Makeup was much more sheer and less full coverage (the barely there concept with lots of bloting and dusting away excess, you never wanted to look like you were wearing makeup)... vintage make up took into large consideration your undertone. So colors often looked completely different in their containers verses on the skin. If yellow and blue make green your product may look super blue until applied... giving you a green once on the skin with the aid of the yellow in your undertone. This is why it was soooo important to know your season when picking out your colors... wrong undertone wrong color pay off! Today with all our full coverage makeup, concealer, correctors and primers... We blank out much of our undertones and makeup in the package is much closer to the discribed color and can be used by different undertones more successfully. Great video, thank you for sharing your vintage buys in such pristine condition... a real treat💖💋💖
Now I understand why my dad goes out of his way to buy red, reddish and orange lipsticks and nail polishes for me. He was born in 1945, so he grew up in the late 40's and during the 50's. I'm an only child so he likes to pamper me, and I guess the way he does that is buying things he identifies as what girls and young women might like and use. ^_^ Damn, thank you for helping me understand my dad a bit more through this video.

i once found an unopened and unused container of cover girl eyeshadow from 1986 ,in my school drama club's dressing room back in 1998, and i opened it, put it on , and I'm still alive, with no sickness, due to putting it on.
678BUMPERLOVER Liked your comment. I still have powder blush and shadows from around 1981-82 or so, and I'm not dead yet. I clean my makeup with alcohol. :)
The olderst thing I ever used was a coverstick by "chicogo" and a lipstick by "astor" made in the 70s and than I once used as I was a child (like 10-12 years ago) a nailpolish by Revlon wich is made in the 80s and that was all stuff of my grandmom and the weird thing is that my grandma had stuff by revlon back than as I was a child , because I thought you can only get Revlon in Germany since 2017... xDD I went up to my grandmom to ask her about and she still has every single piece of her 20-40 years old stuff, but it looks so disgusting now, and wow Revlon was so cheap back than in the 80s cause a sign on the nailpolish said she was paying 4 DM (that would be around 2€/ 2,30$)
Finally somebody who appreciates old vintage makeup. I have a collection of powder compacts with brands like Stratton or Kigu. My oldest one is from 1940s. I also have a Kigu that plays music. I love that you like vintage stuff like makeup or dresses. Could you do a closet tour? I really want to see your dresses!!
Old makeup contains heavy metals (arsenic, lead, mercury) that are really bad for your health, the pigments used wasnt produced correctly (Lisa Eldridge explains in her channel on her video about vintage makeup). It is very very dangerous, please don't do that anymore. You are ruining your skin and health doing that. Most makeup have a exp time and the vintage ones had no technology on them. I wonder what people 75 years or so from now are going to think about our makeup... "So back in the 2010's people were really into unicorn themed makeup, drawing dark lines all over their face to make it look slimmer and more defined, making themselves glow like some sort of celestial beings, putting jewels on their lips and eyebrows and basically anywhere on their face, dyeing their eyebrows, and for some reason they were obsessed with someone called 'Kylie Jenner' and her lips."
I honestly prefer the vintage style makeup than a lot from now a days and im going to be 19 this year also i love these type of videos i love vintage stuff including vintage makeup
I remember going to my great grandma's cabin as a kid and going into her old make up room & she had this big thing of old, vintage, beauty products including make up. I snuck a thing to carry around with me because I loved the smell. but she would get upset because a lot if it actually belonged to her mother my great great grandma) her brother threw everything away after she died.. it's really sad because the house was actually built from my family (my great grandpa's side) & it had so much vintage stuff there. I felt like I was going back in time when I would visit. we would explore the huge property & the (very) small town and actually find arrow heads. I miss those days very much. I find vintage stuff incredibly interesting. I love your twist on the "full face challenge"
My family has a house like that too and it's sooooo cool. I was recently there with my cousin and her friend and we found a book from 300 years ago! The town also has quite a few abandoned places including my moms old school.
Lucy Morris In the 20s they had a face cream that contained radium (radioactive chemical). Forget the name tho. They even used radioactive instruments on the face in some facial treatments.
Jacob Cannon Coming into this video I was worried about radium!! I mean it’s a bit before the times she was buying products from, but I’ve read all about the radium girls or whatever, and the terrible things that happened. It was normal for them while painting radium on things in the factory to paint their nails with it & they also frequently ingested it by licking their paintbrushes to keep it wet.
Wow, what a concept of buying a small sample to see if you actually like something. Make up companies today could take a page from the history book of the past.
