This is the last piece I’m playing on my senior recital... I HAVE TO NAIL THAT LAST NOTE that will conclude the whole recital...!!!! After recital: I nailed it!!!!
4:28 You execute these emblematic Debussy phrases so perfectly that I can imagine and even touch the rippling surface of the lake shrouded in the nightly stillness.
"Pagodes" ("Pagodas") - approx. 4-5 minutes. "La soirée dans Grenade" ("Evening in Granada") - approx. 5 1⁄2 minutes. "Jardins sous la pluie" ("Gardens in the Rain") - approx. 3 1⁄2 minutes.[1]
Debussy's piano works are among the most difficult ones to get right, technically and tonal - wise, and Tiffany is one of the few contemporary pianists who is able to play Debussy with the right voicing and touch. Especially the Pagodes and the Evening in Granada are outright mesmerizing.
Great performance, amazing virtuosity, especially in Jardins sous la Pluie, bravo. In this composition, I like the Pagodas the most, for it's pure and peaceful mood, with reminding of wind chimes background.
Tiffany I love your Interpretation of Debussy, he is my favorite composer and you make me love his music even more. Lots of love from Vienna, Austria🇦🇹
Inspired by her incomparable performance, I might have a dream of Debussy I am listening to her fabulous performance on this Pagode while bathing claire de lune with Debussy's spirit. I felt cozy listening to her inspirational performance From Tokyo of the Land of the Rising Sun🇯🇵
Wow, getting ready to start the morning and this popped up! Such a incredible treat for me to listen to this beautiful interpretation of Debussy. For me, I felt as if I was traveling, floating at times, as it went from a dream-like states to a dramatic ending. Amazing, the execution of such technical difficulty. Thank you for this Monday morning music to calm the madness!
Playing Debussy with patience and not rushing the piece already shows this is very much worth listening to. You can't push his phrasing forward, and the player in the video didn't do that. Thanks for that, this is something we can all enjoy.
Huge dynamic range of classical pieces played through earphones never go well together 😂😂 Got to turn down the volume before ff comes in. Fantastic playing as always Tiffany!!
I began trying to learn this piece a week ago but I have no formal music education and it's tough. I don't know how I will get through that part at 01:20 with 2 by 3 going on and then reversing between both hands and so on. So deceptively simple when you hear it.
tiffany your amazing!!! you inspired me to play piano when i saw your 2015 video of the moonlight sonata 1st movement i fell in love... i guess you can say i'm a fan
I went and listened to your recording from when you were 12 and then to this one. Technical proficiency is obvious in both your artistry in this recording has so obviously blossomed! My favorite recording of all 3 movements
Tiffany I have just watched the video when you were a child playing debussy Estampes and it is reallly amazing that I can see how you played now, you are fantastic.
Ah Tiffany! Since Michelangelo it's the first time I forget about the interpreter and that I deep dive into the pagode's dream of my childhood. Thank you so much!!!!
What a great way to start a week! Love love love the way you play your music. Your playing is elegant and beautiful! You are going to do great in your up coming competition! ❤️
I listened to this on my headphones whilst waiting for my food to cook and I really enjoyed it. One of the benefits I get from subscribing to your channel is that because I like you I’ll listen to pieces that I wouldn’t otherwise hear so you help to broaden my musical knowledge and taste. Thank you. 😊👍
This performance was sublime and transcendent. I would love to hear Tiffany play some Spanish composers - De Falla, Granados, Albeniz. I bet she could do them justice, and then some!
The Soiree cannot be played adaequately on another grand piano but the Steinway. The singing quality is unique for Steinways. So beautiful! Tiffany understands how to play this instrument like not many others.
Hello again, thanks for posting this piece. You play it very well. Nice dress. I was just going to only say something about the interesting tempo transitions controlling the mood structures of the listening attention span within the course of the performance of Debussy Estampes. It's very nice, thank you.
Fantastic playing Tiffany! My favorite Debussy interpreter is Alain Planes, you should check him out, however, your playing is too powerful and intense, I liked it!

Susanna Brave YES THE LAST NOTE OMG
@Val J ruclips.net/video/1C_l3hwV9Og/видео.html ... link to part 1 of my senior recital (Debussy was last on the program)
pro tip: watch movies on flixzone. I've been using them for watching loads of movies recently.
@Ishaan Curtis Definitely, I've been using Flixzone for months myself =)
Debussy truly transported the craft of piano composition to another dimension
Tim O'donnell I’d like to meet him
@@Bati_ That will be somewhat difficult- Claude Debussy died 100 years ago!
Debussy was inspired by Javanese Gamelan music

What... How come I've never heard of this before! Debussy is beautiful.
I woke up kinda stressed, but this made me feel more better, thanks Tiffany

i did something impulsive and nonobjective today -- i clicked on the 'like" button before i even started to play the video...
