I like how you don’t purposely damage things before restoring them. Makes it so much more interesting to watch. The Tonka truck’s color looks better than the original bright blue. You have earned a sub!
You have restored someone’s favorite toy ( just my idea), but I think deep down you restored so you could play a little or give it to a little boy or girl to see each glow with excitement. I love the blue and I love your devotion to what you love to do!
Superb job! A wise man once said “There’s no such thing as mistakes, just happy little accidents.” That blue looks very rich, like the owner of that company had a custom paint job rather than the same truck colour everyone else went for. Excellent!
😁😁There's nothing better to watch this guy doing total restoration of a Tonka toybtruck. Sandblasting is very interesting. Listen to the birds in the background singing is better then the garbage music they put out there. That truck is gonna cost more now. Great job.
Thank you for sharing this. I am on lockdown as so many people in the world. At this stage we need everything that can brighten up our day. I cannot work and earn money. I love models and have a tonka jeep from my childhood days. As always you did honour to a long forgotten destroyed toy. It looks exellent.
Nice to see someone using the correct bit on the Dremel tool to remove rivets. A lot of videos people use a cut off wheel and gouge the surrounding metal.
The color is fine. Looks like the Ford fleet color Bermuda / Bahama blue used by them in the 50's & 60's, Color code "J" in 1960. Thanks for another great restore. Narragansett Bay
May not have been the color you were after, but it looks BEAUTIFUL. As always, super job and attention to detail is second to none. I have a crazy request. Please do a Tonka vehicle all in that super chrome. It would be killer !! I said it was a CRAZY request !!
lol yeah i've definitely been thinking about that! when I get 100,000 subscribers youtube gives a Silver play button. sort of a trophy for getting your channel to that level. i think once i get a silver play button... it will on ly make sense to do an all chrome Tonka!!
It was so fun watching you work on something from my birth year. Although the color isn't authentic, I actually like the darker blue better. Great job!
Same with me when I was little..we had 2 of these trucks but one had parts missing off it and the hydraulic lift didn't work my older brother would always get the best one of the 2 and I got to play with the crappy one... lol
I had that very same model Tonka dump truck, but it was in the early 70’s I remember when it was given to me by a family friend I never knew what year it was.
Top notch restoration on this 1965 Tonka dump truck !!!!!!!!!!!! Two thumbs way up
Thanks for watching! 🤘🏼🤘🏼

The *new* blue is pretty, too! And, boy... that trick with the H2O2/Oxy-Clean/UV light really works its magic. Those parts look brand new now!
Thanks for watching! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
I like these vids because he's no talk and all action.
I think that slightly darker blue color would look more original than the lighter blue color. It turned out better than you thought. Nicely done!
Thanks! Happy mistake, as they say