Ikr especially with foundations, that's why I use Clinique foundation as they offer free samples to take home at the moment. Good thing because I only found my perfect shade with the third sample lol, would've been a waste of money otherwise
Completely understand that old makeup has bad chemicals in it, but if people used it for years and are still alive I'm sure she's gonna be fine putting it on one time. Can everyone relax
nancy france i think people are just worried bc the chemicals used in old makeup are VERY toxic. People used it for years bc the worse you looked, you more makeup you needed. Makeup had lead, arsenic, etc. in them. She had a protective layer on her skin, though. So it's all good!
nancy france the problem is not the actual composition of the makeup but how OLD it is. it's been out of date for your years now that's why it's potentially dangerous. you wouldn't drink two week old milk and not worry about it
nancy france people also thought it was fine to use heavy machinery with no rules or protection for several years didn't make it fine 😂😂😂😂 that was the dumbest way to reason something. just say she doesn't give a fuck about the side effects and probably took into account shit could happen
Don't shit on other women to praise another. You can just tell her you love her without putting others down. There are tons of people, mostly women, who make beauty videos on YT and they are most certainly NOT all annoying. If you so heavily dislike such a large group of people, the issue is you.
Maialeen nah I'm a woman and I find them annoying and so do tons of other people. I don't need jefrey star and James Charles sassy drama and uppity Hollywood people who act like trend vampires and Nikita dragon is a dick. This girl is adorable and acts like a regular human. And she deserves that praise because she's not trying so hard
Can we all take a moment to respect that kids are on RUclips and the fact of you’re language witch I call is french gone wrong is unacceptable! Thank you!
But wait in my country, the philippines we are still selling avon products even my mom is still selling it to our neighbors and relatives and she encourage some of them or recruit to be an avon seller so that she could be promoted...... And i still use avon products!!
OH MAN HORY SHIT Where I grew up, a small town in Indiana, it was really popular in the early 2000's. If you were a stay at home mom, like my mother was, you were selling it.
Avon is still sold throughout the US as well. She didn't mean that it wasn't sold here anymore, just that it was super popular during the 50's and such.
I love the look of the 40s and 50s advertisements, but it makes me sad seeing that it's always like the same looking girl, white blonde and skinny. Thank God diversity exists now
Yeah but being blonde and skinny is still the beauty standard. there's still so much shit going on in the beauty industry it's very annoying making coloured woman, chubby woman or woman that are different feel like absolute ass. World didn't change much about that and it needs to
@@Shock_Treatment Just 🤐🤫 up. Like their wasn't beautiful black women then. It probably wouldn't sell better if their was a black woman on the product, about light foundation on darker skin. You didn't have to talk about a whole race like that. By calling black women fat and ugly.
yallre freaking out acting like just touching that stuff causes insta-cancer like. REPEATED and PROLONGED exposure to the concentrations of the dangerous chemicals in there is what's dangerous. having that makeup on for like half an hour with a protective layer of modern makeup already on isn't going to instantly kill her. she's not stupid, stop acting like she is.
Some of the old make-ups had heavy metals and other harmful substances in them. If you go back far enough, besides lead, you can also find radium, arsenic, and more.
even if this makeup contains lead, the amount needed to make you sick is a hell of a lot more than one face worth. That and lead was used for a colour called "Chinese White" which was the purest white you could get at the time.
Again, keyword "USED". After it was discovered that lead was poisonous they discontinued use of it. But many women died of lead poisoning due to the lead in their makeup.
LMAO That must be what's in the "clown white" that I got from the vintage makeup my greenroom captain was throwing away xD It's all dried up but I just added some water to rehydrate it and transform it into a paste again
Did your skin feel weird/itchy/sensitive afterwards? Because Makeup products also have a limited keepability, just like food. since some products are over 70 years old I was curious whether they had any weird effect on you. Muuuuch love, you are a big inspiration and such a talented lovely individual! xx
Ensisparvus meh not really. Makeup companies tell you that so that they can stay in business. You end up throwing away perfectly good products. Makeup products, powders especially, last forever.
