll calls back in the day, but this one for the arcade was their most bizarre I've seen yet.
Grey Longmoan is what they called me in college.
I could never get past Stage 7. I knew that I was so close to beating the game every time and I still haven't done it. Then again I haven't tried in years. Time to dust off the old Genesis again it would seem.
If it is anti drug it sure as hell makes me want to try em so I can be apart of golden axe
Weren't you already using the cbe playlist for any endings you want? I have no problem with you putting any ending in there, I'll watch just about anything you post that's videogame related
that ending boss with the 1 hit kill is just a insult to gamers. that is just to steal your quarters is all
Oh cool so am I not the only one who uses that technique to beat the final boss in golden axe
good job m8!
Like for the new format as well for the video👍🏼
How about a video for the endings for Far Cry 5?
Wow Golden Axe. I think that was my first ever video game too. That, Echo the Dolphin and Mutant League Football.
Its isn't so creepy anymore but thats isn't a bad change. keep with that.
Oh, so Sega Heroes didn't just pull Death Adder Jr. out of its ass
Have you already done a video like this covering the Shovel Knight series?
It'd be really cool to hear your opinions on the endings of the games
It's only a suggestion, tho
He doesn't like Shovel Knight
Double Feature episode with the return of Crazy Bizzare Endings ft. BOSSES I HATE * Scream *

New year, new endings.
His axe is made of his own fucking flesh.
Hmm... an interesting change, Git...
But a welcome one.
Why does a guy named "ax battler" use a sword?
Considering it's his actual name and not a job title, I'm guessing his parents thought it sounded cool.
Where's our other QR code pieces??? Don't leave us hanging! That's something LubLub would do.
Yeaaaah,more material to consider, yaaaaay
Adder is tall af

Good thing this game is some that doesn't end up with "marrying the princess" cause let's be honest here, it's getting too old-school
It would be too forward for its time if you did so with Tyris Flare.
I prefer the arcade ending much more fun-crazy insane and not expected. The Mega Drive version ending is a bit plain and ordinary, I feel.
arcade Sega games always had the best endings ever lol
The Arcade version has bad ending. The true last boss is inside the castle.
Far Cry 5 had a creepy good ending
