Fully playable faithful recreation of the original Pac-Man arcade game. The ghosts have their original AI, it has all the original sound effects, even the playful intermissions!
But this map has a twist: it is multiplayer compatible.
You and up to four friends can hop into any character you like and play as that character until game over. The game will even play itself if no one is playing, and you can hop in or out of the game at any time. If no one plays as Pac-Man, an AI will take the wheel and play its best to eat as many pellets as possible.

love the attention to detail with cruise elroy, and it looks like the ghosts change phase, and especially those areas where the ghosts cant go up! excellent work!

This came out fantastic! I had to get a doubletake when I saw the thumbnail, because it looked so similar to the one I made a while back, but this is far superior. This is so well made, all the attention to the little details is simply astounding.

hey. might be late but when i put the files in, it doesn't load the textures, the world is fine but no the textures
The resource pack is included with the world download, but it must be put in the resourcepacks folder.

It is included in the world download. It's separate from the world file because of people playing it on multiplayer. Though in hindsight putting it in the world directly would have been nice.

idea: add the 256 glitch after level 8
Level 256 actually does signal the end, though I did not recreate the glitched appearance. Level 8 is far too soon since reasonable playthroughs can go well beyond that.

You can put the map onto a server and host it, or alternatively (and more easily), you can boot up one of the StickyPiston trials and get a free server to run the map for about 2 hours: trial.stickypiston.co/map/pacman2
I thought you were going to show us how it worked in terms of redstone, command blocks, etc.
It uses a data pack behind the scenes so it wouldn't be too thrilling to show that. haha
Although a showcase that shows how it works might be interesting to do in the future.

Sounds like you didn't have the resource pack installed. The resource pack is contained in the downloadable ZIP.

Is there a way to make levels in this?
It wasn't designed with that in mind. A good deal of the system behind the scenes relies on this specific layout of the labyrinth so changing it would be a big chore.
I want to download this to just break the game so I can be in the maze not playing as Pac-Man

Yes, all 3 intermissions are implemented.
@@Dominexis another question, is there any kill screen when you reach to level 256? (a bug in original edition that'll stop you continue progress any further)
@@aboredgamertt8534 The game will stop at level 256, though I did not implement the kill screen as that was way more assets than I was willing to create for a small easter egg.

Yes, but that is for Bedrock and isn't a faithful recreation of the original arcade game. Besides, there's nothing wrong with doing something similar if you add your own twist to it.

It can, yes. I merely showed it off with multiple players to demonstrate the map's capability.
The game will only wait if there are characters available and there are still players in the lobby. In singleplayer, it will start immediately when you join as a character.

Is it also working on bedrock?
This map does not have a version for Bedrock. This is because the only way to reasonably distribute a Bedrock map like this is through the Marketplace, and obviously little ol' me ain't gonna make a license deal with Namco since they already did with Gamemode One. So Java is all we got.

Yes, I showcase it in the video at 7:15, there is a lever on the back wall that enables the mode.
@@Dominexis is it also recomended for ghost turnaround to be off durring multiplayer?
@@Powerhead201 That depends. Generally it is more fair if the ghosts are not allowed to turn around, but that ultimately depends on your preference.
@@Dominexis i dont see the ghosts really turn around that much, i turn it on for smoother gameplay as a ghost
@@Powerhead201 It's perfectly fine to turn it on, it is just off by default as the automated ghosts rarely turn around.

If your phone can somehow emulate Java Edition, but it cannot be played on Pocket Edition.

Indeed it was! The map and all of its components are completely vanilla, no mods required.

But I play minecraft in bedrock edition 1.17.0
I'm glad you like it, but unfortunately there are some complications in that I don't have much interest in making a Bedrock map that is not for the Marketplace, and I clearly can't put this map on the Marketplace since Gamemode One already made a license deal with Namco for the rights to a Bedrock Pac-Man map.
Alternatively if you have access to a PC, getting Java Edition is pretty trivial.

How I can instal this map
You put the world folder inside the saves folder in your .minecraft folder, you also apply the resource pack in the same way. There are tutorials online for this very purpose.

Actually it doesn't use Animated Java, it just uses teleports and state management.