G.M. No they don't. Germs are getting in it. So you want to put unnessesary germs on your face ? Go ahead. Just because you CAN use something doesn't mean you should. Especially mascara can cause BAD infections. Sure you can use powder a bit longer than the bb-date but with creamproducts you realy should stick to the expireing date. My porefessional just went bad. It smelled a little funny but i didnt noticed cause i had a flue and my nose was clogged. My skin got pretty irretated and i had a massive breakout on the areas i used it
Old makeup contains heavy metals (arsenic, lead, mercury) that are really bad for your health, the pigments used wasnt produced correctly (Lisa Eldridge explains in her channel on her video about vintage makeup). Can everyone just relax. She won't die and i think she knows what she's putting on her face and she's wearing a SAFETY LAYER. So stop commenting it has got chemicals and stuff in it, the women 70 years ago didn't die because of this makeup so she won't either. This is a cool video and i love vintage so this video really makes me happy. It just annoys me that everyone is commenting that this is 'unhealthy'
a lot of things are unhealthy, even our veggies that we eat(because of the hormones, pesticides, chemicles, etc.) xD im with you, people are over reacting.
The packaging - especially lipsticks - was so pretty back in the day. I have a powder compact packaging from the 50s that was my grandmothers and it's so pretty!!! It's enameled and gold, it's stunning :)
y'all can you stop tripping? yes, we get it, old makeup has lead. people who used it for years are fine. she used it once. just calm down and enjoy the content. also, red hair squad
Rhane Leo Rhane Leo the makeup she used didn't have lead. Lead was used in the 1800s but banned in the 1900s. Also, people did actually die from lead in makeup.
i Ioved this so much!!!! this made me so happy to see someone who Ioves vintage things and shares it with the worId. you make me want to own vintage makeup IoI !!
That Princess Pat blush is gorge! I've got a load of vintage skincare and makeup too - can't decide whether to test it on youtube or in Instagram stories! Beautiful work ; ) xoCandy
Camilla Johansson sad that you think feeding a child in public is something to be looked down upon. it is how so many children are raised and that’s how they have been raised for century. i think you look down upon it because you feel grossed out about boobs and nipples and it’s really sad you feel that way. the fact that boobs are sexualized when used to feed a child is absolutely disgusting. i really think you should stop “looking down” on something that is natural and will always be natural. society always has a way to shame things that have been natural for centuries such as armpit hair on women, breastfeeding, etc
remember to spray old makeup with alcohol in a spray bottle before applying, my grandmother has old eyehadows from the 50s... some unopened but she kept one of her older ones so the grand kids can try it out on paper... because it literally had iorn and lead in it we werent allowed to put it on our skin
Stop talking about radiation, every neon colour have a problem with cameras and colour depends on your screen (and here is a problem - in your monitor/phone etc.)... Im a graphic designer I need to fight with this with every client
holy mother of i love this channel. Thank you for making the effort to do all of this; I've got plenty of hand-me-down up-opened items and I actually tend to reach for them more often than, say, "24hr long-wear lipsticks" and like yourself, blushers. I'm also kinda trippin cause everyone sells Avon up here and I could probably help you find some quickly, if wanted. :)
It's so annoying how everyone is saying oh it's unhealthy it's bad for your skin and this and that like okay?? The makeup we're all wearing to this day is unhealthy for our skin. 🙄
Snow Princess No, it's just that's it's REALLY old and people are just trying to make sure she's staying safe. They don't want her to risk her health for a video. There's nothing wrong with that.
Stephanie Ojeda while some of the makeup we have now still has unhealthy components, old makeup was made with ash, harsh oils, formaldehyde, and various other chemicals we know are dangerous.
Only God knows what chemicals are these products made of. For example, in the early 1900 (right after radioactivity was discovered, between 1896 and 1898), companies were advertising radium and uranium based face creams saying that these chemical elements have good properties for the human skin. The problem is not actually the expiration date of the product, but rather the ingredients in it (which may have archieved bad effects throughout time, too).
Hey Stephanie, I highly recommend doing research on the topic. Depending on the formula, makeup can actually be very moisturising for your skin and can cause minimum to no damage, but that's beside the point. Makeup has expiry dates, and for a very good reason! When makeup goes out of date, bacteria grows much faster. Bacteria has been known to cause pink eye, bad breakouts and even cause blindness! But also, old makeup contains extremely harmful chemicals. Makeup back then contained extremely toxic ingredients like iodine, arsenic, lead and even radioactive material. Unfortunately many women had developed cancers and other type of deadly diseases due to their cosmetics and aren't alive to this day. Please stay safe, and be extremely cautious when trying out vintage makeup. Avoid vintage eye makeup and never use the face products on a daily basis.
The blue green on the eyeshadows is copper. Copper turns green with time. These were made in copper containers and the patina transfered onto the product!
