I have done that to friends in the past. I was heading out fishing they thought it would be funny to squirt me with water guns I retaliated with my 200 horse outboard I won!
I would also love that explanation. I used to have a berth at a marina and in the summer, some prick would always park their boat in my berth. I wonder if this is what happened with this guy.
The "dumb one" was trying to dock during a sideways current and had his trim up. When almost backing into the "smart one" , he gave to much throttle forward and prop washed the "smart one" by accident (or on purpose). And to avoid getting beat down, he drove away. IMO
Bryan Walters maybe... but my take is different. This seems to be a fueling station. My best guess is that the bigger boat (which had bumpers deployed on it's starboard side) got there first and was probably trying to turn around to back in to the dock. The smaller boat probably took this opportunity to cut in front of him and the rest is history. Pissed off from his spot been taken, he swings towards the small boat's side, trim up the drives and decides to spray them.. This is a common technique used on boats for pranks... this guy's intention was obviously not to be funny....
Mad Max . Maybe. I didn't see any fuel pumps, hoses, or attendants, thou. And, the larger boat has his bumpers on the wrong side. And only sportfish vessels NEED to back into slips (with or against current). (Because they have to, just to get off the vessel). I still will continue to call the small boat the "smarter one" and the larger boat the "dumb one". Honestly Imo- they're both dumb for buying a bowrider and a mold cabin style boats with i/o drive! Just like most of the dummies at the docks or ramps, we MAY NEVER know what the heck they were thinking. Lol
Bryan Walters here in Miami, this shit happens all the time. I've owned a 23' bow rider for 11 years now and I have to constantly be on my toes when docking at a busy marina, since there's always an smart-ass that will try to cut in traffic. Since you brought it up, @ 0:02 there are black fuel hoses laying across the docks. As far as your comment on sport fishing boats been the only ones that should back up is an incorrect statement, specially if there's no wind or current as the video clearly shows. The guy on the bigger boat probably wanted to back up to have the dock on the starboard side (his side) since it's not a center console and so he can attend the dock lines faster since after all, he is alone. I also see no evidence that either of these two boats were once bow-riders, they look factory stock to me.... It's nor here or there... the video is entertaining to say the least.
Mad Max .. i see the black fuel lines, now. But it doesn't excuse his "dumbness". He could have docked on the other side of the dock or moved his bumpers over, or pull behind and used a 2nd fuel line. And there IS a moving tide or current. Look at the water flowing from under the "fuel line dock". And yes, Miami is most definitely FULL of dumbasses. Haulover is the best place to see "googans". The best in the WORLD!!! Yes, The WORLD!!! Your experience...... i am glad you brought that up. I have been commercial fishing for the south Atlantic fisheries market, and I was a not-for-hire "captain" with a six-pack license for 18 years while on a 42' Rybovich (practically lived on) while competing in Billfish tournaments all over the WORLD and i also have been an "active" 500 ton license holder for 22 years, as well as, a saltwater species products license. But, fresh out of high school, I worked for a very reputable boat builder down there in Miami (building) and Palm Beach (repairing) vessels. And my comment about bowriders and moldy cabin boats are, because they generally ARE the same (one is open and the other is inside the moldy cabin). Both are the exact same single layer manufactured "pop-out of a mold" hual (cheap). And both have I/O. (The biggest P.O.S. ever thought up). It is literally a combination of the worst parts of an outboard (lower unit) and an inboard (a motor below the waterline). And, I/O cannot trim props out of water or above waterline, needs way more maintenance, and commonly "explode" due to lack of sufficient venting. Hints why I call them boats and not vessels. They are nothing more than a cheap toy, that is only good for getting drunk on. Although, The more I watch this video, it does appear to be "on purpose" and was not trying to dock at all, but he is still a pussy for running off. Lol. After all of my bashing on them, I need to give a compliment to them........ Ummm.. at least they aren't playing golf or tennis....... Lol. I agree..... very entertaining!

They stole the boat
Norwegians never using the boat because they are afraid of "using it up" then when out in it it this happen once a year)

they intentionally splash water on others because they don't use the boat very often? how does that make sense?
I would also love that explanation. I used to have a berth at a marina and in the summer, some prick would always park their boat in my berth.