I'm kinda sad that makeup companies stopped making these kind of packaging, they're absolutely gorgeous
Tsukimi Kurashita I agree! It would be great if they brought back vintage style packaging.
the balm has some vintage packaging though
Yeah they look really great, but you know how many lipsticks need to be produced nowadays? Way more than back then , also the packaging would cost more than the actual product nowadays, cause metal is more expensive and it's also rarer than plastic... And it's better for the inviriment (don't know if I spelled it correctly)
Danielle Gracia the Balm has recreated vintage art on their packaging. Pretty but not quite the same.
Tsukimi Kurashita Charlotte Tilbury is probably closest we get when it comes to the vintage packaging x
That green stuff in your Avon tubes was verdigris (oxidized copper) and definitely TOXIC!
Good choice not to apply it to you face!
Rebecca Sunnybrook I thought it was mold or smth. Good to know about that tho.
Glad you told her, i was so horrified when i saw that blue layer
I thought it was the pigment... she put it in her brush
She's lucky
I don't think copper is that toxic. All our water pipes were made of copper in our old house, and you could buy it in skin creams and as a medicine

A lot of them do.. Especially the high-end brands..
So many brands have samples so
You know you can use tester products rights?
I think there's a reason why they replaced them for those tester products you would normally see in shops, I kinda see your point though :)
Completely understand that old makeup has bad chemicals in it, but if people used it for years and are still alive I'm sure she's gonna be fine putting it on one time. Can everyone relax
nancy france I mean really! People put worse shit INSIDE their bodies. And it's her face anyway. I don't know why everyone gets so worked up about it
nancy france i think people are just worried bc the chemicals used in old makeup are VERY toxic. People used it for years bc the worse you looked, you more makeup you needed. Makeup had lead, arsenic, etc. in them. She had a protective layer on her skin, though. So it's all good!
nancy france the problem is not the actual composition of the makeup but how OLD it is. it's been out of date for your years now that's why it's potentially dangerous. you wouldn't drink two week old milk and not worry about it
*for years
nancy france people also thought it was fine to use heavy machinery with no rules or protection for several years didn't make it fine 😂😂😂😂 that was the dumbest way to reason something. just say she doesn't give a fuck about the side effects and probably took into account shit could happen
When she was putting on the makeup all i saw was

I love the 40s and 50s (minus all the racism and sexism and homophobia ummm) ugh
if you ignore all the negatives that make it awful from any century its bound to be great
bussy pops have you seen that tumblr post that's like "we still have milkshakes and racism" lmaoo
Holly Rodriguez it's still in a lot of lipsticks lol
bussy pops haha
bussy pops same I love the music
I would never put this shit on my face but you're adorable and not annoying like every beauty person on RUclips. Great idea for a video too.
Maybe this stuff killed her for all we know. Maybe she's dead
Can we all take a moment to respect that kids are on RUclips and the fact of you’re language witch I call is french gone wrong is unacceptable! Thank you!
@chloeketley1900 kids can f off to youtube kids then. this person didnt even say anything that bad
The sentence of the day..

Makeup is too damn expensive

Oh? You don’t want to spend $25 for a tube of lipstick? 😒
Valerie A You do realize that cheap make-up breaks out a lot of people’s skin, right?
you couldn't find an end production date for the angel face powder because they still make it XD
Avon is still popular in UK and Europe ✌
And in Poland.. :D
That “Oh man hory shit” kina reminds me of bts
imagine ppl really use this products back then to go out on date or smtg , im a sucker for vintage things like this❤️❤️
How can one person be so breathtakingly stunning???😍😍 Thank you for blessing me.
BehindTheBunzie You're Super Prettiest and I Like your Video :-)
i showed this to my grandmother and she actually used the ponds lips its so cool

ohemgeeitsmaya hi maya i watch your videos all the time and u r so funny and i just love your videos they also reall cheer me up when im sad
I love the look of the 40s and 50s advertisements, but it makes me sad seeing that it's always like the same looking girl, white blonde and skinny. Thank God diversity exists now
Meli
Agreed !
Yeah but being blonde and skinny is still the beauty standard. there's still so much shit going on in the beauty industry it's very annoying making coloured woman, chubby woman or woman that are different feel like absolute ass. World didn't change much about that and it needs to
Why? I don't see why it's sad
Im pretty sure they were supposed to look like the hollywood beauties and the pin up girls.
@@Shock_Treatment Just 🤐🤫 up. Like their wasn't beautiful black women then. It probably wouldn't sell better if their was a black woman on the product, about light foundation on darker skin. You didn't have to talk about a whole race like that. By calling black women fat and ugly.
In 50 years someone will make a video like “testing vintage Kylie lip kits” lol
Thinking about that is so strange lol
It's amazing how cheap everything used to be back in the day....now every day is a recession
sakura_rain actually, 60 cents = 10.35 dollars in today’s money
iiblxssingii I had a minni heart attack reading that. I know money changed through the years, but damn I have a minni heart attack buying makeup now.
Not really. You have to adjust for inflation.
You must have never heard of inflation 😂😂
Omg I wish makeup was still in cents!
BlueBerry Bluish but you also have to remember how much 60 cents was worth
Orange Chicken how much?
Polina Soyfish have you tried 99 cent store?
Jk don't
Yah but back then 60 cents was so expensive to them then it is now
I think she started the ‘vintage’ aesthetic-
You look just like Ariel from the little mermaid with that killer red hair! Love it
yallre freaking out acting like just touching that stuff causes insta-cancer like. REPEATED and PROLONGED exposure to the concentrations of the dangerous chemicals in there is what's dangerous. having that makeup on for like half an hour with a protective layer of modern makeup already on isn't going to instantly kill her. she's not stupid, stop acting like she is.
sklort mcfungus what chemicals exactly are you talking about
Some of the old make-ups had heavy metals and other harmful substances in them. If you go back far enough, besides lead, you can also find radium, arsenic, and more.
666th like :3
Nars lipstick Red Lizard was found to have lead in it.
even if this makeup contains lead, the amount needed to make you sick is a hell of a lot more than one face worth. That and lead was used for a colour called "Chinese White" which was the purest white you could get at the time.
Samm Stark zinc oxide is used for white not lead.
They actually used quite a lot of lead in products and it builds up in your body each time you use the product gradually making you sick.
Nars lipstick has lead too.
Think that’s old?
My great grandma was born in 1926
She died two years ago though..
Also I love your videos

La Chica Licha we call this make up because yes she had makeup before to try the make up 😂
Lol, right?
also the blue on the silver shadow is probably oxidised copper.
Samm Stark she didn't use it she knew it was corroded
Samm Stark probably.

I'm a history buff and I love make up so this is just awesome
When you said you had a protective layer on your skin I was like THANK GOD 😂😂😂😂😂
Did your skin feel weird/itchy/sensitive afterwards? Because Makeup products also have a limited keepability, just like food. since some products are over 70 years old I was curious whether they had any weird effect on you.
Muuuuch love, you are a big inspiration and such a talented lovely individual! xx
oh lol okay you had a protective layer, I should watch the video first :D
My skin got pretty irretated and i had a massive breakout on the areas i used it
Didi von Do'Urden That's most likely if it's opened and used. Most of these were most likely sealed off.
Im sorry about my english. Im Graduated on Makeup, and i had classes on biological security of makeup!!!
In about 50 years, people will be showing off their "vintage" Naked 3 pallets and mac lipsticks.
am i the only one that noticed Dear Future Husband as the background music?

Can everyone just relax. She won't die and i think she knows what she's putting on her face and she's wearing a SAFETY LAYER. So stop commenting it has got chemicals and stuff in it, the women 70 years ago didn't die because of this makeup so she won't either. This is a cool video and i love vintage so this video really makes me happy. It just annoys me that everyone is commenting that this is 'unhealthy'
Neni H. A lot of people that smoke cigarettes didn't die, but that doesn't mean it's not unhealthy. Makeup also has expiration dates.
Anna L yeah sure but still one person commenting that would be more than enough
I only commented to point out your faulty logic.
a lot of things are unhealthy, even our veggies that we eat(because of the hormones, pesticides, chemicles, etc.) xD im with you, people are over reacting.
Your skin is literally perfect
The packaging - especially lipsticks - was so pretty back in the day. I have a powder compact packaging from the 50s that was my grandmothers and it's so pretty!!! It's enameled and gold, it's stunning :)
Me and My mom are huge fans of vintage things. We went to a moving sale and we found 3 Revlon blush compacts from the 1950’s. It was a great find!
She looks like real life cat valentine 😂❤️
Except waaayyyy prettier 😍 😍
my great grandmother (my grandma's mom) born in 1929 and she is still alive now. I already seen her old makeup
Do a video on how you find those beautiful vintage dresses!
y'all can you stop tripping? yes, we get it, old makeup has lead. people who used it for years are fine. she used it once.
just calm down and enjoy the content.
also, red hair squad
Rhane Leo Rhane Leo the makeup she used didn't have lead. Lead was used in the 1800s but banned in the 1900s. Also, people did actually die from lead in makeup.
Hi Jessica. It's almost mid night where I live but I don't care how late it is. At least I say hi to you!
"This literally smells like an old lady, but like after she farted" LMAO
SimSkeleton don’t tell them that!
Oddly specific. 😂
your hair is so killer ❤
Aliyah Shameem you are so pretty!!
i Ioved this so much!!!! this made me so happy to see someone who Ioves vintage things and shares it with the worId. you make me want to own vintage makeup IoI !!
Céline Marce same here .. I wanna try vintage make up but where to buy it from :/
You look like ariel in her date with erik💓💓
That Princess Pat blush is gorge! I've got a load of vintage skincare and makeup too - can't decide whether to test it on youtube or in Instagram stories! Beautiful work ; ) xoCandy
Candy Holladay omg so cool!!!! We’re do you get it?
Sweet
Lanolin is the oil in sheeps wool - that is what you were smelling! 😂
Lizzie Dean Makes I use lanolin on my nipples because I breast feed
Keisha Jordan same 😊
@Camilla Johansson what's wrong with breast feeding? What r u disgusted by a natural and healthier way of feeding a baby? Jeez.
It is gross if you live in this society. Unless you are being extremely discreet. No one wants to see nipples when in a restaurant.
Where I live we still have Avon ladies !
wow. -.-
Same
remember to spray old makeup with alcohol in a spray bottle before applying, my grandmother has old eyehadows from the 50s... some unopened but she kept one of her older ones so the grand kids can try it out on paper... because it literally had iorn and lead in it we werent allowed to put it on our skin
Scythe Scythe but lead was banned in America in the 1900's. Unless you lived in another country?
She reminds me of cat from Sam and cat mixed with Ariel
Didn't you already film and post this ??? Am I going crazy???
stephaanie salas She deleted it from her main channel because she wants only transformations on it, she wants this channel to be everything else.
stephaanie salas yes and she reuploaded it here😊
stephaanie salas ikr I was thinking the same
stephaanie salas same i thought i was going crazy😂
stephaanie salas omg I saw this and I was like wait I watched this like 2-3 months ago what the heck
the blush actually looks neon pink to me, not orange.
Sometimes colors don't show up well on camera. It may look orange in person but more red or pink on camera
I thought it looked really bright red with a orange undertone!
Stop talking about radiation, every neon colour have a problem with cameras and colour depends on your screen (and here is a problem - in your monitor/phone etc.)... Im a graphic designer I need to fight with this with every client
girl this makeup be havin radioactive radium and shiet oh my lawrd
Burgundy right!!!.........
this reminds me of ariana grande’s 50’s vintagey phase back in 2012/2013 when she was still doing victorious
holy mother of i love this channel. :)
I have an Avon lady, it's still a thing lol
Same! Some of the products in my area are actually amazing😂
panda beawwwr my mom is an avon lady
My mum is AVON lady :D
My Daughter is a Avon Lady and she is in her early 20's.
I love vinatage styles way more than modern ones
My mom still has an Avon lady, in 2019 🤔
so does mine
Lol reps are everywhere you can look them up by zip code on avon's website XD
My mom is one...lol
I love Avon reps I get free testers from my Nan 😂
Scittle Skits my aunt is an Avon lady lol
The problem is not actually the expiration date of the product, but rather the ingredients in it (which may have archieved bad effects throughout time, too).
texas honey preach
I really wish I had a natural beauty like you do you can make even expired makeup look perfect! All hail the vintage queen! 👑❤️
Makeup for 60 cents? Sign me up.
look up inflation lmao
Hannah Thomas 60 cents then is 10.27 now
It’s about $13 in 2022 rates. Lol :(
Whenever I hear Avon I instantly think of Edward Scissorhands, glad to see I’m not alone
I think: “Avon calling!”
The blue green on the eyeshadows is copper. Copper turns green with time. These were made in copper containers and the patina transfered onto the product!
This is cool...lipstick was $0.60?? A decent one that actually stays on is like $13.00 today!!! I was born in the wrong century...
Clara Smith yeah but in those times currency for $0.60 was actually just as expensive as it is today.
If you were born in the precedent century you would have experienced wars, segregation, all that kind of nasty stuff...
That's true haha
Yeah, this is probably the better century to live in. lol
It's due to inflation
53 cents?! DANNNNG! I WISH MAKEUP WAS THAT CHEAP NOWADAYS!!! XD
It's Me! Emmy! Ever heard of inflation?
